Do you have a store or is it all sold online?

@@731Woodworks would you mind doing a video on how you market? I’m lost when it comes to this.
I am so glad I found your channel! I support the same groups you do and I am going to get into the wood crafts. Right now I'm adding onto the cabin I built then I'm going to get into the wood crafts. I have most all the tools already and a lot of experience with them.
Thanks for having a great attitude, channel and a Christian too!
I’m a professional wood worker that watches woodworking videos in my free time. I love what you are doing man! I love where God has taken your calling and passion, and gave you this awesome successful RUclips channel. Keep it up!
I appreciate the kind words. What types of projects do you build?
Excellent comment friend!!..... :))
@@731Woodworks it is on Facebook. His woodworking projects are very nice.
I thank god for RUclips!!!!!
Or has RUclips and social media become the modern preacher??🤷♂️🤷♂️
Just all get back to reality and look at reality,,, oh dear I’m saying all this whilst doing the same as you are!!!!
Lol let’s all embrace the world and simply open our minds to it xxx
loving this guys channel!!!!
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". You have helped teach me about products and techniques that have allowed me to restart my woodworking business. After 30 years of construction I now have a business that I enjoy and can pass along to my grandchildren. Thank you for your faith and knowledge.
God bless.
Glad to help
Hey man Army vet here. but I actually got into wood work after getting a peloton and wanting to find a cycling shoes hanger. They are very expensive, I saw it and said "I can make that". At this time I didnt have any tools for cutting wood, my wife and I put some money and got the basics. I made mine and my wife put it up on Etsy and up to now we've sold 4. Good side project to make some side money. Also made my own floating shelves a few weeks back. Great channel man. Love the ideas and the energy!!!
that's great to hear
Proverbs 11: 24 Thank you for sharing the skills He has blessed you with.. Maranatha!

I can’t tell you how appreciative I am that you’re giving us this knowledge. It’s incredibly generous of you.
As law enforcement, and a novice maker myself, I really appreciate your videos. I'm so happy that I just stumbled across your channel. Everything is so concise, positive, and easy to follow. Thank you so much for what you do. You're a beautiful human. I'll be knocking the dust off of my shop tomorrow. I really need a new coffee table.
Awesome. Thank you for your service
I have been building trains for 40 yrs, now I think I will start a wood working shop. Thank you 😊
I’m retired police and prior military. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, and praise the Lord.
Love your projects. But more important, I’m glad that you are not apologizing for what you believe in!

I am a retired pastor. I have looked forward to using my shop to make some money making and sell things, but didn't know how to start. Thank you for helping people like me get started. I just ordered your chairs and bench plans. Can't wait to get started. God bless you!
I am going to try to make some of these. I got hurt at work and pretty much forced onto disability. I need to supplement my income badly as well as find something positive to do with all the free time I have now. While initially I was going to do pallet furniture because I live beside a carpet store that throws away pallets every day and will let me have them. I found most of the pallets have busted, cracked or broken pieces. I want to say “Thank you” for sharing your wisdom with a beginner. You must be a genuinely good man. Most people are so greedy that they wouldn’t risk losing $0.01 to help their fellow man. God bless you.
You're welcome!
Hey my Brother,
First, great video with excellent explanations. Second, proud of you sharing your faith!!!
Also, thanks for your shout out to the military, police, and firefighters! I retired from the U.S. Army after 25 yrs and now share Jesus with Soldiers in Basic Training each week. Blessing to you & your family from SW Oklahoma.
That's amazing! Thank you for your service and most importantly sharing Jesus!
In this world where it seems some people are terrified to speak up, you have courage and feel able to share your opinion. I respect that a lot!
Thank you
This guy is great! A true American Christian, glad I found his videos, thanks 731 woodworks
Thank you
Sandy's husband here - I'm just getting started as a woodworker and have made two of your original design mallets. Gave the first one made from purple heart and white oak to a friend who's been woodworking for decades. He has never owned a wooden mallet until now. Second mallet I'm keeping for my own use. I enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot from your posts. Thank you and keep posting please!

I’m about to launch my own woodworking business after having lost ,my job. I built a 24’x32’ metal building shop. Bought some vintage tools, 18” planner, table saw, bandsaw, drill press, that I’m refurbishing. I’ll update as I go. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks brother. As a U.S. Veteran of the military. Woodworking saved my life. Woodworking kept me busy and stopped a lot of boredom when I ETS from the military. Your videos inspire me to try new things. Thanks much for your detailed and humorous videos. Love, peace and blessings bro!!!!

@@731Woodworks you are welcome brother thanks again!!
thank you young man . as a nam era navy vet and a retired corrections officer i thank you for your kind heads up .
Army brat, for life! Thank you Dad for your service. RIP

Based on your content and statements, I had assumed that were a veteran. Thank you for supporting everyone who writes a check to our beautiful nation with an amount of "up to and including my life".
They deserve our support!
You use your gifts to serve others! Keep working brother!
Tip: the RV industry re: those stove tops. The industry doesn't have the edges on the plastic or plastic countertop material that keep stuff from sliding around. Also, any small portable shelf or well made step stool comes in handy to, everyone uses something that isn't near as nice as good woodworking unless they make it themselves. I'm camping out in my truck camper for a few months at a job, and I'm discovering new needs for coat hanging pegs on backing boards, shelves, boot dryer on some swing out hinges across from a heater vent, etc. Those blanket and quilt ladders sized for RV's would probably also be popular. The rv industry supply chain is toast, and their consumer accessories are / were mostly plastic junk anyway. Also, thank you for your flags and promotion of the military and law enforcement, sometimes they need to hear the positive instead of the unfairly negative too. Keep up the good work and thanks again for the videos and information!
I watch your videos and always have that "I can totally do this!" moment! I love that your videos are so easy to follow and I love that you openly support our outstanding military and first responders. Virtual fist bump right back to you!
👊🏻
My daughter and I have recently started creating things out of wood and these videos of yours have opened our eyes up to a bunch of new things to build. Thank you very much for what will be plenty of hours of precious time between us and allowing her to learn a profitable skill for when she is older :)
I love how you bring up the Jay Bates thing. How he got you into wood working. I've always been interested in wood working. And I quit drinking in October 2020 and I've been trying different projects since then that keeps me busy, but I always seem to keep an eye on wood working videos and wood burning videos so I'm always coming back to wood. I watch a lot of
John Malecki's video because he used to play for the Steelers. GO STEELERS!!!!!! And I searched something the other day and your video popped up and I've watching you as well since then. So just like Jay Bates helped you get started, you're helping me get started. Can't wait until Tuesday/Wednesday. I ordered a new more expensive wood burning tool and I order a Rotary Tool. The Rotary tool is the first tool that I'm purchasing to get started. I'm excited and can't wait to get started. I look fwd to learning and watching more of your videos! Thank you Matt!!!!
As a Vet myself (Navy Seabee Reserves 2011-2018), I appreciate the respect, but as a fellow woodworker, I truly appreciate the virtual encouragement & fist bump! Keep up the stellar work, & a virtual fist bump right back at you!
Thank you for your service 👊

“Don’t comment anything negative about the police or military” greatest words ever said on RUclips much respect keep it up 👍🏻

Amen!! I found that those, that speak ill of our police and military, are usually guilty of something, or are here illegally, and/or, up to no good! By the way, @Woodworks, awesome work! Beautiful pieces!
Thank you
Came to make this comment. I'm not even American, I'm Irish. But man I'm tired of that crap on social media, simpletons acting like police or military folk are evil.
Well done dude.
Amen again!

I subscribed to your channel because of the skill you share but I now have that much more respect for you for your inclusion of our God and your support for our service men and women! Much respect to you Sir! Keep up the awesome work! Thank you and God bless!
Thanks and welcome
With your accent, you could read the Yellow Pages and I'd still enjoy listening to you! Great ideas and some impressive-looking projects. Over here in the UK we tend to think of a flag as just a piece of cloth. But respect to you for dealing with the potential nay-sayers with your final comments. Thank you for sharing some of the ideas that have worked for you. Really appreciated.
Thank you
This is another inspirational video for new wood workers, like myself. Also, as a military and law enforcement officer I appreciate your support for what we do.
Thank you for your service
Great video! Love your channel...very inspiring. I'm a beginner but you've inspired me to move forward on some basic tools and projects. Great work! Thanks!

Very good ideas friend. Excellent.

Hey there, I’ve built projects for years but never sold them. I have all the tools as I’m a remodeler of 30yrs. and will be hanging that up soonish. I think I see my new hobby/business! Not looking to make a fortune, just stay busy. Thanks 🙏 I’ll be watching

Glad I found you brother. Carpenter and god fearing patriot I just began my own custom furniture business. Ive already made slot of these things but there's many inventory ideas I really appreciated. Thank you brother keep doing what you do we are a dying breed unfortunately
A long time ago I stopped being surprised at what a friggin nice guy u are. You deserve to be successful - Always freely sharing your knowledge and know-how and tips, staying humble and sharing in other peoples' success. Truly the way God intended us all to be. Stay blessed!
Have you ever considered selling kits for people to assemble? You could even vary the level of difficulty. It seems to me that it would simplify shipping and give people something to accomplish that gives some self satisfaction to customers (plus a bit of “teach a man how to fish” too). ... Fist bump back atcha from this 30-year Navy vet!!
That's a great idea. I would like to do that at some point. I appreciate your service!
@@731Woodworks Yeah then you can sell clamps!!! :)
@@wadeb.5509 Yes, after all your middle name is 'Clamps'!
@Capt I as someone just starting out in my woodworking business this is *exactly* what I have been focussing on for the exact same reasons you stated. Cheaper, easier shipping and also an element of fun and ownership to the customer when they put products together. It's also been a really fun challenge for me to figure out how to make kits that are as dummy proof as possible to ensure that my products turn out as I would like them to at the other end.
@@731Woodworks you can be next IKEA with way better quality 💪
Hey , I saw this video and thought, "wow, I can do this!" I am a novice woodworker. I built an Anne White farmhouse bed with the storage underneath this last summer.
I love your ideas and see where I can make some extra income with these projects. Thank you
By the way, I love your T-shirt! God Bless!!!

Hi Matt. Just wanted to share my experience with my first sale. I watched this video a while back and the same day I saw an ad for someone looking for a blanket ladder. I contacted the person in the ad and I made a deal to build one for her. An hour later she called me back with 3 more orders. I copied your ladder and they all loved them. Thanks for the video.
That is awesome. Congrats
Keep up the positive channel! You are doing a great job with your woodworking business but also having a big platform to share hope (Hebrews 6:19). You need to be proud of yourself, your work, and your example.
Thanks for that!
Good To See A Fellow Arkansan on Here. Loved the Witness in the Video. God Bless You Bro
Hello neighbor
Thank you so much Matt, I been looking for simple projects to do. I love wood working but don't have alot of time. And what you showed me I can definitely do and sell to help with my bills.

I was already a fan but after your comments about military (my boyfriend was Army) and law enforcement (I'm retired law enforcement) and being nice you have a fan for life. And you do beautiful work. God bless you and your family.

Absolutely LOVE both of the Marine flags! My son served in the Marines for 4yrs. He is presently has been serving in the Army for 3yrs .
If I made both flags & send them to him in North Carolina. It would absolutely blow his mind!
Brilliant idea! Thank you!
That would be good
Brother, you are amazing. Sharing knowledge and ideas basically free of charge is not a common gesture nowadays; may our maker shower your home with peace and happiness.
I’m so impressed with you for both your woodworking skills and your Christian values. I am working on starting a very, very small woodworking shop with absolutely no experience but you’ve definitely inspired me. Thanks for all you do. Love this channel!!!
Go for it! We all start somewhere
Hey, I was drawn to subscribe when you added Faith to the narrative! I watch way too much RUclips, so I wasn’t going to subscribe. I liked the last two videos I have seen of yours, so adding some positive spiritual spin to it drew me right in! Thank, brother! Keep it positive! I love it!
Thank you 👊🏻
Absolutely friend! You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you for praising the fact that this gentleman isn’t ashamed to publicly use the word “”faith.”” GOD bless....... :))
I’ve only recently gotten into woodworking (quarantine “free” time in the backyard while the kids play). I’ve made some shelving and a cabinet for our bathroom, along with some coffee bar decor. Thanks for the videos! And especially thanks for using your woodworking designs and RUclips presence for your faith! As a Christian myself, it’s nice to see someone who uses anchors, crosses, and verse numbers in your work! Kudos and keep strong brother!
About to semi retire (after 30 + years teaching) this really does inspire me. Also as a believer myself REALLY like the spiritual dimension and positivity!
Great content and insights, greatly appreciated!! Your way of giving back by sharing your success is a valuable contribution in many ways. I like your presentation style. Keep up the good work!!
Glad it was helpful!

I’ve been playing around with things to make, i have my own sawmill to cut my own lumber and im going to try a few of these, thanks for sharing, and very inspiring.
You’re welcome
That's kind of my work, it's really artisan at that point. I stand around looking at a piece of wood like hmmm, I wonder what I could make out of this. Only enough to make one. Lol
Man your videos are THE BEST on the net. Besides being a 22 year Police Veteran and a Marine Corps Veteran, Im a hobby woodworker. I’ve watched so many of your videos and learned so much from them. Keep the content flowing!!
Ang ganda ng Videos na ito maraming tips matutunan ko
I would love to make the flag with the Marine symbol. My boys served and my youngest daughter wants to. Right now I am starting with signs to sell!!!
👊🏻
I've been wood working for about 20 years ( 18 or so as my full time work), It's good to see people such as yourself encouraging others to make the transition from hobby to business. You've also got me thinking about the flags but where I live (Barbados) doesn't have a flag as sparkly as yours in the US so it may not look sharp. It does have Aqaman's trident on it tho so we'll see, lol.
go for it
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for wood working projects. Especially if you have the skill or tools to put out a good quality product. But the cost of wood right now? How can you even do these projects at a price range that would make them affordable? Take the little shoe bench for example. A 2X6 is over $15 and in some cases over $20 (and you would need two). A 1x4 is over $6. And these are unfinished. The supports will need to be 2X4 so that's another $9. So you already have at least $45 in lumber. And that is not even taking into account, sandpaper, wood screws, stain, or paint. This is easily a $60 project and that is without labor considerations. Assuming an hour construction and sanding. Plus and hour for painting or staining and anything other than selling it for $90 means you are under selling your labor and still not able to match a price on Amazon for similar products.
On a side note, if your client has large feet, over 12 inches, you are going to have to create a bench wide enough to compensate for the extra long shoes. So that is another 2X6 and another 1X4 which puts your materials in the $75 range. Now mind you, your client probably isn't going to find a similarly long product on Amazon, so you can make a profit on this niche market. You could probably sale a finished product for $150 and clear quite a bit. But I should point out this bench is going to be heavy and how many people would you know that are such large footed and want want of these benches?
If wood prices would drop down to what they were 2 years ago. I'd say go for it. You could sale them for $90 each and have still made a reasonable profit. But right now. I just don't see it. Not with wood prices where they are at.
You are like the master turd polisher, making awesome projects from crappy framing lumber that people are happy to pay money for. You clearly have skills but you have knack for figuring out what products people want. Well Done!
Thank you
When I started look for wood working videos I found a ton, but at the end of ur videos or somewhere in it you always seem to give a Bible verse. I don't do the subscription thing but that one element convinced me to subscribe to your channel. Thanks.for what you do. Thanks for standing on your principles. Thanks for supporting Law enforcement and the military. Keep it up ! God bless you and Mrs. 731 !
This lit a fire in me that I never knew existed. Thank you
Awesome
Thank you for the information and love how you included Bible verses. That’s an awesome shirt!
Thank you
I started woodworking when I retired two years ago making Adirondack chairs, benches, birdhouses etc. just like you do. the only difference is I make everything out of salvaged wood i find, (side of the road, dumps etc.) It makes it so much more of a challenge working around the imperfections and flaws of the wood and is very rewarding and when I tack the word "rustic" onto the ad people grab them right up! I'm looking forward to getting some of the plans. thank you for your videos.
I absolutely adore your attitude. Bravo. Former scout leader... nothin’ beats, God, Family, & Country. Followed Flag etiquette for years and you have nothing to apologize for. Mom of an Afghanistan Vet, niece of a Police Officer, and friends with the Sheriff’s Office... they deserve our praise and thanks. Love ALL the Flags... a great statement. 👍🇺🇸🇨🇱
Thank you
I've been investing in all the tools needed as I rather start when fully equipped for success. As each investment I make in tool is a sucess imo! I start building next week! I'll send you pictures! Thanks for the encouragement and knowledge!

Being a police officer in the UK, this is good to hear. Thank you.
you should totally make a designer "Tuba Four" sign! plus i managed to find it on urban dictionary , keep up the good videos!
lol would be awesome
I enjoyed that part of the video too. I can already see Tuba Four 731 hoodies and vinyl window stickers for rear window minivan . . .I called my minivan a mom truck and a butt wagon. I haven't had a minivan for a long, long time. I'll have to get another mom truck if I learn how to make all of these woodshop projects. Buying a bench from his store might be a little more affordable though.
Fyi: you can find the led strips with remotes at Walmart (in the electronics section) for $8.
I've used a dozen in various projects.
nice
Can you post a link for the led strip lights please?
@@stephendylla5715 it’s in the description of the video
Do the led strips hold up pretty well? Also you mentioned a remote. I assume this isn’t the strips that you can cut and use for several different projects, correct? Thank you friend!!.... :))
They've held up great. I haven't had one fail yet.
You can cut them shorter, but to use in many projects would require additional power connectors and adapters, which would cost about the same as a new strip.
I found your videos one day and immediately subscribed. Primarily your testimony. Then you make your videos personal and easy to follow. Plus you give great helpful hints.
I’m glad you put the disclaimer about being a Razorback fan. (LOL) Go Roll-tide
Keep up the good work and Keep the Faith .
I'm 14 and into Woodworking.
when making table tops out of 1x6, im having an issue keeping the top surface flush. it seems like the pocket joints like to pull it up a bit leaving a seam. how do you keep that from happening?
Face clamp helps some. Making sure the edges of each board is square is key
Now you’re talking my language... Cricut 😂 I kept thinking I could make a stencil with my cricut and it won’t bleed
👍🏻
Love your work. Thanks for sharing and giving more projects to do.
I made 2 of your small benches this week and put them on my pick up truck to take them to my house to make excellent photos to enable me to sell them here in Thailand. By the time i walked back to my truck after locking my workshop up a lady said you make lovely things ,my friend told me. Can i buy these 2 benches please. sold. I opened my workshop up again and made a pot of tea. Us British must stop for tea. It was 4 pm. Thank you. I sold them 2000 baht each. YOU are a great help to me. r.h.
Awesome
I'm still struggling to find tubatwelves that don't resemble slop troughs. My first desk came out looking like a crayon drawing by a six year old. Mr. Murphy has always been a close companion of mine, but he and his law were working overtime on that one. All I can say about it is that it works. Like an old moped it'll get you there, but you wouldn't want your friends seeing you on one.
lol that's funny
Your better off either cutting the 2*12 into strip and then gluing them back together, wood is a natural product and dressed lumber is never really flat. You can flatten em with a plane. Router sled or planer
I find it easiest to cut strips to What I want the final thickness to be or just a bit more then rotate em 90degrees and glue em together so that the cut edges endup making up both faces. Unless your fence drifts the cut edges should be pretty even. Might not always get true flat but it will be close enough.
When you say that you sell your stuff locally, could you give some examples of where you're selling? Facebook Marketplace, etc. Thanks!
I made a video about that here: ruclips.net/video/DCyBplfL2dU/видео.html
