Refreshing to get an honest food review weather it's good or bad. Well done on the great content guys👍. My score from watching this is 6.5 maybe 7 out of 10
Top man, thanks for the kind words! 💙
Just came across this channel recently - great to see a Dub doin down to earth and brief reviews. Have been watching a good few reviews on Gary Eats and he doesn't seem to have problems filming unannounced? Maybe more discrete camera?
Keep it up Paul and camera-man John😀
Welcome aboard & thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Means a lot to us 🤝
We need to have a drinking game where we take a drink whenever you fix your hair😁 Love the videos btw
😂😂😂 haircut needed! Thanks for the comment! 💙
Funny how in gentrified places you're constantly led to believe they're selling something special. It's a slice of pizza, not a spaceship. In Italy or Spain, where you still have the old school type of bakeries, a slice of pizza of that size would be €1.50, if that. Same with coffees. When did we start accepting that a coffee can be £4? It's a fuckin coffee, you get in, you pay your €1.50 and you leave. No one has ever asked for coffee beans from the the North Pole or Amazonia. We honestly need to wake up on cost of living and gentrification
Is the average wage in Spain the same as Ireland? Gway will ya 😂😂😂😂
bottle of Jim Beam is around 12 pounds in Germany, in ireland its around 30.
same o stuff, much different price
Ye dope

Firstly, this is in the absolute peak city centre, not a gentrified area, this area would have always be a high footfall popular commercial area. Second thing, who tells you it’s something more than a pizza? As far as I see it’s being sold as Detroit style pizza. Nobody in business will downplay the product they sell, if you don’t know that already that’s a short coming in your understanding of how the world works. Dublin, as I’m sure you know is a total rip off, very little any small business owners can do about their tax, rent, rates, staff wages, food costs, insurance, electricity. Generally the operator in any business will have a general passion or interest in what they do but first and foremost they need to be profitable to pay the overheads and make a living. With the high costs I’ve mentioned that’s why you will see €4 coffees or €6 pizza. Also I feel you may not actually find bakeries selling pizza slices for €1.50 on the continent, although they may be lower the the cost in Dublin.
7.6 seems harsh here. I get it’s not your kind of pizza, but they’re giving a little variety in a city that’s mostly full of Neapolitan style or a New York slice. We parked up on bins and had a few slices, and they were top notch. We were pissed up though, so impossible to tell if this impacted it. Either way though it was good quality gear and nice
Go back sober and I think you’ll agree with my score! If I was drunk it’d be a 9! 😅
Good review, well done. How about reviewing a Döner Kebab and Taco fries from Abrakebabra next ?
Oh god! Abrakebabra?? Do you pray on my demise 😅
Nothing Detroit style about that first slice. I split time between the states and my native Switzerland, and I’ve never seen lasagna on a slice in the states 😂
5 euro for a slice is mad expensive. that slice cost maybe 1 quid to make
When I’m saying prices are ‘not bad’ ‘cheap’ I’m comparing to all the other spots I’ve tried. Average slice of pizza in Dublin is 6 quid from my experiences!
That’s how business works
Think the place should be clearly mentioned a couple times incl a caption for viewers. As to leave no doubt.
People like context too so maybe the last 50yds to the place be filmed so people know landmarks.
Great idea! I try to include names & streets in the reviews but I’ll give this a go, thanks for the comment! 🤝
It is just next to the George - you know where that is surely? 🙂
I’ve gotten this before and it was cold , raggginggggg
Ye I just got to the part you said it was Luke warm …. Wtc with that ??? Must be left
@@IsaacMcguinness-i5m Yeah really disappointing isn’t it!
Reminds me of a goodfellas deep dish pizza.
Hahaha the Detroit style tasted similar!
It always needs Ranch and I mean Ranch and then hot sauce
Very saucy!😅
Bloody hipsters. You know the cool spots in fairness.
Not sure if that’s an insult or a compliment 😂😂
@@Paul_IsItWorthIt You are the least hipster looking fella I've ever seen bro!
Real deal score 😂😂
But true that nice presentation don’t always mean good taste…yup the lads
😂😂 thanks for the comment mate means a lot. See you in the next one! 💥
Try Il Capo for a laugh in Amien street hahah
Think that's Talbot street. Decent pizza, and the locals are friendly.
I’ll get it added to the list now, thanks for the recommendation 💥
wait, they are 5 euro each and you think that's good value?
In comparison to every other pizza slice spot in Dublin it is good value mate, not saying €5 for a slice is good 😅
@@Paul_IsItWorthIt Ok fair enough. I was just comparing it to what would make up a whole pizza. It seems that they get away with more when they sell them this way, cheers.
Looks Decent 7/10 by looks, not my style of pizza tbf, im not sure on the value for money though honestly I'd rather get a kebab if i went Dublin, a decent pizza is fairly easy to find, saying that it did look like more effort was put into it compared to your bog standard pizza place.
Agree! When I say value for money..some pizza slices in Dublin are €8 and half the size of this😅 thanks for the comment!
@@Paul_IsItWorthIt Jesus, i take what i said back then 5euro sounds like a steal ! You can buy a whole large pizza down my way for like 12.
If you’re reviewing pizza outside eat the fing thing, then review it, then talk sh*te. Pizza loses heat like fu*k when out in the open which very quickly effects the quality.
Yeah and stop eating food on bins
Fair point sir, will take this on board! 😅🍕
My honest review: eating not pizza off a bin in a dingy alleyway as the 3rd world pass by... nobody will visit after seeing that, and they'd be right, state of the place these days.
Will you ever turn your internet off and go out for a walk 😂 absolute pessimist. Some of us don’t live in your dark crappy worldview.
