I bought Nemesis Lockdown recently, time to wait for this one, which looks incredible! Retaliation reminds me of a mix between Nemesis for the universe, Deep Madness for the oxygen, Subterra for the discovery of the map and Zombicide for the horde, with a little touch of Space crusade ! Is this the perfect Game ? I realy love your vidéos quality 🤩
That’s a very interesting comment. Those other games are all among my favorites. So if this somehow combines them in a fun way, it will definitely be a winner. I have the original Nemesis and it’s one of my favorite games so I have high hopes!

Some nice ideas in this, but also a lot of remixing the same. The alien miniatures are problematic. They just don't pop like in the original and they don't convey the Alien feeling. "Nemesis Lockdown" fell flat for me because the alien miniature designs came out pretty bad in it. (Well, and because it was basically the same game like the original but worse and more complex and weird and more expensive.) The original Intruders and Void Seeders miniatures are so much better. Maybe you should go back to those to figure out how it could be done better for "Nemesis Retaliation". The alien queen miniature here doesn't fit at all, it should not have humanoid shape!
Yeah because player went on crying that minis are too small and then they decided to make the characters bigger without raising the games costs... What a fail.
much better than original nemesis huge plastic figures covering entire tiles just for the sake of being "big" and not in scale compared to hero minis. Now it's actually practical, instead of being typical kickstarter like big plastic boardgame
The magazine symbol, is supposed to cause damage to the weapon and triggers the rejection of ammunition during gameplay. Although it is important to keep in mind that this is a prototype and still some small details, names or less important rules are still being modified and may change in the final game.

Well… The extant Alien species Nemesis already has had covered most typical archetypes we know from pop culture. This one definitely stands out from the rest, which is better than having another queen that’s a derivative of the ones already seen in the game.
I mean, in the original Nemesis, usually you did not have to place many aliens in the same space. In Retaliation, you would have to do that quite often, so it would be hard to place many large minies in the same room. That's probably why they made them smaller.

The player board is a great quality-of-life improvement, making the game setup so much simpler and easy to explain.

Interesting changes, some seems like improvements, some less so. Quite different from original game or Lockdown.

The good thing, the previous aliens should be compatible.
I mean, in the original Nemesis, usually you did not have to place many aliens in the same space. In Retaliation, you would have to do that quite often, so it would be hard to place many large minies in the same room. That's probably why they made them smaller.
