    This vid is exactly what I was looking for. Just bought a set used with 33" 12.5 on 20X10s so even that rubs the crash bar on the front and likely the fender material too. Not so much on the back, but your vid was perfect for me with a good explanation. Nice work and many thanks. -T

    You are definitely braver than me. I wouldn’t cut my truck for a set of wheels and tires. Don’t get me wrong, it looks good, but for my situation it’s not worth the trouble and I’m not ready to void any warranties just yet. From the research I’ve done, cutting the front crash bar isn’t a big deal, but the back one is supposed to keep the wheel out of the cab in case of a front impact. I guess it also depends on how the truck is being used. Mine goes off-road more than most because of my work, so I really can’t have tires rubbing, but that’s me.
    All that really matters is that it makes you happy.

      @MeAndCarKeys  2 года назад +1

      Yeah i like the look! But I went back and forth about crash bars for a really long time!! I got the same thing doing my research, so I made sure they left as much of the back crash bar as possible.

    Nice looking truck bro! very well explain every detail. This is what i got. 2018 F-150 two wheel drive. i just installed 3.5 readylift. will I run in to any of this rubbing? how is the tires on the highway? and what brand? I also installed a 2" fender flares from rough country. Someone is selling me this tire and wheels 33x12.5x22 -44 offset. only 400 miles on it. Thanks and god bless you! Job well done!

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  28 дней назад

      Thanks a lot bro!!! That’s a good fine with only 400 miles! With the -44 offset you will probably require trimming very similar to mine. You’re a little higher on the lift so that should help some.
      I have had a lot of issues with the tires, they’re hard to keep balanced. They’re doing good right now after being “road force balanced”. Good thing is that they are very quiet on the road! These are Predator New Mutant All Terrains also 33x12.5x22. Let me know how it goes!! Thanks for the comment! #motivationcrew

    Your ride cold brah!!!
    Got a question. I’m thinking about getting some 20x10 -25 offset tis 544. I have a leveled ford on 33x11.50ish (295-55-20) will it still run? I really don’t want to cut but if I have to I will. They be taxing to do all that. But thanks for the video.

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks a lot bro!!
      That will help a sick set up!! But yes you will definitely have to trim and it will be about the same as mine. That -25 offset is wider than my setup, but the tire is slightly slimmer. What year is your truck? If it’s a new gen truck you might be good since the crash bars are wider.
      Thanks for the comment!!

      These are 10 wides. 22x10. It’s really based on the wheel offset. Mine are -18 anything past -1 I believe might run into figment issues and need to trim

    I just bought same size but in a Mud tire. My wheel has no offset and i dont poke out, so i bought some Mammouth 2inch wheel spacers. I think its gonna make me rub and i have no idea who to take it to and get a quality crash bar cut job like you did....

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  2 года назад +2

      Sup bro!! Yeah you’re gonna have to trim probably about the same amount as I did. Any wheel and tire shop should be able to take care of it. You could also consider doing the crash bar trimming yourself with a Sawzall with a metal blade. I originally planned to be ran out of time.

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  Год назад

      For an Excursion, I would suggest either a 33x12.5 or 35x12.5. I don’t think Excursions came with crash bars so if you have any fitment issues, it should be minimal. Definitely check out the gallery on Custom Offsets and see what others have done on their excursions. Question???? 🤔 Do you think you would have to trim or have rub if you put a 3 inch level on it???

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  Год назад +1

      Yes, still would have to trim, atleast with this wheel and tire setup due to the wheel’s offset of -18.
      And that would only be 1/2inch taller. Going with a 4 or 6 inch lift would minimize the trimming due to more clearance, but would still have to trim some. I hope this helps

    • @MeAndCarKeys
      @MeAndCarKeys  2 года назад +1

      Thanks a lot!! It all depends on the wheels offset. My wheels have a -18 offset so I had to trim a lot. If you stick close to a 0 offset and 33s you should be fine, but they won’t poke out. It all depends on the look you’re going for.

      If you add 2.5 to the front of a 4wd you will have much less trimming than if you lift a Rwd the same amount like this one as it is higher from the factory. 33's will fit fine depending on offset. And even then, trimming should solely be front crash bars.
