Their live performance of this song at the Alchemy concert will blow your head off, much more energy and an extended epic guitar solo.

The LIVE performance of this @ ALCHEMY in London is one of THE great live performances and I bought my first records 63 years ago in 1960.

Fun fact........ Mark Knopfler was born in my hometown of Glasgow, Scotland initially living in Drumchapel. He lived on the same street I grew up on in Scotstoun and attended the same Primary School as myself before moving to Newcastle on Tyne. He's up there with the best guitarists in the world! Great reaction!

Dire Straits are a great British rock band from the 70's-90's. Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists around. They have had so many hits including "Walk Of Life", "Brothers In Arms", "Money For Nothing", "Telegraph Road", "Romeo & Juliet", "Private Investigations", "Twisting By The Pool", "So Far Away" etc. They don't have a bad song.

This song became a hugh..hugh hit all over the world in the late 70. And Dire straits became one of the greatest bands ever. Mark Knopflers fingerpicking was unic and still is. Well you can copie him..but not play like him. Great guitarplayer..GREAT band. Thanks for reacting.❤

As so many have said , Really worth going to see the Sultans of Swing from Alchemy live, the solos are mind blowing , I feel like you only get half a track with this version compared to 3 tracks with the live version. No idea why this track fades during his solo.
This was a shortened version. It cut off most of the fantastic guitar solo at the end.
