Shooting a fish while you are reeling it in has the be the most American thing I have seen this week. In the UK, we only get to do boring non-firearms based fishing.
The first time I caught a KING fish 🐟, We were around 60miles off of the coast of Wilmington, NC. When he noticed the bright shine and shape of the fish, I was told by the captain that I had a King on the line!! We were out there for Grouper and Tuna that day, but the King devoured the Mullet that I cast netted before sunrise that morning. As I reeled it closer to the surface, Tom (The Captain, A.K.A. Fire man) said, that's actually a real nice-sized King! For a retired fisherman, in his late 70's to say REAL BIG, I knew It had to be something special. I had her hooked. I could see she was about 6-ish feet under the surface and all of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, the REAR HALF of the KING disappeared and all I saw was a huge shadow slowly biting down on my catch. Turns out, a HUGE Hammerhead had it's electric radar homed in on my KING. I didn't realize the hammer was there, until half of the shiny king was missing, then all of a sudden, it stopped fighting and I caught half of a fish. I was told by Fireman, that this half was as big as some Kings that he seen win tournaments in Florida. I was still in shock that I'd seen such an enormous Hammerhead! All I know is that we had plenty of kingfish to feed the neighborhood. That's not even counting the Grouper we snagged that day as well. On another note, when we were headed out to see that beautiful morning, I spotted something treading the water. Something that looked like a person's head trying to stay afloat. Fireman believed that I saw something and turned back to investigate. When we pulled up, It was a VW Beetle-sized Leatherhead turtle!!! It was huffing and puffing as it swam east towards the middle of the Atlantic. It was one of the most amazing and beautiful things I've ever seen. I bet that turtle had been in the ocean for over 50 years... Sorry for the long story, just wanted to give a shout out to Tom Borland, A.K.A. Fireman, the Captain. RIP Tom!

Dang Joey, just found your channel. Love your passion and adventurous persona! Didn’t know fishing from a SeaDoo was a thing, but love your rig and technique. The Glock was a nice feature too. The wife caught a 43 Lb Ono (Wahoo) on a charter in Hawaii, I think they’re related to the King Fish. Put up a great fight but she boated it! Retired now, but if I was 30 years younger and lived near the Gulf, I would try this. 😎
The size of that fish reminds me of the one that hung at the Two Georges dock in Boynton in the 70's. $7.00 for 4 hours of fishing the poop pipe coming out from Delray Beach. What's a head boat cost these days? Living the life Joey!
Your entire setup is awesome! Offshore in that craft with what your doing has got to be assembled with experience which is very respectable. So probably the first question I’d have is with big fish, waves ect how to keep from tipping a jet ski and losing $$$ of equipment? I’m jealous bro! Would love to do this👍 edit: hell yes subscribed!
They can NOT roll over, their center of balance is too low. You can FORCE them to roll with a huge amount of effort or a curling wave, but they instantly right themselves.
Not at all. If the Sharks were around I would not have landed this fish. They are horrible for the most part every now and then you get lucky and find an area that you can actually fish.
Sharks see someone fishing and it’s like ringing the dinner bell for them. Easy meal fishermen brings up the fish and shark eats it right there. Cant blame them.
can we just talk about how blacktiph is being stupid he doesn't know how dangerous stinger rigs are and razor sharp teeth in a tiny space he's just made about it because you don't have to go on charters to catch fish love you @Joey Antonelli
Last year right at dark, about to pack up from catfishing and of course thats when you get a bite. I ran over to my rod and started fighting the fish and out of the corner of my eye saw something by my foot that hadnt been there all day. It was a 3' long snake coiled up and ready to strike. I stepped away, put my rod in my left hand while i continued to fight the fish and drew my trust HK with my right hand and smoked the snake, all while fighting the fish. Safely holstered my P30L and got the fish to the bank and in the net. An experience i wont soon forget!
I do like how you were armed and you used it smartly and decisively. However I’m at I suggest a telephone style cord leash for it, as if it goes overboard when you need it, it’s gone. They have all kinds of things that would keep it attached to you.. otherwise good on you for being armed! True American!
Nice fish dude.... A little tip.... Attach a lanyard to your pistol in case you drop it won't drown... We carried a surplus Beretta 92s on our little 16 footer. It came with the lanyard loop so we attached a dogs leash to it.
Funny how different parts of the world call fish different names, in Australia we call your king fish a Spanish Mackerel. Absolutely love these fish so much fun to catch except when you get them in the boat and they go absolutely mental and try and bite your toes off or anything they can LoL. Love your method of calming them down I just wish I could do that here in Aus, pretty sure if someone saw me popping a cap in one I would be public enemy number one really fast
Years ago a buddy of mine got a decent king. Held it up tail first for a picture. The king got a Burts of energy and shook itself from his grip. It landed teeth first accross the top of this foot. He was alone and though he was going to bleed out before he got back to shore. Good idea with the pew pew for safety

Dunno whether to be happy for such a catch or having to call it a day just to bring in the catch. One things certain. Someones eating good tonight. Real nice!
Oh yea, that's so legit. Don't think you could rig that Sea-Doo any better...Mr .40 cal is what makes all the gear complete, nice shot by the way. Could barely see the point of entry when you were putting it in the bag, definitely did more than 'stun' him, looked like a fortunate spine shot. Always keeping it real Joey great job
Definitely comes with me every time. I said stoned him but I hear on the video it sounds a lot more like stunned.

That's a BEAST of a King. Congratulations man.
I have caught many massive kings and never needed a pistol!!!!
Thank you for the video señor!!! Excellent work!!!
Proud of you!❤😊
awesome fish! Just a thought, a lanyard from the pistol to the ski might be a good idea...

Hey Joey, the biggest smoker I ever caught weighed 42 pounds and it was on a pin fish.
You are hilarious!! Qualified!! And a great fisherman!! Not a bad seadoo Capt either!🤙Yew
That qualified Captain hat is my best catch yet.

Dayum … very sweet kingfish - congrats!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That kingfish was a giant and toothy! That is not easy managing all that gear on a Jetski. Well done.
The size of that fish reminds me of the one that hung at the Two Georges dock in Boynton in the 70's. $7.00 for 4 hours of fishing the poop pipe coming out from Delray Beach. What's a head boat cost these days? Living the life Joey!

$75 for the blue heron and others but two George’s is still bumpin on a Friday
Your entire setup is awesome! Offshore in that craft with what your doing has got to be assembled with experience which is very respectable. So probably the first question I’d have is with big fish, waves ect how to keep from tipping a jet ski and losing $$$ of equipment? I’m jealous bro! Would love to do this👍 edit: hell yes subscribed!
They can NOT roll over, their center of balance is too low. You can FORCE them to roll with a huge amount of effort or a curling wave, but they instantly right themselves.
You can not flip it over even if you jump on the side, I did it many times... I spearfish from similar one - incredibly stable platform.
I truly believe the hat was the real catch of the day!
You are absolutely livin the life my guy!!!
Joey you have a good life, appreciate the videos...
I'm having fun with it!

Sometimes sharks are super aggressive when pulling up fish. Do you find when you catch predatory fish the sharks lay off?

Guns don’t kill people, they kill fish 😂
I like the way you worked your fish very gently and calm love it
Had a seadoo as a kid and never thought that they would be perfect fishing boats
can we just talk about how blacktiph is being stupid he doesn't know how dangerous stinger rigs are and razor sharp teeth in a tiny space he's just made about it because you don't have to go on charters to catch fish love you @Joey Antonelli
They are shipping in migrants like crazy!
I've never seen anyone catch a nicer fish on a SeaDoo! Nice Fish!
✌️❤️😁
Last year right at dark, about to pack up from catfishing and of course thats when you get a bite. I ran over to my rod and started fighting the fish and out of the corner of my eye saw something by my foot that hadnt been there all day. It was a 3' long snake coiled up and ready to strike. I stepped away, put my rod in my left hand while i continued to fight the fish and drew my trust HK with my right hand and smoked the snake, all while fighting the fish. Safely holstered my P30L and got the fish to the bank and in the net. An experience i wont soon forget!
Imagine grilling this fish with your friends, some cold beer. Looks cool.
I do like how you were armed and you used it smartly and decisively. However I’m at I suggest a telephone style cord leash for it, as if it goes overboard when you need it, it’s gone. They have all kinds of things that would keep it attached to you.. otherwise good on you for being armed! True American!
That was one of the most entertaining fishing videos ever. Happy for you.
good catch
Nice fish dude.... A little tip.... Attach a lanyard to your pistol in case you drop it won't drown... We carried a surplus Beretta 92s on our little 16 footer. It came with the lanyard loop so we attached a dogs leash to it.
Bro. You were magnificent. I was screamin. Well done!!
Fish balls for that king are amazing!
What a great day man.. this is the kind of thing that reminds me im not livin life right atm..
Impressed that you catch on such a small craft
You are so brave for being out there, my thalassophobia could NOT.
Thats some really pretty water out there. Nice fish. Love your center console.
Bro went fishing and pulled out the blicky IN TANJIROS SOUL💀💀💀
Nice king mackerel. Didn't need one for my kings (out of Islamorada), but then we had a bigger boat.
This guy is living the life I need!
We've got King and Spanish here in the States. They look alike but Spanish are smaller and have a spot on their dorsal.
Couple nice fish and a free hat. Can't beat that with a stick. 😆
Great shot especially with a fishing pole with a giant fish on the end
Now this guys living life 👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Years ago a buddy of mine got a decent king. Held it up tail first for a picture. The king got a Burts of energy and shook itself from his grip. It landed teeth first accross the top of this foot. He was alone and though he was going to bleed out before he got back to shore. Good idea with the pew pew for safety
Just came across your channel and man am I hyped! Looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing.
Oufff I’m drooling with all the recipe ideas for that fish
