Hello everyone, pls note the correction - the first class interval should be < 120 as we don't know for sure if the observations less than 120 will be within 110-120 range....pls make note, thanks 👍👍👍

We need cf column when we have to calculate median or draw ogive...otherwise we don't have to get cf of new frequency formed.... pls let me know if you have any questions...
@@sadiasaleem-z4y sorry, I was about to type, and the phone battery was over!! If it is not given whether it's f or cf.. Yes,in this example, there are 4 girls whose height is below 120 cm, but it's not given what is the starting value..may be one girl is 110 cm,another may be 108 cm ...we have no idea, hence we can only write either 'below 120' or '

One way could be to club class intervals in such a way that we get equal width class intervals... For example- 5-8 freq 7, 8-10 freq 3 , 10-15 freq 9 etc... We may regroup them as 5-10 freq 10, 10-15 freq 9 and so on... Then we can proceed.... Pls let me know if you have any questions...
When calculating the median with unequal class intervals, you still use the same formula as with equal intervals, but you need to identify the "median class" carefully based on the cumulative frequencies, as the middle value will likely fall within a class that is not the same size as others
In this question, we have more than type frequency. That is, 39 students have got marks ≥ 0....but can we tell out of these 39 students how many got marks ≥ 15? How many got marks ≥ 30? No, we really cannot tell accurately at all .....but just look at the bottom most row .....marks ≥ 90 , number of students is 3...cannot we not say with 100% surety that there are 3 students who got marks ≥ 90? Definitely we can, because there is no other row after the ≥ 90 row....so surely those 3 students only have got marks ≥ 90 and hence our last row frequency becomes 3 and we can then easily find other frequencies....that is why we start from bottom most row and not top most row in case of more than frequency... Pls let me know if you have any questions.....

it is not required to have the same class width for all class intervals to find the mode; you can still calculate the mode by findingclass mark ig
