Homemade Axial Jet Engine Part7 - Pressing Bearings and Burners Fail!

- Been a while making this as a simple task that should have taken half an hour max took days as I broke the front bearings support and snapped a bearing in half somehow as I did not have the correct size for an interference fit. After lots of freehand milling and drilling, I got it to fit well and assembled the front bearings and burners pressed into place.

Proof that not everybody can write interesting music
What methods of bearing cooling have you considered? I think bearing failure happens quickly in high speed applications. Ceramic bearings are slightly better but I have no idea cost difference.
(Also I sense an Alice in chain-esqe influence, maybe a little trans Siberian touch...is it you playing your own music?)
i had no real bearing cooling only a constant oil flow to try and reduce some heat but they are sunk into large bits of metal with heat sheilds so should last for a small duration of time and yes ceramic bearings would have been significantly better but at around $50 per bearing would have cost more for 3 bearings than the overall materials for the whole engine! and as a school project would have not be economically viable. and no not my own music unfortunatly just some copyright free stuff!
@@mikeylt999 well spot on! Keep up the great work, I check often on your progress. It's really cool, and I am looking forward to seeing you work on it!
@@carrcohol i have welded up some mounts in the last week and so close to seeing this thing run/explode haha!
Verry nice Creative bosss sukses
