Looking forward to that Tool Review now, lol. The $100/$120USD and Under category for subs has really improved of the past 5-7 years. If only there were more (GOOD) passive radiators on the market in the $50-80 range, a CHEAP 130+db sub section could easily be put together for $500 or less (all-in) off a stock alternator, small aux AGM battery for capacitance. 130db is plenty of course for most daily driver consumers... FOR THAT PRICE POINT.

What is it with these sub manufacturers making subs with a high fs lately. A low 20s fs sounds a lot better.
That low budget sub was really moving. 😳
Not bad for getting into things I have never seen anyone go long before wanting to upgrade their subs after getting into car audio. A lot of people learn about clipping when they kill their first set of subs so it may as well be lower cost. I could definitely see one of those beating just fine in a good setup. Would be a cool video to put like 6 or 8 of them in a big box and see what you can get them to do.
With the decent sensitivity it probably has a soft suspension and may work well in a budget SQ application. I wonder how it would do sealed? Maybe an IB setup, not sure of the specifics but I think the Qts plays into it.
If you put the BHG watt meter in Apparent Power mode, it should read the same as the SMD meter.
The reason your seeing lower numbers in that Wattage/Impedance screen is because it's doing a Power Factor adjustment. It's supposed to be a more Real World, realistic power number.
The SMD meter (in most modes) does not calculate the Power Factor and that's why it seems to read higher.
There's also some cases where the SMD meter (when in certain modes) will jump to double power. This is usually around clipping. We still don't know what's causing that.
Yes I did some more testing they both read the same apparent power. However, the BHG power factor is closer to 75% and the SMD was closer to 88% in the specific test that I did

I am seriously great full you did a video on these I have a question for you though. I'm running a 500 watt Rockford fosgate amp along with a lc2i pro. Do you think honestly my amp would give me a decent amount of power for these ? I plan on only having my gain up like mabey half way for the break in point and I'm planning on turning the bass gain up a quarter of the way in my lc2. You think they'll push with what I'm planning on using ? I'm pretty much going be running 400 watts of power to power these two guys.. I'm not planning on playing them super hard I just want that extra kick to my music for my daily commute
And plus I'm using the JBL stage vented box I already had with my subs. I'm not planning on shaking the ground. I just wanna have some bass while I make my way to work or get groceries. u think my amp will be ok to power these up with no problem?

And hes doing a real world review and most people that are going to buy these are going to be on a low budget so they wont have battery banks and bigger alternator so that voltage is right where it needs to be for this test
