      Yes, for most of the questions, we have to convert. However, for some questions it is not compulsory to convert to exclusive...for example- while finding mean of data, the class marks for exclusive and inclusive data is same,so it's not necessary to change....both ways we get the same answer.
      Pls let me know if you have any questions....

    From my point of view, inclusive class intervals have no importance, because as in given example we write first class from 0 to 5 and next class 6 to 11, hence 5.5 not lie in both these intervals. So I think inclusive class intervals are useless.
    So always we have to make exclusive class intervals. Am I right?
    Next question, why we study inclusive class intervals, I think we have to study only exclusive class intervals?

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  7 месяцев назад +1

      Really glad that you are interested in knowing more about the ' why' as much as about the 'how'....great going !!👍👍👍
      We don't have to convert inclusive to exclusive class intervals for mean calculation. You may try a question which has inclusive class intervals and calculate mean first by converting to exclusive,and then without any conversion...you will get the same means value...
      For the second question, i have tried questions where we create class intervals and frequency distribution from raw data...it's always easier to create inclusive class intervals because we don't have to worry about excluding the upper limit value from that class interval. We can include both the class limits in that class interval...so I think in real world,data is collected in the form of inclusive class intervals also....but if any other viewer has any other information on this question,pls share in the comments,so that we all can learn... really liked your question !! 👍👍👍

    Can a class interval be negative? If so , then the common difference of first interval wouldn't be different from others??

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  Год назад +2

      Hello, yes I think there will be data which can be negative, for example temperatures, negative marks in some competitive exams, in physics velocity acceleration force can also be negative. In economics also I think growth rate can be negative.
      In such cases there will not be problem of different common difference. For example , if we have following class intervals
      -5 to 0
      0 to 5
      5 to 10 etc...
      The common difference ( class size ) for the first class interval will be 0- (-5) ( upper interval - lower interval ) which is 5. And for the other class intervals also we will get 5 as the difference.

    Mam how to calculate class width or it will be always 6

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  8 месяцев назад

      Class width will change according to the question. It is the upper limit - lower limit.
      Suppose class intervals are 0-5,5-10,10-15,......
      The class width = 5-0= 5
      Pls let me know if you have any questions

    How you get 0.5

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  6 дней назад

      @@SwamyPulipaka-k8q subtract the lower limit of class interval from upper limit of previous class interval..Whatever answer you get(usually it's 1),just divide that by 2....and the answer we get will be 0.5...

    How to represent the negative data in x-axis and how to draw a histogram

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  Год назад +1

      Hello, for plotting negative data on x axis, we have to shift to the second quadrant of the graph,where x takes negative values and y is positive....all other steps will be same ....for histogram also, only the quadrant will change,rest everything will be same as the case when data is positive...
      Pls let me know if you have any questions.....

    Maam can we draw histogram from -0.5

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  Год назад +1

      Hello,yes ,sure, you can draw histogram for negative values ..example- if you are plotting temperature in different cities ,and some temperatures are negative, this situation is possible...pls let me know if this helps

      @@EnjoyMath but my question came as wages of 30 workers staring from 0-50, 51-100 and so on.. till 251-300 and were told to make histogram..will it work here the same?

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath  Год назад +2

      In this particular case, as wages cannot be negative, we will take the first class interval in the positive axis only, we will not show that -0.5 in the negative axis..it will start from 0 only in the graph, pls let me know if you have any questions
