Thank the Clerisy, you did not put spoilers into thumbnail or title. Bless you for giving Warframe so much love and appreciation for all the little unique quirks and corners it has. It's genuinely exciting to watch every minute of you going through the dreamer's journey!
Some cool things about The Second Dream; When you take on the first Sentient Battalyst, that originally used to be a lot, lot harder. It was a full on surprise boss fight as the thing would quickly gain 90% damage reduction against any damage you dealt to it. So players would often fail that part of the mission, have to redo it with more Elements modded on their weapons to keep dealing damage, and so DE eventually reduced the effective health of Battalysts (and Sentient enemies in general) to make it more fair. If you go for long enough without finding Hunhow's bones in the underwater Archwing section, Alad V gets bored and just marks them for you. I witnessed a player not realise that you can attack after the big reveal and they patiently walked their way through the rest of the mission getting shot at and attacked, but never fighting back, because they didn't read the on-screen instructions. It was originally planned for the Warframe you used for the Quest to suffer a permanent 'damage' decal from where the sword was torn out, and at the last minute DE changed their minds and instead gave players a Sigil you can put on your frame that looks like a burning scar. (This was so they could make the Quest replayable for people to check out all the details again.) And lastly, the Community in general like to keep the ending of the Quest as a spoiler because they don't want the rest of the Gaming world to know that DE literally cast all their players as whiny children ^^
Yeah, my fight against this thing (back when the quest was brand new) was won pretty much purely thanks to me using Valkyr at the time, allowing me to kill the damn thing slowly, 10 health at a time while healing myself... it was a horrifying moment to discover that my Opticor, THE oneshot machine at the time, barely scratched the damn thing
That line “cleave it, beating from its nest” will always give me chills. This quest was sooooooo awesome. I hype up all of my friends playing the game for the first time
He picked up the best School in my opinion for beginners. Energy regeneration from zenurik when you don't have anything else to regenerate energy is a game changer, you can use your abilities more often. And later you can change school because you are having other energy sources like Energize Arcane and other stuff.
No longer as fundamental since they give all new players a Dreamer's Bond aura (half a Rejuvenation, half an Energy Siphon). I mean, still wonderful, but it's no longer the only one new players should consider starting with.
@@dvdfrsr True but it is still nice to start with especially Combining it with Dreamer's bond. besides it's like weaker version of Rejuv and Engergy siphon which is fair as it gives both and isn't stuck to 1 polarity :P
I remember when i started Warframe my buddies did not spoil anything for me either. I was like, "yo wtf is that!" When my operator grabbed my frame, and my buddies muted their mics to savour it for me. Years later i was getting more friends into Warframe and did the exact same for them too. The second dream is the best kept secret in gaming imo 😂
And that's why I refer to new players as Dreamers. It doesn't really set off any alarm bells for spoilers, and Nora Nightwave uses it in game already. Congrats on waking up, and welcome to the cinematic arc of Warframe!
"Warframe is the internet's best kept secret" is something we hear around and its for a reason Not everyone knows about the game in a first place, a lot of people never reach the highs of this game, but its all a secret nonetheless! Congratulations on waking up from your second dream 🎉
As someone who's been playing since early 2014, this quest hit super hard as I had almost 1000 hours in the game at the time. Mind was absolutely blown to say the least
39:00 Story is more complicated, complex and beautiful than this "little secret". As a veteran player of Warframe, I really respect lore of the game and every player should experience in own way.
Fr i remember playing for the first time and had the same reaction, "wtf is going on" but the more you play the more it feeds and in the end your left amazed
I always thought it was neat that Hunhow describes itself as a "sentient destroyer of worlds" but what that actually means is "self-aware terraforming machine", it's just like their own internalization of what they are and what they were built for
Congrats on completing the tutorial! Now dont for a second think there arent any other mindblowing surprises to come, youre just at the tip of the iceberg now. Also the narrative goes into overdrive from this point onwards. Im hyped to watch you experience this gem going forward. And yes, the community is absolutely tight lipped about this reveal. The story and how it hits is borderline magical when it comes to videogame experiences. Its something the community collectively goes out of its way to keep hidden as not to spoil it, the most you will hear from people to draw new players in is 'the story is insane' and 'wait till you hit the second dream quest'. And it always hits people hard as the story is 'eh' at best until this point and after 50+ hours of people going 'its alright' to being walloped by this masterpiece just hits hard, we play games for experiences, the reason this community is so good is because of the immense experience this game provides, and we as gamers, want others to feel the greatness of this unique experience.
It’s so fun to see someone relive experiencing this for so long. Warframe is the internets best kept secret, community is unreal. So happy to be a vet at the game
This was THE quest that made me fall in love with Warframe. The Tenno being awaken, Lotus words and the beautiful OST... A true masterpiece. It gave me the chills watching this video.
When I first did this quest, (10 yr legend 1 now) this game had almost no plot. This quest, even now, is the only game experience that brought me to tears. Before this quest the entire game was "Space ninja go BRRRRRRR". The longer you have played this game without doing the quest, the harder the quest hits you. I had been playing for years.
If you go back, the mainline questing kinda starts with Stolen Dreams, but only via hindsight... All is silent and calm. Hushed and empty is the womb of the sky. Then The New Strange is the followup with the rogue frame killing those that had previous involvement with the arcane codeces, ending at an arcane machine with a projection of a sentient relic above it. Now with TSD, players heads to the womb of the sky to rescue themselves, while worrying about the sentients.
YEEES! I'm SO happy you enjoyed the quest!! And thank you- hearing you say what you did about the community keeping the secret of that quest so well put a big smile on my face. As a Vet, we tend to take a lot of care & pride in making sure everyone, especially new players, get the BEST experience possible out of that quest line.. and it pays off seeing the joyful, surprised expressions on peoples' faces. Hope to catch you in the Origin system sometime Tenno! Welcome, the party has JUST begun.

Yeah, one thing you have to remember is stuff like this came after we had been playing for years. If it was mind-blowing for you being 50 hours in, imagine people's world turned upside down after years of thinking something, haha. And regarding keeping the secret, yeah, this and FFXIV have some of the best communities on that regard. Amazing twists throughout both stories that are a joy to see someone else's mind also get blow when they experience them for the first time too.
Second Dream is what made me start caring about Warframe. I got bored of the gameplay loop while my friend were racking up hundreds into thousands of hours. I just couldn't get into the grind. Then they convinced me to play Second Dream, and I fell in love with it. I'm still a slacker when it comes to the grinds in the game, but I will almost always log in on patch day for whatever new story, quest or event has come out.
I really love seeing someone actually take their time and enjoy Warframe as a whole, seeing things for the first time within the game and experiencing the story and how fun you can make it.
Comming back to rewatch the second dream I realise that if you think about it, warframes plot of “children with powers controls robots to fight war” which is nothing new specially in the anime/mecha scene. But the fact that the game hides the child part until you are very deep in it is what makes it stand out from the baseline so much that is incredible
Congratulations on beating the Tutorial. Margulis was an Orokin Archimedean. Essentially a high ranking scientist. She was like a mother to the Tenno after they were recovered, but as Lotus says, the Orokin were scared of the Tenno. They wanted to kill them. Margulis stood in their way so they killed her, but they used her research to develop Transference which let the Tenno project their minds into the Warframes which could channel their abilities better with less risk. This is not spoilers, its just a recap of some of the information at the end of the quest.
I hate that this quest doesn't hit the same for newbies because they didn't have to wait YEARS for it to release, making theories and questioning what the fuck is a warframe and how does it work
So I started playing in 2015 (June 22nd a little before equinox/movement 2.0/natah quest) and after acquiring my like my 3rd frame I started have a hunch that this warframe stuff was kind of matrix-like. What I mean by that is I felt at that point like ok there’s got to be more to this than lotus just commanding me to go do this and that and I just take whatever frame and go. Like what am I? Oh could it be that someone human is controlling the frames from somewhere? Maybe I’m “jacked-in” like the matrix. Then being captured by the gustrag 3 having to use a different frame until I got that one back pretty much made me settle on that theory which made the second dream an even better experience for me bc I was surprised to find I was somewhat right in that context
Mannn, this video gave me flashbacks to yesteryear, when I barely knew how to find the modding interface 😭 Epic job dude, may your relationship with Warframe be long and fruitful.

The release of the Second Dream was so crazy for us. Before that, we played for 2 years with just tiny bits of story, and suddenly we are hit with actual clear lore, cinematics and new options. Rebbeca Ford (back then, community manager, now CEO of Warframe) said something like "Player are great at telling you that they are bored, but not why. So story progression was our idea to give them meaning in their actions." - I think that is part of the NoClip documentary, very worth watching!
God damn I got a lil choked up watching this again. I'm so fucking glad I stuck with this since closed beta, its been incredible seeing what they have accomplished.

This is genuinely one of the best moments in gaming history, I played for years before this quest came out I've played for years since and it still gives me chills and DE / Warframe Devteam still continue to impress me. But I fully agree the best thing about this is the community and the respect they have for this secret ❤️
This quest really made me sit there and admire warframe for what it is. A glorified shooter with mediocre magical abilities and boring combat, where the only exciting thing was the parkour during the first 20-30 hours, I absolutely bursted with joy when I got past that phase and went deeper into the rabbit hole that Warframe and its story is. It feels like the second dream not only heralds a new tone during the story, but also a new way of enjoying the game, because by the time you get there, you will have enough opportunities to get decent builds, so that your Frames really stand out from each other. And jesus christ, everything that comes after this is just one mind blow after the next.
I was on this game for about almost two years before this dropped. I had been doing the raids they used to have, farming all kinds of stuff, and running with my clan for hundreds of hours when this quest came out and by the end I had to get up and walk off the character creator drop.
I gotta say as someone who played Warframe for years before Destiny this has been fun. I also love hearing you mispronounce everything xD its so familiar to me its great seeing a fresh perspective. LIke many of these updates I experienced over time but watching you go through it in order really makes it feel so much more connected.
I remember playing this on the day it dropped. My God was I floored. The silly little space ninja game I had been playing for years took an amazing step forward
Cant wait to see you experience some of the even cooler moments like the war within or even some of the side quests like deadlock protocol or the new strange. Its fun to see through the eyes of a newer player getting a handle of what they dive into. Even if you only seem to use the karak (go back to deimos and get the cedo), it's interesting to see the overlap of d2 and warframe.

Thank the Clerisy, you did not put spoilers into thumbnail or title. Bless you for giving Warframe so much love and appreciation for all the little unique quirks and corners it has. It's genuinely exciting to watch every minute of you going through the dreamer's journey!
The second dream, the prologue for tutorial 1.5, it's time to wake up and realize what you are, tenno.
(This was so they could make the Quest replayable for people to check out all the details again.)
And lastly, the Community in general like to keep the ending of the Quest as a spoiler because they don't want the rest of the Gaming world to know that DE literally cast all their players as whiny children ^^
It kinda hurts me in a way to see baby Tenno clown that first battalyst, they don't know how we suffered
I hype up all of my friends playing the game for the first time
Bro I tear up every time I see this quest sequence. The Warframe carrying you and your “mother” putting you in the somatic cradle. Peak.
The reveal of why we're called "Operator" by Ordis is just absolutely unmatched
He picked up the best School in my opinion for beginners.
Energy regeneration from zenurik when you don't have anything else to regenerate energy is a game changer, you can use your abilities more often.
And later you can change school because you are having other energy sources like Energize Arcane and other stuff.
Id say it is one of the best starting still
Especially if you can't fit equilibrium everytime cuz tjat mod is just expensive for new players
I’m a Vet since 2014 and I still use it lol
No longer as fundamental since they give all new players a Dreamer's Bond aura (half a Rejuvenation, half an Energy Siphon). I mean, still wonderful, but it's no longer the only one new players should consider starting with.
@@dvdfrsr True but it is still nice to start with especially Combining it with Dreamer's bond.
besides it's like weaker version of Rejuv and Engergy siphon which is fair as it gives both and isn't stuck to 1 polarity :P
@@dwightedwards3859 i started switching to madurai for Casting speed and Ability strenght
Congrats on waking up, and welcome to the cinematic arc of Warframe!
i like how most of the Cinematic Quests Come after this one too
This Quest was a big turning point for Warframe story most people skipped over it or just didn't pay much attention but after this everything changed.
Hunhow's voice actor is so good, his performance in new war is even better
Have fun when you get there
"Warframe is the internet's best kept secret" is something we hear around and its for a reason
Not everyone knows about the game in a first place, a lot of people never reach the highs of this game, but its all a secret nonetheless!
Congratulations on waking up from your second dream 🎉
Remember we played the game for several years, before we experienced this mission,
not just 50 hrs.
Some of those years were better than others 🤔
As someone who's been playing since early 2014, this quest hit super hard as I had almost 1000 hours in the game at the time. Mind was absolutely blown to say the least
39:00 Story is more complicated, complex and beautiful than this "little secret". As a veteran player of Warframe, I really respect lore of the game and every player should experience in own way.
Fr i remember playing for the first time and had the same reaction, "wtf is going on" but the more you play the more it feeds and in the end your left amazed
No matter how many times I see the cinematic quests, they still give me goosebumps every single time.
"This Is What You Are" is such a banger.
Mactics: this game continues to blow my mind.
Me: oh sweet child, you are not prepared.
I always thought it was neat that Hunhow describes itself as a "sentient destroyer of worlds" but what that actually means is "self-aware terraforming machine", it's just like their own internalization of what they are and what they were built for
It's time to wake up.
I have been playing for a decade now and I genuinely never made the connection between Ten-Zero and Tenno holy shit
I can't wait for him to try sacrifice quest
I swear he is going to loose his mind after warframe origin
It’s so fun to see someone relive experiencing this for so long. Warframe is the internets best kept secret, community is unreal. So happy to be a vet at the game
This was THE quest that made me fall in love with Warframe. The Tenno being awaken, Lotus words and the beautiful OST... A true masterpiece. It gave me the chills watching this video.
Congratulations, you passed the tutorial. Welcome to Warframe.
The “where’s all my rumbas??” was so emotional
You only get to experience the mind blowing secrets once. This is why I love telling people about Warframe. To see their genuine, unspoiled reactions.
Loved seeing you go through this! Get ready for a WILD ride from here on out, the story quests get even crazier from here.
I promise you this is where the warframe gets jaw dropping. Nothing but peak from here on out.
I can't explain why, but I teared up with how you talked about the Warframe community. NGL.
WHY DID I TEAR UP?!?!? D;
You're not alone! I started clapping at the screen and a joy tear rolled down my eye!
Oh my... given how much you love Spy missions, you're going to kick out once you find out about Ivara with her Infiltrate Augment, or about how Wukong's Ability (Cloud Walker) completely bypasses them...
Edit to add: Congrats on finishing the Tutorial!
And here I use wukong because I hate them
@@professionallybad126wukong and masters summons hell yah
@@Thaylien Thought you were going to say something else there.
"You're going to love finding Ivara's chassis on Pavlov, Lua's spy mission." (In sarcastic tone)
Congrats on finishing the warframe tutorial! 😀 I wonder if this will be one of your most viewed videos... hard to resist watching someone experience this. 🙂
31:44 "The frame isn't a person" oh boi.
its cool watching people play it for themselves and they notice different things to you, like where the name "Tenno" came from, that completely crossed my mind when i was doing the quest. Coincidentally enough, its almost like im progressing warframe with mactics rn, its weirdly cool in a way. such a good game
He botta go crazy, love the second dream!
he’s already mr13

@@GravitonLance well he plays alot and gets gifted alot. The relic pack gifts got him over 300 axi so he doesn't need to grind warframe relics. And 150 aya too. Basically made the grind easier by a ton
"Tenno! Tonight we hide the mooooooooooooon!"
I really love seeing someone actually take their time and enjoy Warframe as a whole, seeing things for the first time within the game and experiencing the story and how fun you can make it.
This quest was the reason why I was keep playing warframe and the following ones kept me coming back
Comming back to rewatch the second dream I realise that if you think about it, warframes plot of “children with powers controls robots to fight war” which is nothing new specially in the anime/mecha scene.
We have finally reached the quest section of the playthrough! Glazing from this point on!
28:21 It's not a gun. It's a laser, hold the shooting bottom.
Mannn, this video gave me flashbacks to yesteryear, when I barely knew how to find the modding interface 😭
Epic job dude, may your relationship with Warframe be long and fruitful.
Can't Wait for your reaction to next quests!
Also after 1000 hours and all quest completed i didn't notice we are called tenno after zariman ten zero... But English is not my first languago so meybe that's it.
WAIT HOLD ON I DIDNT REALIZE THAT ABOUT THE 10-0 THING
Sup Mactics! Bro I was a destiny player since the beginning. Loved it but got bored with it...then I found Warframe. Loved it and quickly became addicted. Couldn't believe I hadn't gotten onboard sooner. Played every chance I could get on a mission to try to get up to current content. But the pre release hype of final shape drew me back to destiny. That's when I started following you on RUclips for tips on improving my destiny gaming. Love your content. Now, seeing you go through the early parts of warframe reminds me how great it is. It is cool to see you, a top destiny player, experience the joy of learning about all that is warframe. Welcome, enjoy, it only gets better. Glad you're here. Looking forward to following your journey.
Congratulations on beating the tutorial. There are more moments like this to come. Good luck Tenno!!!

Bro this was a treat to watch, being able to experience it all AGAIN through someone else and seeing them enjoy it, i cant wait for you to learn more and dive deeper into the story
Welcome to the community, guard the secret for others as best you can :D
Congratulations, Tenno. You've officially completed the tutorial!!
Dude! Your excitement is my excitement. I'm almost re-living my Second Dream, all those years ago, watching your video. Keep it up!
This guy is better at spy missions better than 99% of warframe players.
99% of players just rush to the site and ignore the countdown
Tip, use Ivara and one of her Augments. never get caught in a Spy mission ever again.

Dude, as someone who played and who still plays warframe for years, thanks for bringing back so many good memories about the stuff I can't do again anymore. I'm really excited about your progress within the game and cheering for your next discoveries!
It's been nice to re live warframe with these vids. It's been years since I did all of this, and forgot everything lol
God damn I got a lil choked up watching this again. I'm so fucking glad I stuck with this since closed beta, its been incredible seeing what they have accomplished.
I loved watching this. It's such a great punch-up for the story and the community waited years for this to come together. It was worth the wait and it's cool to see someone fresh see and also feel it. Welcome Tenno.
HE’S FINALLY GOT HIS TENNO!!! HE’S OFFICIALLY ONE OF US!!!
And whatever you do, do not make Broken War into War!
Is War bad?

Always a joy to watch people do this quest :) Looking forward to the rest of the story quests ^^
i am so addicted to you playing warframe tho.
Congrats, you completed the tutorial. Welcome to Warframe.
Broken war is one of the best melee weapons in the game, absurdly overpowered for the point you're at.
It was amazing to follow through this quest again. When i did it back then, i didnt really understand what was happening, but this surely helped
"Hey you, youre finally awake."
absolutely loved your commentary. so glad you love the game ❤
You and your 50 hours. Two years! They made us wait two whole years!
Now imagine playing this AFTER you’ve been playing the game already for literal years
I quit playing warframe in 2014 and returned a couple weeks ago... Oh boy how surprised was I...
Love this series ,still gives me goosebumps when "this is what you are" plays while your tenno emerges out the pod ,blew my mind when I played this quest
