Great video, this was my very first AMD card after my 8800GT died in 2012. I had the ASUS DirectCU version. I have soooo many great memories with this card... I remember it started getting unstable though with default clocks so I had to underclock it by 50MHz, but I still have it in its original box. Then I went for RX580 and now on 6600XT, looking for the new 9000 series to upgrade.
the first and only gpu i bought brand new and on release , i got nothing but praise for that hd7770 it got me thru many years of fine gaming and fun, i played a lot of battlefield 3 on it !!! .... so good to see it again giving up its best , thanks daniel this bring back so many good memories .. :)
I was playing CoD 2019 last night and my VRAM was hitting over 19 gigs (i have a 7900XT) so seeing this thing with 1 gig able to play some somewhat recent games is amazing.
I had a 7770 ghz 1GB in my second pc for many years, but it went to "pcb heaven" recently. I replaced it with a dual fan 960 2GB for 25eur. It isnt obsolete, unless you really need that performance.Old games and many indie titles run just fine with 7770, the 2GB model aged better.
I dont know if the hd7770 ghz (r7 250x) get a 4gb variant... BUT HER LIL SISTER THE R7 250 (CAPE VERDE) GOT 4GB VARIANT I MEAN HOW!? even if that a gddr3 that should perform better than 2gb gddr5 in case of the game need a lot of vram
@ yes hd7770 ghz is r7 250x, they have the same chip cape verde with same shadder count 16/40/640, but hd7770 ghz mostly has higher core clock, you can say that its a binned version of r7 250x, I'm not sure about it though, since I dont have r7 250x to compare the ASIC while r7 250 cape verde only at 16/32/512 and... r7 250 oland perform way worst since its only at 8/24/384 the r7 250 cape verde 4gb I found is gddr3 128bit from sapphire, really want to buy it but dang I have to pay for something else, I just wish after paying something I still have spare money to buy it
@ now that you mention it... r7 250 oland has same chip as r7 350x oland, but the sticker on the 4gb variant I found is "r7 250 4gb 512sp gddr3" something like this
@@DanielCardei Pretty much everything was playable. I played mostly FPS games like Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 2, 3 and Black Ops 2. Before I was using my old old PC bought in the 2005 with Geforce FX 5500, single core amd athlon cpu and 512 mb ram so it was a generational upgrade for me really.
When you tested GTX 555- I thought about GTX 666. Now with HD 7770- about HD 6660, but there is only HD 6670 or newer RX 6600/6600 XT. So maybe at least do some test with any Radeon from Power Color Red Devil series? 😈😈😈
It would be good to see how this runs on high and max settings.. Vram will bottleneck it but lets see what FPS we are going to get.. Good vid. It is one of the best GPU for retro gaming, If you want top notch win xp games performance from say 2000 to 2005, this is your video card. Pair it with a cheap I5-2400, 4GB DDR2 ram and this puppy (all for under 100 AUD) and you are cooking on gas esp if you can find a 1600by1200 monitor.
What are you headphones and are they good? I mean especially- comfortable? I am asking, because I wear glasses too (prescription glasses, not sunglasses- but nevermind) and my old headphones made my auricles ache quite fast- because of this, I mainly use speakers. Now they broke themselves mainly just because of age, I think about buying new and the ears comfort is main thing for me.
Logitech G635. big ear cup it fits inside easy. can`t have to long something that is like the Sony mx headphones. makes the ears sweaty. This Logitech is with textile material and with the glasses its ok. Not a very powerful sound. Very flat but that is good for editing.
@@DanielCardei Thanks. I checked and they are not sold new anymore. I thought about SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1- most endorsed in popular Polish computer shop now. But are they ok with glasses? I am not sure. Anyway- I'll continue searching...

Good to hear plus Bf3 still rocks 🙃
man, I really like your videos so many memories.
Thank you
It's always been a good card, thanks for showing
🤝
Wow this takes me all the way back this was the first gpu i ever bought and threw into an HP core duo machine it was great for oblivion
Bf3 came out and I upgraded to a GTX780 and man what an upgrade that was back then 😂

What settings you had for that omg?
If got a 6770 hd for skyrim, mass effect, deus ex human revolution, and crysis back in the day
Didn't perform badly at all, pleasantly impressed on how a mid-range to budget card manages to hold up.
Thanks for the video. nice card
Thanks for watching!
I am surprised that it even launches Forza Horizon 5. Nice one!
Truly even with low fps it was a W.
The good fortune card 777 👌 not bad .
I remember playing Battlefield 4 with one of these beasts back in 2013-2014 at 1080P Ultra (no AA or AF) with iirc 55-65FPS
With what cpu?
@ FX-6100
Oldie can still be a goodie. Surprised it can play anything well with lack of updated driver support and low ram.

@@Kanivalos80 really better but with same core speed right?
Brother please include graphics settings on the top right corner of the game ❤
I love how cheap the older GPUs are. 🎉🎉
Thats a good thing.
oh look, my gpu
and its still rocking.
mine is 2gb version oem made by HP

Back when NVIDIA competition had more VRAM.

As soon as vram is filled, the performance drops drastically, most games would run like forza horizon 5.
Best card with xp drivers for retro gaming is GTX 960, 7770 would work as well.

Please add minimum fps to the chart!!.
Most important number for competitiveness 😅
Maybe talk about locking fps to min and see how it effects power and show if it is still playable ####
1st! Whoo hoo 🙌
🎉
Looks like my gtx 1650 super.. it has only one fan too.
Same subventor?
Honestly, I really like the performance this video is giving me.
While I watch it in background while playing a game hahaha
