    I use to have a small boat but I've been jetski fishing now for a few years (over 500 hrs now). It's really great to see a company is building something for this specific market. Why would you buy this over a boat? Plenty of reasons: less cash for a completely offshore-capable fishing unit (you'd have to spend $40K plus to match the offshore range and weather/seas capability of a good jetski in any boat) ; good fuel economy and range; easy storage; I cross coastal bars with a minimum of fuss in all types of weather and swell; I can travel at high speeds to get where I want to be; I can launch it at ramps or beach very easily by myself; and I love going out by myself; It's also a challenge to me and keeps life interesting! There are positives and negatives for all types of craft, but don't knock it until you've tried it!

      @@michaelboling804 Folks are taking Jet Skis from FL to the Bahamas all the time. It's 60 miles.
      I haven't seen this model specifically but I wouldn't have any reason to believe it wouldn't do the same.
      Technically, you could go as far as you could carry fuel for.
      Though, maintenance and miles into it would then become a factor.
      Just read today about a fella from Australia who is taking "Wilson" on a trip from Aus to Indonesia where his daughter died.
      This guy has his Jet Ski tricked the heck out man. Like, wow. Wow. lol

      @@michaelboling804 sorry for delay, but go to my RUclips channel to see (ruclips.net/user/jetfisher) but a lot of the time I am 15 miles or more offshore. The range is around 100miles on the standard tank but I installed an aux tank that is an added 7 gallons, so another 40 miles roughly. So plenty of ragne for any fishing day trip.

      @@dgnz7628 hi there it depends on conditions and speed ,if you wish to travel at speed I tend to stand and use my knees for shocks,if your cruising though the seats have great cushion and hull cuts through swell really well, sometimes notice ski can feel as if it drifts slightly sideways if you not square on to swell its a bit more noticeable than a boat, being a smaller vessel , never had a spill off it yet or a omg moment but prefer to stay dry more than wet and stupid .Worth a sea test really different at first but confidence builds with hours and trust in hulls capabilities .hope that helps

    If you use this unit year round it is worth the money. We use it to pull a wakeboard & tube on the Columbia River in Washington. We are currently using it for salmon fishing in Drano Lake and Priest Rapids on the Columbia River and it haven’t let me down. Two people fit great. We just slid the cooler to the rear of the jet ski so we can stand and stretch once and a while and we switch back and forth to get a break from stearin. My son is 5’9” 160lbs I’m 5’7” 220lbs and we have never felt that the jet ski would flip in anyway. We use the fish finder mostly for depth. But it does work. I have never used a fish finder before so I’m still learning how all this works. My son and I are bank fishermen but now we are trying something new. Had to buy all new fishing gear for this! We definitely have spent more time together now that we have the fishpro! My daughter is next to learn how to fish.

    Got 2020 model with two kids fishing from it and no issues what so ever. I understand what you say about it being solo, but we made it work. What totally shocked me was how easy it was to launch solo and the extra deck cannot be underestimated. Removed all the accessories and has a diving/towing platform, that alone sold me. No regrets. 170hp is plenty love it. The only surprise was length with trailer. It was 22” longer than I anticipated and made garage parking someone tricky. 182kms on one tank. WOW

      @rudyespinoza220 5 лет назад +1

      Yes you are correct, you could buy a boat for a lot less. My son and i use it year round & we live I Washington (PNW). So we pull wakeboard and tubes in the summer and go fishing in the fall and spring for salmon on the Columbia River. You can’t do that an aluminum boat. It’s AWSOME if you can use it year round but if you don’t then I can see its a lot of money for this unit. We got a great deal . $14,000. And are using it a hole lot. My next challenge is to figure out how to anchor down and fish for sturgeon.

    obviously old but, and while someone else likely mentioned it somewhere, having a Shetland Pony be the example in place of a Clydesdale when standing in one side of a ski is in no way a fair representation of stability, and is more than likely what time it REALLY is with the alleged missing video of himself. He has all of the OTHER footage...he's just missing THAT snippet. While I'm sure this is a fine machine, I'm calling BS.

    I cant see this being better than my cheap simple 14ft aluminum boat that has way more room and is an eighth of the price. No to mention almost no maintenance.

      Different animal, much faster and much more sea worthy buy for fishing I'd take the 14 ft any day.

    you can tell it wasn't designed by anyone who actually fishes, it's unfortunate cause there is a lot of potential here and you can see it's not for big boys given they wouldn't allow the big guy to actually stand on the edge and fish.
