Man I was so exited for this piece. Btw Evangelion only had one season. And 4 movies which are like a revamp of the original season that expands into a completely different thing. Definitely worth the rewatch

This is my favorite anime although I don't know if I could get into as an adult. I think I got into at the perfect time: when I was an angsty teen lol I would absolutely LOVE to own this even with all the flaws. I like how the design captures how brutal and sentient the Eva are.

I couldn’t really get into this anime either. I don’t know if anyone mentioned this yet but the designer of this piece Josh Nizzi is also the designer of the upcoming Justice Buster piece as well. This Eva is a cool looking piece but no I don’t think it has the x-factor either. Thanks for bringing us another review despite not feeling your best bud

Hey it glows in the dark as well!! It’s pretty awesome. It was a bitch to assemble. Luckily I didn’t break anything but I’m mesmerized by the angel. Satchel looks so good his heart looks amazing! Great piece.
Dope piece I just had a clean break on my Iron Studios hulk buster. The arm doesn’t fit into the peg & the arm fell off after I thought I got it in decently. I was wrong when I heard a random crash a day later. (Literally an hour ago) $360 for an armless statue so that’s how my day has started lol
I love the detail in that statue very awesome! I do agree about that plane, pointless in my opinion but, I do think the statue itself looks amazing very reminiscent of like you said Transformers, or even Pacific Rim. thanks for sharing your awesome statue.👍👍
It's not a plane though, it's the tail of a helicopter. They're used multiple times in the anime, and many of them were destroyed by Sachiel (the defeated angel on the base) before Unit-01 fights it
This statue is masterpiece it look ao epic i feel like these anime statues are getting extra care from Prime 1 if we dont consider this worae design on this piece but overall their anime statues looks really awesome anyway i must disagree on one thing about this statue i think the value is pretty good cuz Evangelion got really cult fanbase and everything from evangelion statues and figures always go for more in the after market but we will see about this statue in the future And one question did you see the Evangelion statue with the 2 spears ? If sou what are your thought about that piece ?

Big robots are always a win. But it seems like prime one could have took a little bit more time with this piece. I am shocked that the exclusive had a higher number produced than the regular. That makes the regular version more rare. What an ass backwards thing to do,

Same here the concept I love and I should like it but I didn't at all. It has my favorite themes they got mechs, post apocalypse sort of, sci-fi, giant monsters, guns, death, violence, sluts, main characters die unexpectedly. But its just soo generic, formulaic and full of tropes. It's not for me, I'll take Gundam thunderbolt any day of the week.
Anime Evangelion is what Attack of the Titans is today. It's meant to shock you about how far humanity has fallen. Unit 01 is looking good here, but it could have been better. The colors don't really impress MR X, it's just you are losing the anime shading style for a realistic paint job. Hope you feel better though MR X, take care.
I can't judge the piece on its concept because I never got into the anime, so I can't say if it is accurate to the scene or not, as I could one punch man. Still even though huge mechs have been done in so many different forms and styles, this Evangelion is beautifully constructed. The sculpt and color skim is really fantastic for its type. One thing that always impresses me is the imaginative design of both the monsters and Mechanical instruments of protection from them. Have to agree that the plan is an eye sore but other than that, everything else in the base is really well done. Nicely done piece over all a definite 4/5. Hey Mr.X sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather but glad it isn't the covid virus. I hear it is a very bad thing to catch. Obviously that pregnancy test is false you can tell by your irritable symptom that it is that time of the month. That's definitely a shame I thought this looks like a pretty cool robot statue that I knew nothing about the backstory. I totally agree with you if I had this piece it would go with my Transformers cuz actually it looks similar to the way Starscream looks in one of the newer animated Transformers cartoons that's what it actually makes me think of. It's a shame it was such a dumpster fire with broken parts and little pieces not going in and falling off. Still looks damn cool and definitely like the open mouth portrait
Most definitely a miss to me by the size and price a bigger fan of the OG Eva that was put out by Prime 1 much closer to the original anime congrats by brother just the same
#Don't like Eva too. Read comics/manga, watched anime. I could only see a young writer copied some concepts and making main characters more dark. There were many better dark comic/manga many years before it. The animation somehow helped it exploded and spread to the world. It's not bad, but nothing really outstanding.
I really like the piece but it's a little odd to see the Eva being so powerful. In the anime the situation is hopeless and the bad guys have the upper hand.

I agree P1 tends to suck in their design, I got breaks on both my Guts statues. But on the end when it's finally assembled, you almost forgive them.
