    how did u get 5 and 8 in 20 and 32?

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath 6 дней назад

      Here, the equation is Median = 40+ (15*20)/32 In the video, I just cancelled the common factor 4 present in 20 and 32. Median = 40+ (15*4*5)/4*8 Did u observe that the 4 was inside 20 and 32...so to make calculations easier,we cancel 4 from numerator and denominator,that's it...however,you can get the same answer without the cancellation, Median = 40+ (15*20)/32 = 40 + (300/32) = 40 + 9.375 = 49.375 Pls let me know if you have any questions....

    Respected Mam,In your linear equations of Pizza and Doughnuts 20x =400+ 25y= 625, how it comes to 1000,it comes to 1025!😢 The rest of the divisions of pizzas plus doughnuts come to 1000. how come.dr.s.r.latkar😊

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath 14 дней назад

      Hello sir, In the linear equation 20x+25y=1000 We are putting the value of x =20 and y= 24 So 20x= 20x20= 400 And 25y= 25x24=600 Therefore 20x+25y=400+600=1000 Pls let me know if you have any questions sir...😊😊👍👍

    • @suhaslatkar9007
      @suhaslatkar9007 13 дней назад

      My one more doubt about this problem is how many guests are expected while planning a party and is it planned to give each guest one pizza and one donut? Because some one may like only a pizza or a donut then we shall have to have some more items than expected! Secondly 20x + 25 y= 1000 statement is misleading (as it does not fulfill the equation),as our next step is 20x+ 24 y= 1000. Instead it would be wise to omit 20x +25 y=1000.but an additional note that if you know the number pizzas required you can get the number of donuts from the equation i.e. the cost of pizzas(20×20)+ y, (cost of donuts)= Rs1000/-. 2hd step is y= 1000- 400 =Rs.600/- 3rd step is 600/25= 24 donuts, to remain inside the budget of Rs.1000/- I hope I make myself clear about the difficulties of our hypothetical upcoming party!Regards.😊 dr.s.r.latkar

    • @EnjoyMath
      @EnjoyMath 13 дней назад

      @suhaslatkar9007 First question - The question says that for the party,budget is rs. 1000. And 2 items on the menu are pizza costing rs. 20 each , and donut costing rs.25 each. So how many donuts and pizzas can to be ordered so as to be within budget... If x is the number of pizzas and each pizza costs rs.20,then 20x denotes the total cost of pizzas. If y is the number of donuts and each donut costs rs.25,then 25y denotes the total cost of donuts. Hence total cost of both pizzas and donuts will be 20x + 25y and that has to be equal to 1000. Hence the equation is 20x+25y= 1000 . how many guests are expected? That is not given explicitly in the problem statement. But we can add it as an interesting restriction..also how many maximum pizzas and donuts are to be served to each guest? That will make the question even more realistic... However,in the video example,I have only chosen a simple scenario to show how linear equation is useful.... Second question - I am sorry if it's misleading sir, will surely try to make it more clear in future videos...thanks for the feedback...but the essence is that there are infinite solutions to this linear equation....but ofcourse if u want to avoid decimals and fractions for number of pizzas and donuts ,there will be fewer number but still good number of alternatives for the hypothetical party 😊😊

    • @suhaslatkar9007
      @suhaslatkar9007 13 дней назад

      Many, many, thanks, I must be the most dense student you ever had!😊 How will it be if we use X( prime x) for a total value of x pizzas (Rs.20× *some number of pizzas one chooses to buy as per the number of guests*) and Y(prime y)= total value of y donuts(25× any number dependant upon x pizzas to be purchased ) and we write the equation as X(cost of pizzas)+Y( to be derived)= 1000( the limiting budget figure)! So if only 10 pizzas are decided to be purchased( you know very well that in our party most guests hate pizzas, that's why only 10 piz.😊), then 200(X)+ Y=1000. next step Y=1000-200= 800. 800÷25=32 donuts. So now we can confidently buy 10 pizzas and 32 donuts and if some one asks for one more pizza(!),we say sorry only 10 pizzas were available 😊. I hope this will increase your hopes in me as an ok ish student material to teach me derivatives to calculate the instantaneous speed of the car at the next (dreadful)5th second given by dy/dx=2x.( these days this perplexing problem haunts me even in my dreams).pl.do not forget to send me your link on derivatives. with great regards, dr s.r.latkar😊

    It would have helped if you would have explained what is the meaning of a function,as i am from a medical field without training in calculus now struggling to understand calculus for the sake of curiosity i do not understand what a function is after watching many RUclips videos! As far as knowing whether the sound is very high or low ( with due respect to maths) i would rather depend more up on my ears than solving a long equation! 😊.with best wishes and regards.dr.s.r.latkar

      Yes, you are right,will take care to provide defination in future,thanks!! In simple terms, a function is a relation between 2 or more variable quantities....for example, we say that a human's age is a function of time, as time increases, age also increases..so the age is dependent on time' s value,so we say that age is the dependent variable and time is the independent variable.so we say that age is a function of time... Another example is speed of a car and time taken to complete a trip ...if car's speed increases, time taken to make a trip will decrease, so we say time is a function of speed here, as time is dependent variable and speed is the independent variable... Pls let me know if u have any questions....there is a more mathematical defination of function,but that's not really needed for now... Yes, I agree, we may not use integration for music,but it's a fact that integrals and integration are ingrained in music analysis and in sound instruments.... incredible but true!! Really appreciate your keen interest in understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing...👍👍👍👍

      Many thanks for such a quick response to my query (just within 5 hrs).God bless you! Yes your 2 examples giving the time as both as a dependent and independent variables cleared my doubts as one can wrongly think that time is a standard entity against which other things are always compared. It surely cleared my doubts.Thanks again. Do you also have basic videos about integration, derivatives,differentiation,and Power rules etc ? If so please give me the links. regards and thanks.dr.s.r.latkar.age 78,and still going strong as a practicing dental surgeon and exploring more knowledge areas like calculus!😊

      I completed my inter sc.premedical exam. (13th std,11th was our ssc exam)in 1965-66 from Pune univ.that time calculus was not in our curriculum ( but it was taught in Bombay univ.) so i always felt that we were lacking knowledge about a very imp.branch of maths so to fulfill my wish i have started learning it now from various youtube videos.Hope you will help me!dr.s.r.latkar.🙏

      Thank you very much,I was in S.P.college and that time in 12th B group we had basic maths( surds,matrices, basics of trigonometry,along with Biology when i went to 13th class my hostel friends who were in A group, maths only and no biology started telling me that they are learning calculus and they said that it makes solving the binomial theorem quickly and easily ! Of course i did not know what a binomial theorem is but never the less i was impressed that there seems to be a way to make maths easy. Then i forgot all about it doing our equally challenging medical, and dental subjects. I kept on listening to the magic of the calculus all my life from my son who became an engineer and grandson who is now in 1st year B.E.in COEP Pune both of them tried to explain the basics but i did not find any magic in it but i found plenty of assumptions and worse still much of the approximations i.e.h=/ 0 but as it is almost a 0 ignore it in this particular equation!😊 I was disillusioned and hunted RUclips videos and kept on stumbling and stubbing my toes on as dy/dx=2x, this will give you the instantaneous speed of the car at 5 th second (in its trip) ! ? I hope with your help i can separate a schaff from the wheat! Regards.dr.s.r.latkar😊
