Your adulthood will be fine exactly because of what you mentioned. The struggles, sacrifices and experiences during your teenage years have shown you what life is, and how to overcome hard times so now that you know -then keep facing life with a positive open mind, keep working hard, persevere in all that you do. Don't look back until you are done with every goal you have set for yourself and when you do - just enjoy the rewards. And if the going gets too tough - pray.
Reach out, you don't have to do things alone.

I’ve been through some of the same struggles that you have, Kryztal. My family has been a great source of strength and of weakness in my life.
Don’t ever forget that your dreams are worth the struggle. That what you’re chasing is out there for you to take. Thank you for sharing your story, and one day I’ll post a video of my experiences growing up Mexican in the fruit bowl of California.

Hey there! I’m a UIC alum also from Chicago and hearing your story it resembles much what I went thru in undergrad at UIC...believe me it’s a struggle but if medicine is your calling don’t underestimate yourself!! It is a hard path when you’re trying to carry the weight of undergrad but it’s definitely doable! I’m starting med school this summer after the many years of work so do what you need to do to make that application be golden! You got this! 🤗

This is really cool. Really proud of you. I'm sending you and your family lots of love and prayers that you are all safe and healthy. Your family has always been there for me, especially your dad. I've seen the struggles your parents had gone through when were all growing up as teenagers. And yet despite all their adversities they were able to raise some pretty cool and amazing kids. Continue to stay strong and focused with your goals. I miss all of you and I pray that we can all get through these crazy times we are living in right now.
