- I took my fishing jets 12 miles offshore in search of some big reef fish! When we got to the public reefs offshore our Fishing sea doo fish finder was marking massive schools of fish all over the reefs!! I use my sea doo fish pro to do a ton of offshore fishing out of Alabama but I have never seen it like this!!

From the jetski…maybe some groupers, some trolling for: dorado, sailfish, wahoo, etc.
Red Snapper….whole fried snapper. If its too big just break it down into chunks that are well seasoned, pass it thru a flour bath and into the fryer.
Can’t wait to target some of these fish!!
Do some off-shore trolling for sure. I’d also like to see some inshore stuff. Trolling in the rivers for specks.

How do you anchor your jetski. I live in Jacksonville and our bottoms are hard mud. I have tried 12lbs mushroom anchor, Cooper anchor and the anchor that comes with the Jetski.
I don’t ever anchor it I’m constantly moving around

@@southernsalt if memory serves I have seen you fish inshore, in shallow water too; with the motor running? Do you think the motor running in that situation cost you fish?

Most of the time when you got that many red snapper you Chances to catch Something else are slim.
Always a variety down there but definitely tough getting through the snapper. I’ve never seen them that thick there.
Anything except red snapper! I too love to catch red snapper but in my opinoin, they are the most over rated fish in the ocean as far as table fare. The mangrove snapper is the best eating and full of fight too! Good action...
