Wow, I like the way she broke the tricks down to the simplest elements & showed you how to progress through a trick without being overwhelmed. Great instructor!
One day I had a job interview to work in a "cocktail bar" which was my dream, and during the interview the boss told me that it's a true cocktail bar and that I'm gonna have lots of fun working there, and overall it will be a great experience for me. Your videos inspired me so much to become a better bartender and try to look cool for customers. The boss told me I should come to the bar about one of two hours before my shift so I get used to it before the rush begins, which sounded fair to me because the bar I was working in before was much different and pretty much everything was automated with buttons that control every dosage etc... So the day of my shift I arrive 2 hours early, and when I get behind the bar, the boss (not the same one I saw at the interview) was very cold. I asked tons of questions on the bar to see how it worked, where all the bottles are, she answered with very short sentences and sounded annoyed to answer my questions. She didn't allow me to serve any customers before my shift started so I stayed behind the bar doing nothing but reading the menu and looking at where the stuff is, but without doing any drinks it was impossible to memorise the menu. The behaviour of the boss put me in a very awkward mood and I didn't feel welcome at all, I already wanted to leave and go back home, felt like I had nothing to do here Finally my shift begins and I can start serving customers, that's where the true nightmare began, because as I started working and making a few mistakes (I remind that my previous bar was something completely different, cocktails were made with premixed bottles and a machine poured all the alcohols and softs automatically) the boss turned out to be a huge b*tch... She yelled at me for a a few drops of beer that spilled for the glass, she said I was too slow making cocktails, that I don't know how to do anything. Even worse, I wasn't allowed to ask my coworkers for help, I had to do it secretly when she went smoking outside, that's insane. I kept working, I was doing better at some point, the music was loud, the customers and my coworkers were dancing except for the boss who was cold and looked annoyed. Overall I was sort of having fun, I especially remember dancing with a drunk girl who ordered drinks from me, was pretty funny and that's the best thing I remember from this shift. Too bad the boss was such an a**hole. At the end of my shift she said that the next day the bar would be twice as crouded and that I need to be much faster then. I still had my other job in the other bar, so the next day I called and said I'm not coming back for an other shift. Later I talked with a bartender of my favourite bar in town, I mentionned my trial shift in that bar, and the guy said he know them and they're a**hole and they also don't pay correctly and all so I did well by not coming back after all! Where I live at least, I don't think the kind of bar you guys depict exist, not everyone can have fun behind the bar unfortunately, and most bosses here aren't good :/ I'll keep looking up to your videos and your advices, hoping to find a bar where I can express myself and work in a way that can make myself feel accomplished.
This is so helpful I’m studying basic mixology and learning simple tricks to help me get a bartending job and I have small hands so some of these I can try and do I might actually be able to do them! 💛💛💛
Not all country's liquor regulations allow using direct bottles for pours so it'd be helpful to show more of bottle, jigger and shaker routine. Love the video❤️
Puneeth Nukala in Australia its illegal to not use a jigger to measure alcohol. I believe the only exception is when pouring into a shaker, which doesn’t make sense. You just cannot pour into a glass. The idea is to prevent over-serving alcohol and getting people intoxicated... but realistically it makes no difference. Australia has some seriously fucking dumb laws.
@@punee673 Some countries have laws that insist that everybody gets an equal pour. If a bar were to consistently pour 9/10 of a shot every time and charge as much for a full one, they're ripping off every customer.
I’m trying to learn to make some drinks and some bartending fun tricks and tips during this “stay at home” time. Just for fun use at home for me! Thanks for the video; both of you have fun and appealing personalities!
I got to tell you she’s really good at that but I can barely use RUclips I’m 57 years old. I don’t know how to use Instagram and that I can barely use RUclips and not mess it up but yeah I enjoy watching her if she wants to watch. Thank you for having her on your show.
Good on a ya Vlad for supporting her in getting her channel going and good on you IMTERRIBEE for sharing some great tips. Wish you both heaps of success.
Me : watches her catching the bottle behind her back . Automatically tries it with phone😂drops deh phone on the ground!😲yeaaaaah i shouldnt have done that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🔥
And also practice your skills to entertain on a slow night so you can get your own style and entertain on busy sat and friday nights. But practice on slow nights in front of regular customers so you practice in front of a audience kinda at the same time took me 2 years to get good at the entertainment part of it
As much I enjoyed listening and watching to terri; this wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I'm trying to get the knowledge to pass the bartender exam for instawork.
