French Pharmacy Haul!! What to Buy When You're Sick in France
I've been sick for the past week and am highlyyy over it - sore throat, body aches, fever...the works! Which is why today Im sharing with you what to buy at a french pharmacy when you're sick - because being sick is not fun ... especially when you're in a new country and have no idea what to buy to get better. I'll also be sharing a few natural remedies, bring you around town as I pick up my feel better products, make a quick stop at a french doctor's office, and also talk about the differences between healthcare in France and the U.S.
Please note: I am by no means a medical professional, so please take this advice with a grain of salt - but if you feel anything like how I feel right now, I hope you get well soon! x

Hey guys! I’m Tiff - a lover of food, travel, and good vibes. After traveling to Italy when I was 16, I made a promise to myself that I would live abroad before I was 30. And I made it happen! In 2017, I tapped out of my PRgirl lifestyle to pursue an MBA in Paris. Yes, Paris! The timing was all too perfect. Jumping out of my comfort zone and moving to Paris, was the scariest thing that I’ve done in life thus far, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This channel is my outlet for sharing more about my life abroad and the life lessons learned along the way.
This video is all about being sick in france, french pharmacy haul, what to get at a french pharmacy, being sick abroad, what to buy sick in france, what to buy at a french pharmacie, what to buy when you're sick in france, what to buy when you're sick in paris, natural remedies france, getting a cold in france, french pharmacy when you're sick, flu in france, i have the flu in france, i'm sick in france, french healthcare system, what to buy when you're sick paris, natural remedies france, natural remedies paris, tiffanie davis, itstiffaniedavis😓

I'm retired from the USAF and everytime I traveled to a new area I get sick when I enter or as soon as I leave, with some type of flu. Take vitamins and vitamin C to boost immune system.

I also do the lemon, honey, giner and turmeric tea. I chop it all up and put it in a jar and put into the fridge when i need it next to boost my immune system. I also make fresh chicken broth soup with veggies and toasted bread on the side. But I also take Nyquil, it helps a lot together with aspirin.

In Europe, we call acetaminophen "paracétamol". So Doliprane is more or less like Tylenol

Just one thing, if you go to GP and pays 25 euros, the state will pay you back 16,50 euros (70 % of the price) and the "mutuelle" will pay you back the rest -1 euro. The fee is actually 1 euro.

I lived in London where free healthcare is also available to everyone, and never understood the idea of why most Americans believe we are such a powerful countries when the average Joe can’t afford healthcare

Interesting. For some reason I thought the French operated like the UK (maybe because Canada does, don't know 😅). But with the NHS you don't pay to see the GP/doctor however if you work, you do pay for the prescription. For example I'm on 2 different meds here but I get 2 months worth in one go as it's easier for me. But I don't get charged for 4 items I get charged for 2 different prescribed medications which comes to under £19. My mum who is in her 70s gets all her meds for free including hearing and eye tests. She can also get the glasses for free if it's under a certain price which I think is £100 or £125. Although where we live she does have to pay for the gym albeit super discounted

I always seem to get sick in a foreign country but never at home in australia( haven’t been sick since 2016) I put it sown to the water because I just drink tap water even though it’s so cheap to buy water (90 euro cents for a litre as opposed to $3 here ) but it’s in the coffee the beer the food so that’s my perspective because I’m super clean always sanitising my hands way before the Covid that’s all i put it down to
