  • The interest in reasonable representation and 3D models is growing day after day. As a result, different software and tools are popping into the market to meet all these needs. These tools, known as render engines, help create realistic representations and 3D models by allowing designers and experts to add surfaces, volumes, lighting, and materials to models and plans. Some of the famous render engines that have widely affected the industry are Octane and Redshift render engines. Indeed they are both useful and powerful, but each one of them has specific different features. In this article, we will make a comparison between them to help you pick the best one for you.

8:54 you say Redshift has "tons of settings, check boxes and dials you have to tune JUST RIGHT" then you say that's why Redshift is the easiest to learn and use... does this make any flippin sense??

So according to this comment section and in my opinion redshift is better and also the video.
    It is fast
    It is reliable
personally I think it is very easy to use. It's similar to the c4d interface.
But whatever you chose they both are good
    Get redshift lol.

Octane is really easy to use and the lightning is beautiful, last versions for Cinema4D are pretty stable, at least for me. I love how fast Redshift has been growing and growing, time will tell if I swap to redshift or not. For now, I love Octane very much!

I have both redshift is really fast but I love octane more you can achieve amazing result if you learn it properly

Redshift is $500 USD, while Octane is 699 EURO which is ~$820 USD.
