The piece that fell off was the magnet that helps collect metal shaving it looked like you didn't put it back on and next time always punch a hole in the bottom of the filter so it can drain, less mess when taking the filter off. you do not have to add fluid to that filter.

How many miles is a half truck and you still own it? If you sold it how many miles do they have when you sold it? Does it have Eton fuller transmission or Allison?

With the engine on and truck in park go to Neutral, Park ,neutral ,park neutral, park and the check trans oil filter light will go off …
The transmission also has an internal filter that needs to be changed. You have to drop the pan

You can change it but you do not have to, that filter is suppose to be good for like 1million miles and change during a transmission overhaul. His truck barely has over 280k miles it's still a almost like new ;)

No we haven't had any engine problems.
How long did you take before changing the filter ?because mine just showed up yesterday and I have to order the parts for it it will arrive Monday
We drove a few days before we were able to change it.

No we got it from the international dealer just to make sure we were getting the right kind.

Guys can you plz tell me how far can you drive once that light comes on. I'm stuck 90 miles away from Albuquerque on a truck stop. Kinda afraid to drive that far.

for this particular tranny there's no drain plug? Just drain it through the filter?
Yes, it has a drain plug as well. It takes about 5 gallons of transmission fluid. When we took it to be serviced we were told they don't drain all the fluid out because it will "shock the system". Now how true that is idk. So now we just change the filter and add fluid as needed. Now if the fluid starts to look too dark we will put all new fluid.

Yes we just did. It has 2
@@TruckinginJs thanks I just called the international truck dealer and they said it holds 3 batteries lol I have a 2015 international 4300.🤷🏾♂️
There is room for 3 but there were only 2 in there to replace.

changed my filter light still came on
The truck is going to do that because it is set up by how many miles you drive. No matter if you changed the filter before it came on. If you recently changed it, just reset it like we did and you good to go.
I did do that with the shifter the way you did, but it styill comes on and i lose power all the time. Will try again, thanks for getting back to me.
