@@yassinibrahim5616 I disagree, the Whopper tastes like you cooked a burger the grill out back and has lettuce+tomato as well as a better bun. The Quarter Pounder only has onions and pickles and is cooked on a basic flat top. I've worked for both places in my teens through young adult years as cooks at both (first was McDonald's for two years and Burger King for a year after that during college) and have had many of both burgers and the Whopper just tastes better and it's not even close. Both are frozen patties but the flames of the broiler bring out a lot more flavor than cooking Quarter Pounders even if you have a bit of oil and diced onions on the flat top to make the patties taste better.
Obviously grilling burgers on a charcoal grill will taste far better than each but if I had to pick one or the other I'd take the Whopper 90% of the time (unless I have the rare McDonald's craving).
Still, if I get McDonald's I generally pick their Big Mac the majority of the time as I like to at least have lettuce on my burgers and prefer the sesame seed bun.
Why? I don't understand everyone's hate for McDonald's. It might not have the flame-broiled flavor of the whopper but it's usually a wet and moist mouthfeel, whereas McD's the patty is actually crispier.
I agree McD's is better.

I’ve got to disagree with you Matt, in my opinion BK are far tastier burgers than Maccy D’s, they’re more filling too! But I guess everyone has their own taste preference!

The BK buns are terrible, but agree burgers are much better even with the fresh quarter pounder.

I find the QP from Mac Donald’s quite dry, never mind the DQP which is even dryer, triple cheese burgers hit different, but Burger King is deffo better, miss their angry angus burgers
That's why you customise it and add extra ketchup, mustard and lettuce if you want it.
I find the whopper too wet. They're just different burgers. One is just a cheeseburger and the other one is a california burger. So to me, neither are better than the other, it's just whatever I'm in the mood for.
A direct comparison to a double whopper isn't the double Big Tasty from McDonald's?

Definitely BK over McDonald's. I use to love McDonald's but I don't know what they've done but it doesn't taste the same as it use it.
You got older most likely. I'm 48 and when I was a kid nothing beat McDonald's but these days it tastes very fake to me to the point that I only visit a McDonald's once a year for nostalgic purposes. Burger King's burgers taste like they were grilled out back and that is fundamentally what I prefer for burgers.

Sorry but burger king is way better. The salad is fresher. The presentation is better also. After eating maccys your hungry again in an hour. Burger king actually fills you up. I've always been a maccys goer. But just recently started going BK as it's close to work. And oh my god sooooo much better

Need to get the double quarter pounder Deluxe coz the toppings are the same. Also, the patties from both places should weight the same. And the buns are also the same amount of bread, just BK uses a flatter and wider bun than McDonald’s

In general I think burger kings burgers are better in terms of taste and size, however I generally go to McDonald’s due to the price (probably what people people think and do).

Mcdonalds answer to the Whopper is the Big Tasty, not the Quarterpoundr. But anyway, Whopper beatrs all maccies.
I found that McDonalds are more consistent in different restaurants across the country but there are sum poorly run BK's out there.
Burger King grill the burgers then out them on hold until ordered, then the burger and the bottom bun are re-heated in a microwave.

Man keeps seeing wasps. I've seen just one all summer. I also prefer the combo of onions, must-ketchup and pickle that comes with the maccies QP. Thing with these places putting salad in a burger, there's no point when it tends to be limp and far from fresh usually.

They are both bland. The meat is plain on both burgers. The only decent thing is the mayo and salad. These are only decent after a few pints

The QP is legendary. The Whopper is a back yard burger. Both are 🔥. Depends on what mood I’m in.
I like the Whopper because of the flame grilled taste, can't really beat that when it comes to burgers.

The double quarter pounder with cheese is juicier. The meat is warmer Only thing is after I eat it for some reason I kind of get a headache. I don’t know why I when I eat Burger King I feel good I don’t even know if that makes sense? Why won’t these fast food places make their own fresh bread buns that’s what all consistent fast foods have a problem with 8 out of 10 times I get a old bun at all the fast food restaurants when I’m ordering a burger and it pisses me off because I’m already spending a lot of money and the bread almost always old that includes Inn n out too old buns!

While I like the flame grilled taste at Burger King, when compared with the new fresher quarter pound patties from McDonald’s, there is no contest. With the old patties, Burger King was better.

Neither are great to be honest but I've worked in both many years ago and McDonald's is much better prepared and burgers were cooked then assembled and kept in hot counter and slung away after about 20-30 mins if not sold. BK burgers were (at least where I worked) pre cooked then reheated in microwave. And when I say pre cooked I don't necessarily mean on that day.
Holding time in McDonald's for all sandwiches was 10 minutes, 6 minutes for fries, 1.5hrs for apple pies. I did my time when I left school as crew, training squad, floor manager and assistant manager.

Nah. Quarter Pounder and Whopper are more similar. Big Tasty would be a better comparison but ofc it isn't around all year.

Double Whopper for me stands up against any burger from almost anywhere. McDonald's are pretend burgers in comparison. I do like a Big Mac, but it can't touch a Whopper.

It’s not a fair test. Whopper patty is thin. Buy a Angus burger from Burger King it will be as thick as the quarter pounder. And what you should do is get a double Angus burger v a double quarter cheeseburger.. Burger King hands down will smash that burger.

He tasting buds must dysfunctional. First I don't think McDonald grill the burger onsite. Burger King I think they do. Second: the bun is sugary from McDonald not like Burger King don't. When you passed Burger King you can smell the grilling of the burger but not McDonald. McDonald burger I think it gets heated up in some kind of special heating shelves. I think you been brought up on freezer food mate
You know nothing. All Maccy's meat comes in frozen and is cooked onsite. Burger King do flame grill their meat but it then goes into a warm cabinet and sits there until needed. If it's a slow day that could be several hours. It's then assembled to order and microwaved to heat it up. There are no microwave's in a Maccy Dee's kitchen.

At the end of the day: both burgers are fast food. At least with the McDonald's burger you're eating less of a meal but so you can slim down and still enjoy the taste.
I *will* say this though: the two countries of England and Australia are very different - the Australian Quarter Pounder tastes better than the English Quarter Pounder. The Whopper in Australia/America is about equal to that of the one served in England.

Love me a Burger King but it’s expensive :(
Yeah, was $7.50 or something for a basic Whopper (no cheese) combo, McDonald's is about just as bad. Back in the 80's you could eat at either for a couple bucks but now it's at least TRIPLE the price and last I checked wages haven't went up anywhere near that much. It's at the point where I only eat out once every week or two because it's just so much cheaper to cook/eat at home.
You can grill burgers in your backyard and top them with pickles, mustard, ketchup, lettuce/tomato, mayo, etc and they are just as good (if not better) but cost less than half the price tops.

I stopped going to bk after I saw them microwaving my order. They had a big container of burgers and just microwaved them.
That's how they roll. They may be flame grilled but they are then left in a hot cabinet and assembled to order where they are nuked to "refresh" them. A good way to get food poisoning.
