I use this trick all the time- it's a ridiculously quick way to add some randomness/realism to your scene/objects.
Didn't do an extended version this time, because it's basically just the first 20 seconds over and over! - Кино
I shall 3D scan myself and use the musgrave so I can finally see what I look like as raisin. It is time.
Finally technology has caught up to our dreams.
You could just wait a few years, but I guess musgrave is faster.
@@yondaime500 Don't live your life expecting tomorrow to come
@@yondaime500 i really dont think its faster, considering the photoscanning time :/
#brandnewsentence
just a tip. if you change musgrave to 4D than you dont need mapping node. there will be W value that acts the same way.
Hah!!! I really wish I knew that an hour ago, Haha
@@IanHubert2 You did this an hour ago??!!! CG maestro
@@IanHubert2 Do you edit these videos on the Blender editor too?
@@nonamedpleb good question! I would. But Ian talked about Adobe some days ago...
So Ian do you?
@@IanHubert2 To be honest, I was thinking that there was a reason you did it that way and I'm gonna get educated on how its better that way. I'm really happy that I actually helped :D
Further tip: If you add two keyframes to a property and then hit "Shift + E > Linear Extrapolation," it will continue to animate that value at the same rate for the rest of the animation, making it really easy to add continuous effects.
Hey, u also do cool tutorials and love skrillex 😁
OH WHAT!? DUDE. That's crazy useful, thanks!
This is godly, holy shit... Thank you!!
@@SoundPeaks Thanks! Don't know where the Skrillex thing came from, but glad you like my videos 🙂
I’ve only used blender once but I love watching these. That’s why the “lazy tutorials” are genius, compact enough for the average person to find it entertaining while being in depth enough for learning new tricks and tips
What's holding you back? Go make some wrinkly raisins!
Go delete your first cube!
yeah, just watching so many things being made with such simple processes is very encouraging.
An important lesson common to all of them is that they teach you not to overthink but add detail and effect via simple and smart tricks
did God just spend 5 minutes watching your videos and proceeded to make the entire universe in about 15 minutes as well.
That's why there are so many goddamn moths everywhere
@@jasonwillows5239 i' just addz to the realism
We live in a simulation made entirely inside the Blender nodes.
That node is arguably the most useful note in blender in terms of quick creation, I use it mostly to add some grunge and surface inperfection to stuff
Love ur tutorials too @Ducky 3D
1 minute and 4 seconds for a tutorial that is actually 4 tutorials... This is getting out of control
He will soon reach a tutorial a second
@@bitslay lol
@@bitslay At projected growth rates we will reach a tutorial singularity no later than 2022.
I had only used it for the waves... now the possibilities are endless 🤯
I finally understand what your Instagram post was about
i dont even do 3d art, i just watch ian because his are fun lol
cloi me too but this is so inspiring!
Need you for a Game Jam.
When quarantine ends, I hope you'll get to be on Corridor Digital's VFX Reacts series! Or collab on something with them at least. :D
I hope so
OMFG YES I NEED THIS
omg i want this
Peter will piss his pants
He already went
Instructions unclear. My default cube looks like a grape.
put an elevator door in it!
You actually succeeded, add moths.
or, y'know, just make it blurry
make it wrinklyyy!!
Nice one Ian, as always, *raisin* our Blender knowledge one minute at a time.
So simple and yet so effective. Nodes are incredible. Blender is awesome.
Everything Nodes is going to be amazing!
Confusing as heck when you first get into them, but astonishingly powerful.
@@steprockmedia still wrapping my head around it. results speak for themselves.
I’m glad that technology has finally caught up to your dream of cg raisins
lol
Breaking news: the pope reveals the missing page from the bible was about how he created everything from musgrave nodes
I’m living for those tutorials
I can't believed after 1 week of watching all your videos and researching and practice...
I can make a realistic garden..
With moths.
Imagin this guy make a 3 hours masterclass , enought to explain all in blender
I love this channel because it appeals to my attention span.
This guy has an addiction to the UV editor
I think if we removed it, he would actually go insane
Goddamn it's incredible how much genuine learning you can cram into a minute-long video Ian!
I really needed this about a week ago. Generated coordinates always look bad, but in a lot of cases I need them.
Who knew we needed a tutorial on raisens?! its not the tutorial we wanted, but the one we needed!
Ian is the best thing that has ever happened to the internet.
Wow! this was actually more helpful than many 15 minute tutorials that I've seen also it's amusing. Nice job!
My very first patreon and Ian Hubert has that honour :)
I wish every blender tutorial was this concise
Dude! Never stop with your videos!!!!!! They’re too good!
Please please keep making these learning so much everytime you throw something I don’t understand I can just google it then get right back to it!
You always manage to keep my attention and keep your videos entertaining. Even if you did 5 min, 10 min, 20 min videos you have that natural charisma that keeps me yearning to learn more from you. I retain more info from your tutorials than I have in other blender tutorials. Keep up the amazing job!
Your tutorials got me into Blender recently - it's been a new a learn-i-nating experience! Thanks :D
Big thanks Ian for making 3D fun for me again! Your tutorial told me that I don't have to craft perfect hi-res sculpt with perfect geometry everytime I making a scene (It's so stressful just thinking about that experience, really) There's more to 3D art than a perfect topology and spotless render...
i'll keep learning the basics so i can fully understand all of your videos.
holy guakomole! where have you been all my life??? those tutorials are golden!!!!!!!!!
That was the best 5 second raisin texturing tutorial I've ever seen! And about 3-4 of those seconds were the slowly narrated title. Amazing!
@IanHubert, your videos are pure gold.
I'm a 2D art kinda guy, I draw and I'm perfectly happy with that. I'm not even slightly interested in working with blender. But your tutorials are a great way to get a basic idea of how the process for working with blender can go and it's interesting to see. Add to that them being both short and fun to watch and you've got me watching most of them.
Good video, I learned that raisins.
Tried grease pencil? 2D animation in blender.
You are an absolute treasure of a human, Ian!
I don't even know how to use blender, but I started follow this channel just because of the practicality and simplicity that shows, good for stimulating creativity, note 1000000!!!!
Well, i was ignorant on the potential of musgrave texture for years. I'm using it now and i'm blown away
Well MAN, I just watched all the episodes of your series DYNAMO, loved it. You have improved so much! You should really advertise it more, or directly post it on your channel. I´ve benn following for a while now Ian, and I just realized about your series. Happy Quarentine and cheers from Spain!
this whole year, I had to bake a high resolution fluid and Ian done it in 5 secs?!
Please, Ian. My mind cannot suffer any more blowing.
Someone said I should collaborate with you after they saw my science fiction movie set. This is some top tier content mate, love it
my favorite raisin tutorial
YIII BOIIII, Ian Hubert is easily the most interesting, original, funny AND informative teacher out there. So happy to know this exists. I think I might even make a patreon account just to throw monies at him
Jesus christ ian, another 10/10
Even though I don't know what's going on most of the time in your videos they're a real joy to watch and listen to 👍
I don't do CG. I don't even read the titles of the videos. But when I see a new vid, I CLICK!!
Add some moths, the realism will go crazy, maybe more realistic than the reality itself, and that's because MOTHS ADD REALISM TO ANYTHING
moths and warbles? it's too powerful...
I've learned more from the lazy tutorials than from those 50 minutes tutorials xD
I was actually looking for a way to get raisins in my project. This saved me a lot of unnecessary effort, cheers!
bruh ive never enjoyed lerning anything before. these are great stuff
That pinned post convinced me to join Patreon for the first time. I joined the $7 tier but there's also a $3 tier.
You never fail to deliver. I join your Patreon to support these amazing tut keep up the great work
I have searched the internets high and low and FINALLY, a tutorial to make raisins!
RUclips’s be like: 10 min of nonsense to make money
This guy: what’s money?
So good the ratio doesn't even trigger me like usual
Just discovered Blender world and this guy. He's my new god now.
This guy made me install Blender. Absolute mad lad. Love your Lazy tutorials, Man!
Hey! can you do something with grease pencil?
Wow! I used these tips to keyframe some undulating wavy raisins! Thanks!
Hey ian,
Don't said that your video as a lazy tutorial man, that is a crazy tutorial,i like and learn lot from your videos...Thank you for a valuable videos brother...
You always upload when im least expecting it :P
you are pure gold. surrounded by moths.
The same style of tutorials as I do, can not not love this 💘
ayy its finished! I heard you alude to this yesterday over on the Blender channel. Excellent work, very informative and funny. tysm!
Add that to my lazy arsenal of "stuff to throw in a scene that no one ever questions because it just looks good".
The musgrave texture was only made for raisins, it was just good luck that led people to figuring out other uses
Awesome as always! Can't express how much I love these videos, fun and informative. Keep being awesome!
Definitely *raisin'* the bar with these tutorials
Thank you for existing.
Blender GOD of Instant is back!
mandatory comment to boost your video interaction rate cause you deserve it
You're doing god's work man
Awesome as expected Ian
I don't even use Blender but these Lazy tutorials are a goddamn masterpiece
MY WORD!
ITS A TUTORIAL FOR RAISINS!
god has returned to this mortal realm to bless us with lazy raisins
there truly is no better life to live than this
plz keep doing these in skinny aspect ratio, they fit well on second monitor, its zoomed in so you can read ur screen, while i copy your work.
i thought u did that on purpose at first until i heard u on a podcast XD
thank you tho , you made all my work come to life
I just finished binge watching (not netflix) your first tutorials, including the unedited/extended to this one. It took a day, but learned a lot. thank you :D and yeah, your voice is so funny with the playback speed on .5 or .75 haha
Love your vids Ian. Please keep them coming.
even Flash from DC has to pause Ian's tutorial now and then to get it all in.
Simplicity and raisins are the stuff of life.
I just got into blender and have been trying to learn raisins for a while now, and this really helped. Perhaps you could do a second channel for raisins?
I am emotionally touched.
Thanks to you, this was something that i've figured out myself before your tutorial!
Another amazing lesson my friend
MAN!!! YOU'VE BEEN MY SENSEI...... Let me get some money with my art and then il come back fot the PATREON.. I GOT YOU. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
These short tutorials are awesome!))))) I Like it!
To be honest: Ian Hubert is the Andrew Kramer of Blender. But more consistent with his tutorials :P
I am just starting with learning all this stuff and nodes are still and unknown valley to me. Your tutorials are great and I am looking forward to your patreon content as soon as I have subscibed!
A great inspiration for the entire (blender) cg community
Great!
I needed that.
I love the simple way to get water moving.
I always did it the wrong way.
Danke Ian!
Greetings from
Germany, Europe, Earth
I just figured out you were the special effects guy for Prospect. Fantastic movie!
Could you Musgrave my life Mr. Ian?
What the heck am I talking about? I need *RAISINS!*
"click on the node and the keyframes will show up" WHY the hell i didnt knew this earlier... thx man :D
I use C4D but i'm in love with your lazy tutorial.... someday i'll test blender it's insane to watch how it work. Thanks a lot!
same for me. we need a c4d version of andrew and ian. ian's tuts are still the best and awesome
QuackerJack09 Clearly!
I'm going to go on blender and make a bowl of raisins.
Thank you.
This is what my lockdown needs.
Incredible such a little thing that makes a big difference, thank you!
Watching an Ian Hubert tutorial is like plugging yourself into the Matrix and learning karate in 5 seconds. Except instead of dope flykicks you can make dope flyers in blender.
This is a wealth of knowledge in 1 minute. Thank you for sharing! Great video!!
cant believe this guy made a node tutorial without showing us the full node tree
