Adrianazavelea, great comment, I agree ,kindness is very rare these days ,esp when it comes to animals. The majority of people call themselves animal lovers but at the same time have no problem paying someone to abuse and murder innocent animals on their behalf so they can eat them.
@@xxxx-qo9dh is it kind to kill and eat animals that don't want to die when one could easily choose something else to eat ? Most humans choose not to be kind to other sentient beings, they prefer to think only about themselves and think it is OK to take someone's life for a sandwich. Are you vegan, if not, who is the victim of your choice, a chicken,a pig ,a cow,a fish, maybe a lamb ?
Oh stop being so dramatic with that over the top "kindness is so rare these days" comment Besides it's factually wrong. Majority people in the world are decent human beings.
Poor baby never knew the comforts of a warm, cozy home with soft beds and floors with loads of food and sweet voices. He's saying, "I ain't ever going out there again".
Those cheeks are the cheeks of a feral tom cat. Not sure if you got him neutered after or if he already was when you got him, but from what I've seen feral (intact) males get this big cheeks from hormones, I think. Either way he is just such a sweetheart, I'm glad you saved him.
Ricky is a very cute boy, proving how true love can change a cat`s world. After too many battles for food and life, most former stray and feral cats who learned to trust humans never want to go back outside. They often are the sweetest lovebugs, and they stay with you in deep love even when all other humans abandon you. Makes me remember my feral mom Maya with her 2 kittens, after learning about the comfort of being a house cat, she never wanted to change her life again and was very happy inside. Her kittens learned about the inside life when they were 4 weeks old and never showed interest for the outside life.
Great story, glad he found a home. Those big cheeks. I took in a stray pregnant female years ago and she didn't like being picked up either. She did like belly rubs and loved being brushed. I still have one of her kittens, he's going on 15.
He's a beautiful cat....thank you for caring and inviting him to share your home....he obviously feels happy and secure with you, and his little worried look has gone....what more could you ask for. 🙏🐈🐱💕👍
“People may surprise you with unexpected kindness. Dogs have a depth of loyalty that often we seem unworthy of. But the love of a cat is a blessing, a privilege in this world.” - Kinky Friedman
💗X🥰O💗HE is just gorgeous! And ohhh... those exquisite green eyes! He's like a big "Teddy Bear" of a kitty. Such a love.💗 God bless his rescuers for giving him the forever home he deserves... a home where he'll have a full belly each day & a soft warm place to lay his dear head... where he'll be safe & will at last have some peace in a home where he will forever be so very loved.💗X🥰O💗X🥰O💗X🥰O💗
Omg, I was honestly crying when Ricky started to purr and show his tummy. Thank you so much for showing him love and I am so extremely happy he gets to finally just be a cat and not think about food and shelter. Please if his new owner is reading this, give him treats and pets from me!!
Aww. Can’t help but just feel so happy for Kitty and his family. He must have been so lonely. Thank goodness he found a good home and family. Love is everything ❤️🐈⬛🐈⬛❤️
The cat distribution system worked out well; Ricky is a gorgeous boy! 🥰 Thanks for giving him a loving home. My Son rescued a cat who was living outside and after she passed the vet's exams with flying colours and nobody claimed her, my Son who originally found her, took her home and she's been a spoiled lady for 2 years now and is safe for the rest of her life.
What a beautiful, handsome chonk head. His purr is so lovely. I love this story. You guys did a great job letting him adapt. And he did so well too. How sweet and heart touching ❤️😻😇
Awesome story and great job taking care of that guy. I do believe he was someone’s cat before and when he allows you to rub his belly then his trust in you is 100%. His belly is their most vulnerable spot so him allowing you clearance is HUGE!!
What a Very Happy story for this Sweet Cat. So great that you came to his rescue. You have shown him what true love and compassion are all about. Thank you for getting this cat the medical care that he needed and the patience that was needed for him to earn yout trust.
It's surprising how adoptable even elderly cats that have lived feral all their lives can be. They appreciate the comforts of a home all the more, and settle down quickly - and they so deserve those various home comforts. People just have to open their hearts and have faith - cats are amazing spirits, with a powerful capacity for loving humans.
Great job saving him! Many vets and animal behaviorists say once a kitten goes past 12 weeks or so without human contact, they can't be socialized with people. That's not true. It takes patience (like yours) and you must let it unfold on their schedule. Hoping you enjoy many happy years together!
Thank you for your patience and compassion. He's a beautiful boy. Every living thing responds to love and care. So sad what he went thur , now he has life he deserves.
ricky!!❤ he's trusting you big time letting him rub his tummy. I love him. I have a similar cat she was feral about 1 year and came with 3 kittens.😮 I homed the kittens and had her fixed and put her up for adoption. Having many rescue pets I can say she is the most greatful creature I ever had I ended keeping her.......its 13 years later.......tiny little brown tabby
As someone else here said exposing his belly to you is the ultimate sign of trust, especially given his background, that is their most vulnerable part. To not only show you his belly but to also let you pet it shows how much he feels safe and loved. I have 2 rescues, my 16 year old boy loves to lay on his back and get belly rubs. He was found on the streets at about 6 weeks old, probably abandoned soon after being weaned. My around 10 year old girl (we have no idea really) doesn't expose her belly but loves belly rubs. I found her living on the streets in Florida when she was around 6 while on a ladies weekend and brought her home to Massachusetts. Both my babies chose me and I can't imagine my life without them. Please always adopt, there are so many cats and dogs in shelters that need homes and don't shy away from older animals. We may not have as long with them but the love we give each other is priceless.
Thank you for giving that beautiful cat a second chance at life
He knew a good thing when he had it 🥰
Oh my goodness he's so gorgeous! 🤗❤
He's a happy grey tabby now!!
He finally felt like he could trust someone. I think he was with other people and they abandoned him. This is why he hissed at the woman.
He was meant to be yours ! Kindness is soooo rare these days ! Thank you for saving this beautiful creature !!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Kindness is really not rare Adriana, there are so many people who are kind and loving, the problem is that we only hear about the most awful humans ❤

I think you are human angels with a golden heart that's why he turned from feral into a cuddly boy❤
He's so happy that he doesn't have to be on guard all the time or worry about where his next meal is. Thank you for giving him the life he deserves.
Awe, he’s so happy now. Bless you for rescuing him. ❤❤❤
