So touching, so beutifull. I remember as a child listening to this Adagio played by a small band that always folowed catholic processions. Before Easter, there was a procession in honor of Jesus Christ, not ressurected yet. And this was always the music played as the procession with hundreds of faithfull marched through the streets of the old town, from the main Church to the another church.. Unforgetable for me.
How can Mr.Demirev remain in one piece while playing this magnificent and stunning piece?. He just broke my soul and my whole being in thousand pieces and them put them back together. When listening to marvelous compositions like this I must think music is the language to be in the proper state for communicating with God. Absolutamente excelso. Este debe ser el lenguaje para hablar con Dios.
I am addicted to this piece as well. I have not picked up a Violin in 20 years and this piece makes me want to play again and perfect the craft again. I started playing at the age of 7 years old and Graduated from a music conservatory.
20 years and yet every time i listen to this master piece, my eyes fill with tears. There is so much sadness in this piece of music. I thank you Tomaso Albinoni for composing this piece .I hope you are still making sweet music in the heavens. God bless you. My heart felt thank you.
Talent can be hard to judge before it is displayed. Such a beautiful performance! The piece that he played never sounded so good. Heartbreaking in it's glory.
Vesselin Demirev was born in Varna, Bulgaria and began his musical studies at the age of four. He holds a Master of Arts degree from the prestigious National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, and an Artist Certificate in violin performance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Vesselin has held the position of concertmaster of the New Symphony Orchestra of Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as the Abilene Abilene Philharmonic, Texas. He is currently concertmaster of the Irving Symphony and the Plano Symphony Orchestra
@@_bbie I already listened to the lady, she plays very well, although with accents out of place, and tends to inflate the notes. You could say is a nice version of a baroque piece in a romantic style. In my opinion this gentleman Demirev is more faithful to the style of the time, respects the original ligatures and has a warmer tone. All in all, both versions are good. but you have to try to approach the composer.🎩

Amazing! I'm so used to hearing this performed by at least an ensemble, but never by a solo violinist. I almost passed this video up because of it. Sure glad i didn't! He simply fills the room with his single violin. Wonderful performance!
This is the best version I ever watched by now, and I believe will be the best to me always. the sudden noisy do not influance my view on this. Great performance, so deep to the soul, well control of p. or f. amd the sound of the violin and organ is great too! I have listened to this and some other pieces and finally I can not help to leave this message to praise the violinist and the organist.
Ahhh, This is my favorite classical piece also. Most people I know think it's too sad...I absolutely fell in love with it the first time I heard it many years ago....Wow...it makes my heart sing
La mejor interpretacion de esta obra maestra, 2 musicos que no se concocian, Vesselin no se sabia ni el nombre de Bradley Reznicek, se encuentran en un momento especial. No cabe duda que la musica es algo universal. Gracias por compartir
Actually, this adagio was not composed by Albinoni, but by an Italian musicologist named Remo Giazzotto who used several excerpts from Albinoni's work that he had kept in his archives. It was composed in 1945, so it's quite recent.
Very knowledgeable and greatly appreciated for your comment. Thank you. I looked this up and was confused about who it came from so to speak. Thank you for clarifying
Must be great to go to the church in Plano, TX and listen to this... Vesselin Demirev has established himself as a violinist and artist of unique quality, known for his virtuosity, special sound, superb musicianship and the integrity of his playing. Mr. Demirev was born in Varna, Bulgaria. He was introduced to the violin at age of 3. His successes started at age 9 when he was chosen to perform in the “Georgi Kirkov” hall in Sofia, Bulgaria, participating in the opening and closing concerts of the First International Youth Assembly “Peace’s Flag”. At age 15 he won the 1st Prize and the Special Audience Award of the most prestigious National Competition “Svetoslav Obretenov”, Provadia, Bulgaria. In 1988 he graduated from the Special School of Music “Dobri Hristov”, Varna, Bulgaria, in the class of Mrs. Anna Kovatcheva. From 1990 - 1992 Vesselin Demirev was the First Concertmaster of the New Symphony Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1992 he fulfills his Master Degree from the National Academy of Music “Pantcho Vladigerov”, Sofia, in the class of Prof. Dora Ivanova. Next year he was awarded a full scholarship for the Artist Certificate Program at Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, USA, in the studio of Dr. Eduard Schmieder. From 1996 to 2006 Mr. Demirev was teaching violin, chamber music, and orchestral repertory class at SMU in Dallas. Since 1995 Mr. Demirev is Concertmaster of Plano Symphony Orchestra, Plano, USA. He has performed to critical acclaim with major orchestras and in numerous concerts and solo recitals, which have taken him to concert stages in Austria, Hungary, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and the United States. Mr. Demirev had the privilege to work with conductors like Carlos Calmar, Rossen Milanov, Hector Guzman, Victor Pablo Perez, Carlo Rizzi, Peshek, etc. He also worked with violinist like Mintcho Mintchev, Georgi Badev, Josif Radionov, Angel Stankov, Vesko Eshkenazy, Emanuel Borok, Herman Crebbers, Ifra Neaman, Jar Kless, Erick Friedman, Liviu Prunaru, Pavel Sporcl, etc. Mr. Demirev appeared live in numerous radio broadcasts, both in Europe and the USA. Since 2007 Mr. Demirev is a guest Concertmaster of the prestigious Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia in La Coruna, Spain.
Thank You for Vesselin Demirev's short biography. He is definitely a first class violinist, and a former child prodigy. He is a living proof that a great talent can come from any country, including from an East-European one, like Bulgaria. And unfortunately, he also confirms the general rule: the people with the greatest talents, in any field, end up in U.S., depriving their birth countries of their talent but making proud their countrymen of their international success.

Lorraine Ashby I just checked her version, shes great, but this one I do prefer only instrumental, and this one that you shared is really fabulous. I shared with you The Doors version, have u seen it?
blitzkriegahsofar Thank you for checking Lara Fabian:)) I have not listened to the Doors version but will do so after the Easter period - the Doors are an iconic band so I am sure it will be very good. Big hugs Lorraine :))
That's probably because this is the song satan played when he was casted out of heaven and still plays it cause he knows he is doomed when Christ returns.
Peaks and valleys - an interpretation of life - reaching one plateau - sliding back - climbing back to reach another plateau - never reaching the final plateau - crying with each climb and fall. The saddest piece of music I have ever heard - I weep, Vesselin Demirev!

The sea of tranquility flowing ever so gracefully through one's mind inspires sadness indeed, although one should be ecstatic to have the honor of listening to such things anytime. : )
Vesselin Demirev came from nowhere (I've never heard of him...sorry for being impolite), he looked like he was "improvising", he didn't even remember the name of the organist (it seemed like Vesselin had just met him). In my opinion this is by far the best version of Adagio in G-minor i could find on Utube.
But thats my thought, prove me wrong if u can please.
Yeah but the bangs ruined the part.
