    Love this set, Bought the plans and made my own (few mistakes but that's on me and my nerves), turned out great, so much so that one of my Neighbours immediately asked me to make them a set for their kids wedding present (they live out rural WA), now I'm really nervous!!!!

      Thanks. Slow and steady improvements. Started recording with my phone, worked my way up from there.

    I really like that you applied the wood conditioner to the bench before you stained it. Few people do this but it makes the whole project look so much nicer and more professional. Blotchy pine sucks.

    • @731Woodworks
      @731Woodworks  5 лет назад +1

      I believe in that conditioner. It works great!

    I love the Tooth & Nail t-shirt. I grew up on all those bands. The build is awesome. I need to start filming also. It is hard to find the right tv personality...

    I got my table done and starting on the benches today. Watched your review vid of the Homeright sprayer and I ordered one. It came in yesterday can’t wait to use it on these builds. Once again, thanks for all the helpful tips for us woodworking beginners.

    • @731Woodworks
      @731Woodworks  6 лет назад +2

      Awesome! That’s great to hear! Let me know what you think about the sprayer. It cleans up easy if you are using water based paints and finishes. I haven’t used any oil based products in it.

    • @stonecrazy3
      @stonecrazy3 6 лет назад +2

      731 Woodworks I also got the easy clean kit for a few bucks more. But my plans as of now are to use just water based products.

    Matt great job. Have a tip for you. Kreg makes there HD jig. It works great for big timbers like 4x4s. It's designed for 1 1/2 inch thick wood and bigger. It's a lot stronger than the regular kreg screws. It is $60 bit trust me me it's worth the investment. Great job beautiful job

    Awesome job! Just found you on here and appreciate the explaining you do when you’re doing it! Great videos. Question, how long do you let your stain sit before wiping the excess? Definitely gained a subscriber!

    • @731Woodworks

      Thank you! I typically let it sit no more than a minute or two. A little longer if I want it a little darker.

    What was the length of the stretchers and angle of cut please? Sure enjoyed your details.

    • @731Woodworks
      @731Woodworks  3 года назад

      Stretchers are 41" long. The angles, I don't know what angle they are. I held them in place, marked it then cut.

      731 Woodworks got it all done. But I don’t under stand how to make those slots for the tabletop fasteners. I do have a Ryobi Fixed Base Trim Router. Will that work if I have the correct bit? Not sure what but I would need to make that style of a cut

    • @731Woodworks
      @731Woodworks  4 года назад +1

      @@joonyaboy 1/8" straight bit is what I use to make the cuts. A fixed base will work. Mine is a fixed base. Just need an edge guide so you know how far down to put the cuts consistently.
