I think ISFPs struggle to understand others motives until they get enough experience under their belt. After that they see straight through. I think I am an ISFP .
I know an ISFP who does all of the stereotypical stuff. He's a huge stoner and archetypical "dude" who is going to college to become a nurse and is a heavyweight wrestler. He's quite the character, that's for sure.
Sorry to hear that, life is messy I guess, hope you can get through it and find a way or people that can help you process that. But wherever life gets you, I hope things get better, if not externally, at least internally.
I just realized, even though the ISFP is being portrayed in a way that people might take is stupid, he immediately nailed the purpose of the 16 Personalities in a Nutshell project, that only the INFJ partially figures out later. No one else hit it on the head that quickly and accurately, when you watch the whole series.

People think its just expressing yourself or being perceptive, but it also lets us watch someone and then just steal their skills. You've never seen more anger than an expert doing something and then us doing it perfectly while using ni to figure out how it works and creating a bizarre rule system that let's us start doing other things related to the skill.

Indeed, I really like the way they dig incredibly deep into their interests and into the way things work. He’s basically my encyclopedia, and in return I help him with working through stuff he either represses or unleashes unhealthily. The Se really helps with just chilling together or bonding through activities. The Ni...is exactly like you said haha I agree with you on all points!
As an INTJ, i see isfp exactly like this not because of being a stoner but rather being like eren yeager himself. Freedom of movement which is contrast to infp freedom of speech

Why are u talking like tht lol I feel like isfp are more serious about their beliefs than a surfer dude can convey. The only time I talk like this is when I’m deliberately trying to come across as approachable or funny. Is tht just me? -isfp person. I think Ni is why I thought I was a Ti type and why I’m attracted to Ti types. Despite not having it in my function stack. As a 22 year old isfp I hate coming to terms with the hard truth that I have to learn financial literacy and work jobs with dumb people and do things I don’t wanna do. But without it I can’t support a future family and have kids and build good relationships/ nurturing relationships. It’s extremely crushing after all adolescence just thinking I wanted to be a homeless gypsy, make art and hitchhike and travel the world. Now I’m in college and constantly thinking about the financial realm. It’s a crushing reality to bear when you have no idea what you’re doing and moving towards 30. And truly at the end of the day I actually do believe love passion and relationships are what matters because even famous people can be miserable. Millionaires can be miserable. I’m just not clueless about the importance of money anymore. I feel like each isfp has a mini entj in them
If you're Ti usually u would absorb into something you do to much that you don't aware of surrounding and just realized it 10 minutes later, if you are Fi you would have a strong opinions about something that you do is in line with what you had in mind, if people do whether it would collide with you you would pretty chill with it but you still stand on you opinion, you would lash out only if only people being pushy to make you agree with them
