    Great video, very inspiring. I am currently in the same boat with a low GPA and I just got my second MCAT score back and it is still bad. Will probably go and get my masters in a postbacc program when I graduate. Thank you for making this video, it helped me mentally to know that I am not the only one struggling.

    This whole video was so cryptic.
    What was your GPA from undergrad? What was the Masters GPA? Cumulative GPA? What was your "good MCAT score"? It is not very helpful if your story is not relatable. I am not hating, and you do not have to share anything, obviously. I am just sharing what I was hoping to see in this video.

    Super encouraging video. I would love to know what program you took. I also have a not so good undergrad GPA but am currently getting my masters in public health. I am applying for this cycle and taking my MCAT July 29, so far the scores aren't looking too hot (highest score is a 494) but I am going to keep trying. If I don't get in this cycle then I will probably do a postbac program that focuses on improving studying skills and taking the MCAT or I might pay for a MCAT course (sure that would be cheaper than a post bac program).

    Been watching your content for 2+ years since I decided to be a doctor, and submitted my primary application for medical school :)
    I was really wanting to ask about acceptance with a low GPA, specifically if I should be worried? Got a 3.18 cc GPA and a 3.4 science GPA after a 3.95 post bac with a strong upward GPA. Freshman and sophomore GPA were really bad, but got a 3.89 GPA from my university after transferring. Got a 507 MCAT second attempt with a low CARS.
    Realistically, should I be worried about not having a shot at an allopathic medical school? Sorry for the load of information, and congrats on all your successes. Your content is inspiring a lot of people

    I am a double major in Business and Psychology with a concentration in Econ and Marketing. I always enjoyed business it makes me think, and it opens you opportunities in plenty of different careers, but it is not something that fills my soul. I’ve really enjoyed psychology so far because it really allows you to understand yourself and other people, and just gives you insight on why we are how we are. I am graduating in 2025 and want to try to pursue medical school to become a psychiatrist. However, with both my degrees I won’t meet the prereqs for medical school, and I cannot fit them within the 2 yrs I have left of my undergrad. I hope to bump my GPA to a 3.5 atleast. I guess my question is if I could get an associates degree in Biology to meet the prereqs. A requirement for medschool besides the prereqs is a bachelors degree, which I would have, but I don’t know if the associates would meet the prerequisites, what advice do you all have?

    • @reuben799
      @reuben799  10 месяцев назад +1

      As you’ve correctly stated you will need to meet the prerequisites to apply to med school. An associates may fulfill that but you just have to do a deep dive to make sure whatever program you’re looking at will do. You can also look at some post baccalaureate programs designed for those that want to get into med school. However just taking classes at your local community college will also work.

Here go, I'm an international student, and I am like scare because in the place I live is like no require be good at school unless you want to go, to havard (is what people here think), and like is all screw up my high school GPA even science I am good at my grade is c+ something like that (and is because the professor don't like to give me higher grade for some dumb reason) anyway and like I don't know what I can to do, for make this happen like good grades at college degree i think ? Anyway is pretty much that for me, and other thing I even not in college, yet I know I freak for "nothing" but have a good reason and even because just are accepted 3.8 of international student for med school.

    • @reuben799
      @reuben799  2 года назад +1

      3.3 is still good! Schools love to see an upward trend and it’s great that the trend is in your science classes. Schools also generally calculate your science GPA and tend to weigh that separately, but how much depends on the school probably. In my opinion the 3.9 science GPA looks very good and should bolster your 3.3 cumulative.
