I remember seeing the 1976 King Kong when I was a kid, and how sad I was at the end. This was a epic scene. I can understand the whole non-refundable deposit thing, but in my opinion if there are significant changes to the product you are to receive that you should get a refund.
It's really nice i like the angle shot of the camera where you showed how Kong is gripping the Skull Crawler's neck showing the skin wrinkling being grabbed like that by Kong's hand and fingers giving the illusion of choking the Crawler by stopping him. Also too the dynamics of both creatures fighting looks cool especially Kong's back muscle showing his strength to fight off the Crawler off him. Cool statue there Mr. X.
I agree with you on the base bottom half doesn't look finished or rather looks lack luster. Now for the rest of it for me it's definitely a statement statue I personally like the material for the hair and to be honest the head sculpt looks really great on Kong, it's a keeper for sure dude no question.

Definitely worth it! I actually think the Kong portrait is great! And the greenish muddy water is pretty realistic. I like the mixed media hair, but I agree the concern is it's integrity over time. The only part I am a little disappointed in is where the Skullcrawler's tail does tend to blend into Kong's body. I really enjoy this statue and think they caught a great snapshot from the movie! Been working on something for a while and not had time to comment altho have watched your videos rmecently through my TV during my time and love them still :) this is a great Kong piece. Design wise I prefer the 2005 Peter Jackson Kong but this is still a great looking Kong. The base for me looks so real and amazing. This is more detailed and beautifully painted than I thought. Great video again. I may not be able to comment on the other videos but should be able to start commenting daily again now I have time. Take care mate

Are you going to pick up the Roboute Guilliman Warhammer 40K statue by HMO? It's one of the best statues I've ever seen, would be a fantastic addition to X Towers 8-)
The Kong vs skullcrawler Statue is beautiful. A lot bigger than I thought it would be. I have been looking at this one or possibly pre-ordering the new Godzilla Bust from Sideshow. Either way, you can’t go wrong with most of these sculptures.

I think the statue is badass. There is one for sale at my local comic shop and it looks amazing but for some reason the fur in the video didn't look that good, Ill have to inspect the one at the LCS better next time I go in. Kong is going to look great in your collection for sure.
Its a alright piece imo I feel like the base isn't good at all minus the fence. The green looks like some kinda snot Doesn't give off a dirty effect. I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on it thats what makes collecting interesting to see what other people like. If you like it then thats all that matters. Nice review as always

I like the action taking place on that piece, but I do agree with your assessment, it has a few issues with the paint. That being said it’s very impressive!
According to the notes from the movie Kong is supposed to be 100 feet tall. If your Kong is around 20 inches that puts him at 1/60th scale. Still a huge piece!
It does look great...obviously with some flaws - but u really have to examine the piece to notice them I think. As part of a display of similar characters its a great addition.
What a great display size, very limited areas where this could be displayed, from a case perspective. However if you have the space it is impressive. A little less so the closer you get.

Also, his empire was crumbling prior with all the money he owed all over town w mobsters/etc. At least that’s what I remember. And say what you will about the film, but Denzel’s performance is definitely not overrated.
The scale of this is impressive....not too keen on the plastic chain....overall it's nice and not a bad pick up given the lack of Kong statues available.
It's a cool piece to say the least. However, I think the issues that you have brought up out weigh the good. I too looked at this piece, but too much bothered me as well. Keep up the good work.

This is the type of statue that looks better the further away you're. As soon as you did close ups I dislike it but from the normal distance looks amazing. Maybe I'm wrong and that's ok 🤷♂️😂

Only criticism is the chain looks a bit flimsy. Its wafting in the breeze and doesn't give the impression it has much weight behind it.

Agreed with the paint and the fur on kong could have been alot better. This scene was near the end of the fight so needed more battle damage on both.

Agree the concept is really good, but some of the sculpt/paint/fur didn't turn out great.
I like it now as I did when I first saw it at a con. If I could get him it would definatly be worth the spend. Cheers👍🏻🍻
