I bought a 2” Roscoe today, and it shoots fine. The fit and finish are at least on par with the S&W Model 36. The roll mark coloring isn’t nearly as garish in person. 👍👍👍👍
I will probably be picking one of these up. I own a Smith & Wesson bull barrel model 10 and a 2 inch chief special. I have been looking to pick up the 3 inch bull barrel model 36. this is quite obvious a replica of that coming in at a fraction of the price of a vintage model 36 3 inch. I haven’t said that I don’t like to shoot my 40 to 50-year-old revolvers that much and for the price. I might eventually pick up both barrel length so we shall see.
Sharp looking revolver with that deep blued finish. Way better looking than the dull cerakote or stainless finishes. Too bad its only a five shot. That is why I would pick a Colt Detective Special over a Smith Chief Special M36. That six shot cylinder is why and the trigger is superb on a Colt Detective compared to a Smith Chief. The Chief may conceal a tad bit better with the smaller cylinder but the difference is negligible for concealed carry. I like my Taurus 856 Defender +P three inch just fine. The Heritage Roscoe looks great though. Thanks for sharing.
Not sure I would drive to TN. LOL. I will wait and see if they get them in at our local Rural King. They are sold out everywhere online. Pretty popular. My grandfather had one like this. I want to get one like his.
Taurus had a bad rep as being "cheap" or guns youd buy of youre poor or about to use it as a Saturday night special gun or rob someone. But they really stepped their game up with the revolver's and G3 line up. The only complaint I honestly habe with this revolver is that its not a classic 6 shooter. Other than that its clean,to the point and timeless.
Out of all the videos I have seen on this firearm no one talks about the optional rubber grip in the box or am I the only one that got one. I am going to leave the wood grips on because I think they look great but it's nice to have the option.
Correct. In the box is a set of black rubber Taurus (logo-ed) grips. To me they just don't fit with the "spirit" of the gun. But like you said, they are there and you have the option.
Good idea to offer the 3" barreled option.
Love these, the old school look is perfect for them. Gonna pick up the snubby when I can.

Thanks, I plan to pick one up.

Love it. I gotta pick one up for myself. Thanks for the review.

Call them and have it shipped to your local FFL.

These look nice I already have a Taurus 856 though so I don’t know if I’ll be buying a roscoe any time soon.

That's a nifty son of a gun! 👍
Tempted to buy the 3 inch Roscoe
Its kind of funny when you think about it, young people today for the most part have no idea where the term Roscoe comes from
What's it mean?
Roscoe , Gat , Heater , Little Brother , Insurance Policy , Pocket Rocket , all are euphemisms for a pocket pistol .
Not a bad looking gun
It's just a gussied-up Taurus Model 85, lest people think it's something new. The Heritage marking is strictly for show.
Leave the tacky laser etched logo off
Where can you find one for sale?
The retailer at the start of the video has them.
