In this video I show how to replace both engine mounts on E46 XI Models. The car in particular is a 2001 325XIT. This process is the same for wagons and sedans of the XI family (325xi, 330xi, 325xit, 330xit). Thanks for watching!

Your channel is one of the few on RUclips in regards to DIYer repairs on strictly BMW's. I like your DIY repair videos the best because you do a great job at teaching us how to repair our cars so we dont have to pay an extreme high price at the dealership. My only critique would be to use less fast forward editing as I love to see each and every step. The little bit youre trying to save on video time is not that much in comparison to what we might miss in that mode. Explain every step in detail as I see you usually do and your subscribers list will grow exponentially because you have a niche market for your repairs. I dont even own a BMW and I catch myself watching your videos because of their quality. Great job

that was me while i was looking to buy my car, i looked at his buying guide and it helped boost my confidence buying my car.
On the Xi models, the passenger side mount can be put in without needing to lower the subframe...but the driver side is IMPOSSIBLE without doing so. I was tearing my hair out trying to figure it out., so thanks a million for the video. Tomorrow I'll try the subframe trick. My mounts aren't even in bad shape, but it's the principle of the thing at this point lol

left one is like angine mount of bmw X3 a ve made a little modification one the x3 one for the e46xi
The top bolt on the passenger mount is easier from the top using 2 extensions

I just tried to do this repair but when I got underneath to take out the passenger mount, I had no where near the amount of space above the mount as you did. I can’t even get the top bolt off even with the tool and socket from the video :(

Hey there is a ticking noise coming from the center console of my e46 the more I accelerate the quicker it gets and when I put the car in neutral and rev it the ticking noise isn't there only when in gear what do you think it could be?
Hey bro got a question i have a 2003 bmw 325i 5 speed manual sedan. the only problem i have with it is that when im in 3rd or 4th gear and im at low rpms the car starts to jerk and then the higher the rpms it goes away. Do you know what can cause this?

Hello, I have a bmw 320d 136hp and when I reach 140 kilometers hour in accelaration the car loses power and does not accelarte.
I already cleaned the egr vale and remains the same.
Do you have any suggestion?

Does the engine mount from X3 from this yoer fit on 330xd? I am looking for replacing it but I can find just an OEM mount which costs 200. And I found that the mounts from the X3 look pretty similar but I am not sure if it fits.

hello can you help me i have a problem no one has a solution when i look at the engine mounts are good whole and the engine staggers when idle and there are high vibrations?

replaced transmission and engine mount still have excessive vibration while in drive or reverse. Once i put it in neutral, zero vibration.
Might be the driveline u joints or the center carrier bearing, I think BMW calls it the guido bearing

While i have my foot on the brakes and slighty increase the rpm by about 100 or 200 its butter smooth, could this be my engine mounts?

Hay Jason, I love your videos you do great work. I have an XI wagon myself but I just have a question. the brakes aren't as firm as I would like. Can E90 E92 E93 front OEM Calipers fit on a e46?

You want to replace the sub-frame bolts after you have loosened them.
Can you help me show how to take out the engine mounts on a 2003 BMW X5 is it the same thing?
I just need to change the two engine mounts, I unbolted both of them and jacked up the engine from the oil pan and nothing really moved. Do i need to unbolt the transmission mount as well?
How much would a job like this cost?
