It’s made such a difference since we had it installed, last summer the van got up to 44 degrees, since having this in place it hasn’t gone anywhere near that! Is there a possibility for having one installed in yours?
Hello dears. Wannabe vandweller here. Your channel was recommended by a very nice young man named Darren from The Urban Motorhome. Your van is looking good and quite brilliant! Good luck for the future! 👌🏴🇮🇪🙋🙏
Hey, thanks so much for popping over! Like we said in the video, it may not be as glamorous as some you see on here, but it’s our home and well lived in :) we love it and it works for us. We can’t wait for this year as we can finally use it to start adventuring, as the previous couple of years we’ve both been working hard in one location. That’s not what Vanlifes meant to be is it! :)
Love your tour. I subscribed. I can't wait to see your cats home. Great job.i am a single female with a Persian whom I love. He has gotten out once but came back all bured up. He was a mess. But made it home. Scary I didn't even know he slipped out. Great job on the build.
Hey Donna! Thanks so much for subscribing :) if you have a look on our channel, there’s some videos all about Tacos area and how we introduced him to the van :) That sounds so scary!! I’m glad he’s back in safe hands! :)
Hello! Another one sent here by Darran! Your van looks really well laid out. The kitchen area is very neat. I look forward to following your adventures!
Thanks so much! There’s been niggles along the way, and we’re constantly changing something, but it’s been our home for two years and works for us! Hopefully it can deal with all the adventures we have planned for this year too :)
Hey, thanks so much for popping by :) We’ve got lots of exciting adventures and videos planned for this year, so hopefully you enjoy the videos! If you’re at any festivals this year then make sure you pop over and say hi :)
Thank you for showing us around your home. Y'all have an awesome setup. I'll definitely be tuning in to see your adventures and to watch Taco grow. What a handsome boy he is :-).
Hi guys, nice vlog. My van was also done by Roughtown Raptors and what a fantastic job he did. Can I ask where you got your blinds from? Looking forward to your next vid. Stay safe.
Oh awesome, what colour did you go for? Shane was awesome! We would highly recommend him to anyone :) The blinds are from a company called 'Wanderbug' here's a link: wanderbug.co.uk Hope that helps :)
Heyyy, thanks so much! Yea we’re really pleased with the tiles actually, they’re super easy to keep clean and somehow have lasted life on the road :) Taco seems to be loving Vanlife, we have a couple of videos coming out soon about the changes we made to the van for him, and then about how he’s adapted to Vanlife over the last couple of months. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them :) x
Thanks for sharing your home with us. Youve got a nice home on wheels. Plenty storage, shower, toilet & kitchen what more do you need. I like your fridge, im not keen on chest ones cos cant c whats in very bottom. Stay safe on your travels.
Hey Toby! Glad you like Taco, there will be more videos based around him coming up :) I’m not actually sure of the brand, as we had them fitted by Oaktree Motorhomes, but il find out and get back to you. It’s a single 600w panel though :)
Venus, did you ever film or document the process of purchasing the van and doing it up? Would have loved to see it from day 1 and how you went about transforming it! I do keep an eye out for you on the road, but you're too stealthy now 😂 great beard btw you handsome devil. Keep at it mateeeee ❤
Hey Dan! We should have, but we didn’t! It’s been a culmination of a couple of years of doing bits here and there, but we’re pretty happy with it at the point it’s at now! We’re about, I’m sure you’ll see us around :) hope you’re doing well and everything’s good with the fam!
@@Thenomadpurr oh man that would have been awesome to see, like the condition of the van when you got it and all the work it needed doing etc. crazy though to think you've been living in it now for this long! Hopefully haha, I do see your posts about being up on the gap. I'm sure I'll pass you soon haha! All good bro, keep up the good stuff my guy! Hope all is well with yourself, Amy and taco 😎
Absolutely love your home! My only question is about the weight. I'm looking for an already converted van to buy, but it seems difficult to stay within the weight limit when considering all the appliances, tanks, heaters, etc. I've had to turn down several vans because they often exceed 3,200-3,300 kg even before considering full tanks, personal items, and my own weight. If I wanted to add a Delta Pro, that's another 30 kg, and solar panels add weight too should I want to upgrade. It’s a bit confusing because, from watching your videos, you seem to manage fine with two people, and I'm alone!
Weight always seems to be an issue, and we did have a lot of dilemmas when we first bought it as we were pretty naive! We had to rip a lot of cupboards out and change other parts of the van to get t the e weight back down. That said we’re not sitting at bang on 3.4, with the two of us and full tanks. It’d be nice to uprate the van, but unfortunately for us that would also mean taking a bigger licence.
@@Thenomadpurr thank you for your reply, so what would you say would be reasonable weight after conversion to accommodate full time living? I mean those vans I've viewed they were like 3200-3300. 200 kg is not enough for a person, full tanks, additional power and belongings as well as normal items one needs. I feel helpless and just don't get how people are doing it.
@@freespirit5944 Realistically, I think you need to be looking for one in the 3000 - 3100kg range, but don't worry it's more than doable and you will find the right one!
hi you guys, im loving your channel and im making my way through your videos, im loving the paint job and the colour of the van how much did it cost to do if you dont mind me asking???? cheers craig
Hey Craig! Thats amazing news, thanks so much :) The Raptor paint coat £2700 for everything, that included dent removal and rust treatment, all plastics and wheels painted in black Raptor, then the insides of all the doors and door shuts painted too :) We looked into various options and Raptor seemed the best middle ground :)
@@Thenomadpurr thats not to bad then as that seems a lot of work involved, does the paint hold and attract the dirt with it being textured at all???? and where abouts in the uk did you have it done??? and how long did it take from start to finish??? im sorry for all the questions im just really interested
Yep it was a full strip down, we actually found Shane via RUclips who done it for us, he filmed the full procedure. ruclips.net/video/3OqSBUplq44/видео.html We've only washed the van a handful of times since having it painted which was a year and a half ago. Shane did it in Manchester and he had it for 3 weeks :)
I’m wishing I had some sort of skylight over my bed. Great video!

There's definitely highs and lows, but we love living in the van overall. There's so much more freedom isn't there!
@@Thenomadpurr definitely I'd be back living the life if it wasn't for the wife lol

Tucked away somewhere safe ;) longer term I will stash a few bits in the back so I can get the rods out when we’re somewhere nice :)
