I went to Route 1 Motorsports in Palm Bay, Florida and picked up a 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro. This summer I plan on finding out what this thing can do. This was my very first time on a jet ski and I figured out what better way to test it out than heading 25 miles offshore and shooting some great fish.
I was very impressed by how the ski handled, how dry the ride was, and how much room is on the Pro Fish. Even while going over boat wake and some nice chop on the way in it was a dry ride. There will be much more diving and fishing action to come on this jet ski

Thanks for showing the entire spear fishing process. I’m new to the sport, and I’m trying to learn all I can. I’ve been so frustrated with s man channels showing the shot, their victory cheer, and then cutting to a new shot. It’s awesome to see the struggle from beginning to end. Awesome video

@jorge rodi as long as your group are all on the same page when it comes to safety tou can go a lifetime without anything bad happening. Yes things happen (like shallow water blackout, samba and other predators) but if you and you buddy are trained and aware it's like any other sport.

I just about pulled the trigger on one of those fish pros, till I watched some RUclips videos of sea doos sinking. After seeing those, I don't think I would ever feel safe out to far by myself.

I looked at that model. I was concerned with the fact that the foot wells had no drains or scuppers. In cooler water that might suck with cold feet. How did you drain the foot wells? Just curious if you found that to be an issue. I bet they may have drains on the '20 model.

Free diving 90 feet plus with enough bottom time to hit a fish, very impressive. Think about a dive flag and maybe keeping one gun in the ready in case Mr. Fin shows up. Stay safe.
We had a flag up. We were trying to keep a gun loaded at all times. I'm going t ok make a gun rack for it eventually.
Great footage and what a way to christen the new ski! Is this video from before the Bahama trip, or did you already do this after you came back? If so, man you never slow down dude. I would have been wasted laying around for a few days after that trip.

Was the ski anchored? If not seems sketchy, or am I just afeared?
Not anchored. We basically drift the same speed as the ski. It would be a lot harder to do if it was anchored. We would have to work really hard to stay in one spot.

Mutton meat excellent, that king I usually cut into stakes and fry it, save the head for fish soup taste. I stopped buying fish at the local supermarket doesn't have that fresh taste. Same thing with backyard grown vegetables.
I love being able to have fresh fish almost all the time. Very spoiled. I almost never buy seafood out
Joey, I’ve been wondering if trolling is doable on the Fish Pro? With the price of boats being in the stratosphere my hope is these things may bring offshore fishing back within reach of working people (weather permitting of course).

compared to other ski models would you say the with the added deck in the rear and the 155 motorthat its also plenty fast enough for play time and trying to get from place to place in hurry?
Definately. Sea doo used the 155 platform for the fish pro for fuel efficiency and reliability, you can do all the fun things on this ski that you can do on any other one built.The fish pro still does 54 mph and with 18.5 gallons of fuel, it gives you more range to do more.

You should probably start carrying a dive knife to dispatch the fish and cut lines if necessary.
I have a dive knife on my belt. It's faster and easier to kill the fish with a spear. It's one less thing to hold on to.
