I've always said that I preferred a good Burger King over a McDonalds, but its just really hard to find a good Burger King.
Facts they just dont have that same taste from years ago
…lol they all literally taste exactly the same. McDonalds fries are better, but Burger Kings burgers are miles better.
This is the best way to put it honestly. The best Burger King will usually beat the best McDonald's but it's so rare to find a Burger King of that quality. You know what you're going to get at any McDonald's location. Can't say the same at all for BK.
Exactly, I got blessed there’s a good BK like 10 mins from me i’ll choose over the McDonalds 5 mins from me
It's impossible.
without the $1 Whopper during the '90s, while going to college, I might have starved to death. I was on my own at the time, and that $1 Burger was incredible
There were Whoppers for a dollar in the 90s?
That was my first thought also. I was working full-time Job all day pickup just $1 whopper from BK on the way to college for night classes pretty much everyday.
The 1$ dbl cheeseburger for me through 2007-2009
Went to college yet didn't think to buy rice, the cheapest bulk food item ever.
@@Troglodytarum yep did think of that. I also only went to community College and only get a trade certificate of mastery no fancy associates degree. I even payed my own way no loans no parents money no government hand out.
I remember around the time the Burger King app dropped, they had a promotion to get a whopper for a penny, but the kicker was you had to order within 600ft of a McDonalds 😂
The Burger King and McDonald's were next to each other on my college campus. It was fun.
That's hilarious
@@KartKing4everI’m surprised that store didn’t go bankrupt unless it did
@@altnap The kicker was the app never worked from inside the restaurant, at least for me. I don't know if they blocked it or of the servers were overloaded or what, but it never worked for me beside maybe one time ever.
@@KartKing4ever lmao I bet the owners of that franchise hated bk corporate for that.
I have fond memories of me and my college buddies all getting drunk and wandering into a Burger King and ordering McDonalds menu items. The BK staff didn’t even bat an eyelash, they just made the BK items that were roughly equivalent to McD’s items and sold them to us. Being drunk we all thought it was hilarious. Good times.
Cool story, that’s hilarious.
This is actually funny.
Business takes your money that only thing that matters money money talk
That's prolly one of the funniest comments on youtube 😂
Too bad we dont have PC-incorrect comedians like the character-actor Foster Brooks, who played a 24/7 drunk. That would have made a hilarious parody commericial on a comedy variety show, back when BK‘s slogan was… “Have it your way”. :D
It's such a shame that the McWhopper never happened. It feels like such a missed opportunity that could've been genuinely cool and good for everyone.
Also the McWeiner would have been a hit if McDonald's sold hotdogs
WE COULD'VE GOTTEN THE GREATEST ANIME CROSSOVER IN HISTORY AND MICKEYD'S SAID NO!? WHY!?
@@phantomninjaplays1837 cuz they kunts
the Irish prefix "Mc" means "son of," which would imply that the McWhopper would have been smaller than the Whopper, and BK already had the son of the Whopper covered with the Whopper Jr.
Such a shame honestly :(
I love Burger King's taste, finding a good burger King is like finding a good Wendy's. It's a golden treasure... problem is a lot of Burger Kings are old, outdated, grungy and full of disgruntled underpaid employees who don't gaf about your order and serve bad food. Also in the last couple years the taste of McDonald's burgers has really improved.
A tale of 2 joints,
The nearest food place to my house is a Burger King. I've stopped going there because I just can't consistently get a good experience, there's always something wrong, something out of stock, something lacking. Doesn't matter crew or volume.
A few miles away is a McDonald's that's always busy, but the food is always hot, they have amazing thruput, and it's quick.
especially the double quarter pounder 🤤
You're a thousand percent correct.
Wow. Try eating sone decent food you halfwit.
@@markfox1545 I enjoy my fast food the way you enjoy your spellcheck.
I was actually a teenager working at BK during the Big King and New Fries year. They actually had a lot of different products all the time.
The grilled chicken sandwich back then was 🔥.
I had a Big King at BK and was decently surprised at how fresh it was and the fries were ACTUALLY HOT and FRESH, Mcdonalds just has this microwaved smelly sock taste undertone that drives me away, and they never salt their fries, when they do- they put the whole salt shaker on top like some soggy salty mess. With any fast food it comes down to management and cleanliness & varies from location to location. I think it would be a real shame to see BK close down.
At one time I liked going to both McDonald’s and Burger King, but that has changed. About 3 or 4 years ago I went into Burger King and 3 different locations. Two near my workplace and one near home. The quality of the food, the attitude of the employees and even the cleanliness of the locations were abysmal. After having multiple locations gone down in quality over all, I have never set foot in a Burger King since. I am surprised that after all that I experienced that Wendy’s hasn’t gotten into the #2 spot.
My experience is the exact opposite; the BKs near me are the only fast food places in my area that seem to give a damn
@@LordSluggo I totally get that. I’m sure if it was a different fast food place that did not care in multiple locations I would have the same feeling about not wanting to patronize.
That was me yesterday, with Taco Hell and Wendy's.
Part of the problem is that Wendy's isn't much better, at least in my area. There's one "good Wendy's" (across the street from an Amazon warehouse, amusingly...at least the folks who work in those abysmal conditions get something good for lunch.) The one near my apartment is _guaranteed_ to get the order wrong, sometimes in small details ("I said 'no mayo', dammit") and other times in large details (they got crossed off my Doordash rotation during the pandemic when they went 0-for-4 on consecutive orders for getting the items right.)
They completely missed the opportunity to step into the niche.
I went it BK today and spent my entire wait time questioning my life choices. I ordered online and I stll waited almost 10 minutes for my food. At 11:00 am and I was the only one there. Food was not anywhere near as good as it was 30 years ago and I keep forgetting this fact everytime I go there. McDonald's is much better.
The biggest difference between the two has gotta be the consistency. I've tried McDonald's around the world and, regional specialties aside, it's exactly the same. With Burger King, I don't know what I'm getting from restaurants a few blocks away from each other. Some are good, but many more are bad, and that makes me think twice before taking a chance on a BK.
Why should you eat McDonalds around the world when you can eat healthy local food?
Why should you eat McDonalds around the world when you can eat healthy local food?
It's not the same. I've tried french McDonald's and it's different from the US one.
Mcdonalds in Mexico is way better. Same with BK.
McDonalds in Asia is the same as the one in the USA other than some different menu items (Chicken etc.) But BK can vary wildly. In Taiwan BK is better than McD's. The BK I ate at in Saigon was straight trash with a weird side menu for steaks (ultra cheap Asian steaks) and Vietnamese dishes. If you have ever traveled or lived in Asia, you know what I mean by ultra cheap Asian steaks... there are steak houses that sell $3.00-$5.00 steaks with a fried egg and noodles, smothered in either pepper gravy or mushroom gravy. The BK in Saigon had that on the menu. I don't know if it was any good... but the whopper wasn't...and I prefer BK over McD's most of the time. BK Buffalo wings in Taiwan are awesome, and their burgers are just like the US - at good locations.
I love and appreciate your providing the specific years and displaying them onscreen over the course of the timeline. I've noticed few historical RUclipsrs really make an effort to provide the chronological framework or treat it as an aside, when the actual date is so important to understanding events in relation to others occurring at the same time.
I feel like BK fell off super hard. It was really good around 10 years ago and now I rarely have a good experience there. After how awful it was last time we had it, my wife and I called it quits on BK. And we’ve tried several spots too (there’s even a brand new store less than a year old near my house) and it still sucks. It’s sad because I used to love BK.
I went to Burger King yesterday and it was good but I had a chicken Sandwich
@@scrotiedotbiz That's exactly what happened to the Burger King franchise near me. The owner hired exclusively from a local halfway house and didn't treat or pay the people very well. Unsurprisingly, that Burger King turned into a real pit until they finally went out of business. Now we have a single Burger King that's way out at the edge of town, connected to a gas station by the interstate. It's also pretty awful but I think the interstate keeps it going. Pretty crazy for a university town of 100K to only have a single Burger King.
The whopper ain't it hit like it used to. Even with cheese. It's not doing it anymore. Bk gotta renovate their game up.
They are obsessed with a certain demographic, which contributes to the issues noted.
I became a Burger King fan when they promoted their Whoppers at $1 back in the 90's. It was a spectacular deal for my meager college wallet and won me over with the franchise.
I remember the early 2000's with the fries being changed to extra crispy recipe....
Those were the days
You can still get $3 Whoppers on Wednesday
Just curious. Are you actually a "fan" of Burger King?

Interesting rivalry story: In the city I'm from in Venezuela, there was a McDonald's franchise right in front of a Burger King one, literally just across the street. Due to the economic situation in the country, there was a time in which McDonald's could not offer their french fries, so they started selling fried cassava (yuca) instead. Burger King was able to keep selling french fries, and right in front of McDonald's they set up a huge advertisement with a whopper in the middle and lots and lots of french fries falling from above, and it stated something like "Come enjoy a tasty whopper with lots of fries". I know too many people that started going to Burger King just because they kept selling fries.
I remember I heard a story out in Colorado that these McDonald's and Burger King restaurants were across the street from each other. The McDonald's had some employees leave for whatever reason and instead of looking for new hires online, the manager went across the street and literally offered the employees at Burger King jobs and everyone who was on shift agreed and came over to the McDonald's.
The Burger King manager came in a few hours later to see no workers and customers just standing in the store, and eventually found out what happened so he went across the street to the McDonald's and got into a fist fight with the McDonald's manager on shift, who wasn't the McDonald's manager who stole the employees 😂😂😂
I doubt this story is real but it's always made me laugh when I heard it back in 2019 😂

@@Gan596 BK fries have always been terrible
I think the reason the McWhopper never happened was because if you look at the design of the burger, the bottom (whopper) part is drawn much larger than the top (big mac) part, further illustrating the size difference in full view and McDonald's probably thought of that as a backhanded gesture.
I mean it's just a true depiction of a Big Mac and a whopper
plus the ratio between the McDonald's color scheme and Burger King color scheme on the box was way unbalanced, 3/4 of the box is Burger King and only 1/4 of it is Mcdonald's
It's just a publicity stunt. They knew it would never happen. BK trolling McD in marketing to cause drama has always been old cringe.
I think Macdonalds hamburgers taste a little sweet. I prefer the burnt parts on the patty at burger king.
Here in India and even around East Asia, I think BurgerKing is much, MUCH better. Its more affordable, the menu is more diverse and it has nailed the local Indian-style burgers.
You don't have Burger King in India. You guys don't even have indoor toilets. You poop on public streets.
I used to be a Burger King guy and prefered it over both McDonald's and Wendy's. At some point in the 90s, there was a change in their food that I can't put my finger on. I switched to Carl's Jr. and have prefered it ever since.
Lol most of America don’t even know what that is. Terrible comparison.

I have seen that both McDonald's and Burger King tend to do better in some areas overseas in places like Canada and Spain than they do here in the U.S. The food preparation is held to a higher standard because, by law in some places, the meats and ingredients that they use are supposed to be fresh. These fast food chains also adapt to the cultures by supplying customers with food items that can't be found in the U.S.
It's kinda like 7/11 with Japan.
Middle East McDonald’s is the best.
Same thing with KFC. I think most can agree here in America the quality of KFC has been declining for a while but overseas the chain is still booming.
We have standards in Europe
i recently moved to the UK from the US and mcdonalds here is amazing. Back home, mcdonalds would always make me feel so sick, but admitedly I’ve pigged out on mcdonalds pretty frequently for the few months i’ve been here and i dont feel sick at all eating it! 😂 i probably shouldnt eat it that often though still
I've always liked the "Have It Your Way" idea, as I hate mustard, pickles & onions and despise mayonnaise. I remember back in the 1970s how long getting a special order took, so that was a plus for Burger King. I was glad when McDonald's introduced McNuggets, for which I could choose my own sauce. Sometimes I choose Burger King because I'm in the mood for a flame-broiled burger.
I used to work at McDs about 25 years ago. Service was quick but if you wanted something without a certain dressing, they would cook it fresh & the burger was juicy so you could really tell the difference.
Ove the last couple of years this has changed, I think due to online ordering & deliveries. You can order something standard & it still takes 4-5 minutes, so the speed is no longer there. Order something with a missing dressing & you now get a bone dry lukewarm burger, so they seem to be pre-staging them now.
They even served me a regular patty instead of a quarter pound burger & then argued with me when I pointed this out & asked them to correct it.
They do good milkshakes but for food, I would rather have a packet of crisps.
BKs should take advantage of this but last time I tried one, their burger was dry too.
Dude I ordered a large meal and a large fry. It took forever to get the second fry I ordered because they all, even the manager assumed the large fry on my receipt was from the meal. Do they even know thier own receipts?

I actually love burger king burgers.
I'm always surprised by how unpopular they seem to people.
However I got to say, there stores seem always unclean and/ or really quiet. In london I've sat in my own in an entire Burger King multiple times.
I didn't even get to do that. The BK I went to in London was in an Underground station, so I ate my British Whopper standing at a counter to the right of it. lol
I think Burger King has better burgers but McDonalds has better fries and variety.
@@jdawg8487cleaner, faster as well
@@jdawg8487 disagree with fries i like the crispy fries from BK vairety i agree with
I agree with this 100% as someone who lives in the states. BKs food quality always seems better, but the restaurants them selves never seem that way. (cleanliness, design, service, etc.)
When Herb said “Why ask Why?, Bud Dry”. I cried at that moment.
I remember going to BK as a kid to get crown-shapes nuggets. Those were great.
The Chicken Fries are a whisper of the old nuggets. The new nuggets are totally different.
Growing up, my family mostly went to McDonald's, but I think that gave Burger King a certain mystique as it was more of a rare treat. It also helped that the local Burger King put in a small video arcade around the time that I was starting to outgrow the McDonald's play place. That cemented me as a member of the BK Kids Club for quite awhile (which was an ad campaign that I'm surprised you didn't mention).
Man it's crazy how few people remember those video game computers lol
They had a BK and a McDonald's next door to each other where I grew up (in Jacksonville Fl.) and both had N64s setups. BK had Goldeneye and 4 controllers (all blue) and McDonald's had Donkey Kong 64 with the clear green system and two yellow controllers (even though player 2 was never connected).
So yeah, needless to say, BK won that little war lol
@@shuruff904Lol how dirty n greasy were those controllers tho🤣🤣
The only time I ever went to BK consistently as a kid was when they landed the TMNT deal where you could get a VHS tape with an episode of the show on it with a kids meal. As a huge Turtles fan in 1990, I made sure to get all of those.
@@fergalstackstreams I wonder if there's still an old copy of Sky Turtles somewhere in my parents' basement.
I've had the worst experiences at BK. I'm not saying that they don't happen at MDs, they just happen a lot less. Longer wait times, inattentive staff, dirty restaurants (usually walk out when that happens), incredibly rude staff (also walk out), etc. They seem to have become cheap and desperate, over the last few years.
Always ordered Whopper with cheese from the drive thru. 4x drive down the road, or get home, reach in the bag -- no cheese! But certainly charged for it!
@@charleybarley939 I decided long ago I refuse drive thru ordering. Same with having food delivered to my home. Seems like at least 90% of my f'd up orders happen when I don't order it at the counter. I worked in fast food, hardest part is dealing with rude customers. I never messed up an order, all you have to do is pay attention which is sadly too much to ask of most people.
What’s weird is that I’ve had the exact opposite experience exact for maybe the restaurant being dirty for seeming unclean but that goes for both MacDonald’s and Burger King.
100% agreed
My personal experience with BK here in Las Vegas and Henderson is that they are closed when they are supposed to be open and one time in the morning hours, a BK I went to closed because the computers there where not working and they asked all of the customers to leave as a result. Ugh!
I just remember Burger King being one of my go-to cheap foods that saved my bacon so to speak when I was a poor, starving, minimum wage kid out on his own. They had 39 cent cheeseburgers on Tuesday's, and I would buy like 9 of those and eat them all day long out of a big bag. Those basic cheeseburgers were hella good and even good lukewarm out of the bag. I still stop in occasionally and get Whoppers and fries.
When I was last at Burger King they had these SLAPPP’N cereal milkshakes! Really need to bring those back!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the weird novelty items Burger King has had. Like the Bacon Sundae, Mac N Cheetos, Halloween Whopper, and the Chicken Fries. The advertising campaigns with the King were/are pretty hilarious too.

I like how McDonalds didnt like BKs ads while they were totally ripping off other properties with their McDonald Land and Mac Tonight commercials
By the time McDonalds sued Burger King they’d already lost their lawsuit to Sid and Marty Krofft over McDonaldland being a blatant ripoff of HR Pufnstuf. The Mac Tonight lawsuit didn’t come until several years later in 1989 (in fact the character wasn’t even introduced until 1985, three years after they sued BK).
They also ripped off their most iconic menu item. The "Big Mac" is a copy of the "Big Boy". The "Big Mac" was "invented" by a Pittsburgh area McDonald's franchisee who was likely familiar with the "Big Boy" as Pittsburgh based Eat 'N Park had sold the "Big Boy" for almost 20 years before the "Big Mac" was "invented".

This video makes a lot of sense and gives a lot of logic to opinions I’ve held for a while. I have always felt that McDonald’s is incredibly consistent for the most part, while Burger King has by far the most range of good to bad experiences, depending on which location you go to. There was a long stretch where I refused to eat at Burger King because I had had consistently bad experiences at specific locations. It was only going to one in a different state that made me realize that their food actually tastes good, but that is also where I had the realization about each individual location being a bit of a crapshoot. The fact that they didn’t regulate their franchises for a while explains a lot.

In Finland, we have a national chain called Hesburger that competes against both of these, quite successfully. Like I live in a small city called Kouvola. We have 1 McDonald's, 1 Burger King and 4 Hesburgers. And that probably says something.
(Hesburger has also expanded outside of Finland, into some nearby countries)
There was a regional burger from BK that was called "The Gilbert Burger" for Green Bay Packers Defensive Nose Tackle Gilbert Brown. It was basically two Whoppers without pickles because Gilbert didn't like them. I remember it was in 1998 because I was in the 8th grand and had a fairly major surgery. My parents knew I was feeling better when I asked for one when we were out one evening.

It's always nice to see your videos, informative, entertaining and not trashy.
Mike, new idea…
What if you did companies that are unique/odd?..
For example, Gerber is a baby food and life insurance for elders company!
How’d they become that? How do they make it work? Why do they do that/is there an advantage?
I love how this is the first time Company Man mentions McDonald's that isn't in the intro
I worked at BK when the Big King came out. It had a middle bun for awhile and later dropped it. It came out later in Canada for some reason.
The only reason why I liked Burger King compared to McDonald’s back than was because of the kids meal toys in the 90s.
burger king is better now

Burger King is definitely a childhood charm for me. My grandpa use to take me and my siblings there whenever we'd visit him. He use to send us birthday money to with a message to specifically use it to get a Whopper Sandwich.
Its the opposite for me. I grew up going to Macca's for a treat. I loved at the end of the year when you could get the Macca's calendar where you coloured in the pictures of Grimace, Hamburgler and Ronald. And it came with stickers.
Your comment warmed my heart. All my grandparents are gone except for one Nana (grandma) left. Thanks for reminding me of good things my grandfathers did for us grandchildren.
What a cool grandpa you have. Awesome guy. I miss my grandpa too. He's a great grandpa to us.
My grandmother used to think that mcdonalds was made there in the restaurant by hand and was healthy for you. I can almost remember the tone of my mom chastising my grandmother for going there so often lol.
Dude is thisy brother's profile? That sounds like my grandpa
Personal pros for each:
BK: fluffier fries, the Impossible Whopper (beef used to give me eczema flareups + my mom is vegetarian), the flame-broiled taste
McD's: It's everywhere
Good job...1st Fast Food I ever had was Burger King when we moved to NOVA from the coast of Maine. The Burger King in Naperville Il is the only remaining original style with the roof Handlebars...1965
That McWhopper packaging screams Burger King’s idea lol
In Australia, Burger King is called Hungry Jacks. Just recently Hungry Jacks released a burger called “The Big Jack”. It’s literally just the Big Mac lol the advert campaign was great too. They mocked that McDonald’s was taking legal action
that’s funny, where i’m from in Alabama, we have a place called Jack’s (unrelated to Burger King or Hungry Jacks) and they have a Big Jack, and a “Bigger Jack” and also a “Big Bacon”
And I'd bet the big jack is a good deal better burger too
And McDonald's should have no right to sue nothing being that their "Big Mac" was a ripoff of the original "Big Boy"
It's funny when thieves get offended when it's done back to them.
both are great!
I worked at McDonald's when they introduced the McDLT. It was awesome LOL.
I worked at Burger King during the release of the Big King and the new fries. I might even still have my Free Fry Day shirt we wore for the release...also fun fact...I dressed up as the BK easter bunny at that store that year! Ahhh...the good ol' days!
I think they're mostly interchangeable. I love BK's burgers for breakfast thing (I'm an overnight worker). My favorite thing in fast food is getting a couple custom cheese Whoppers. I've stopped going to my local BK, because the ice cream machine hasn't worked in months, the crew is routinely incompetent, and they haven't had a fully stocked soda machine in years. If BK could get its act together and hold up consistent quality, it would be better, but as things are, I never have to worry about crew quality, food quality, or what's in stock if I go to McD's.
When I was a kid burger king used to have commercials with fantasy characters that I liked making me wish I was on these commercials, meeting the fantasy characters on there
Burger King is underrated for sure, their BBQ sauce is 🔥 both on the same level for me - based in Nz
I have a friend from high school that worked at both McDonalds and Burger King in the early 1990s. He had interesting comparison-contrasts between the two. My memories of those conversations boils down to this: McDonalds was much more focused on technology to make the restaurants more efficient. This is also was while Ray Kroc was revered at McDonalds, and he had an edict that McDonalds would never have microwave ovens in their kitchens… or so I'm told.
I worked at a McDonald's in the mid 90's and sometime around then, a microwave was added to the kitchen. We weren't allowed to call it that, it was a Q-ing oven. The burgers were grilled and cooked patties stored in a warming oven and then microwaved prior to serving. This did keep sandwiches from having to sit under heat lamps. Not sure which was better, but a fresh cooked sandwich was always best.
If im honest with myself, im taking chicken fries over mcnuggets. When they first came out and tried em i couldnt get enough they were so fire 🔥
my grandmother was the same for burger king they kept moving here around different stores but refused to get her the help she needed so she was working 10+hours days 6-7 days a week. this was bad but not the worst she ended up slipping and falling while cleaning and hurting her back. they needed up intimidating her to not file an incident report and then firing her
As a kid growing up here in Florida, Burger King was always our #1 spot when it came to fast food burger places. Back in the 90’s/00’s, the locations here were very good and used to have exclusive menu items you didn’t see at locations outside the state. Also, BK had the better kid’s meals and toy options back then, so it was a no brainer to me of who was better, lol..
Yep, Burger King was always the place when I was younger. BK is a Florida institution.
Can confirm as a floridian I barely eat McDonald's maybe 3 times in the past 10 years, whenever it's an option I go bk over McDonald's. I don't much prefer either of them anymore though I'd go to Wendy's or chikfila over either of them
@@Mcspazz731 Yep, same here. On the seldom occasion I DO eat fast food, it’s almost always Chick-Fil-A or Wendy’s. Wendy’s has really stepped their game up over this past decade.
Burger King in Florida used to be okay during the early 2000’s but went downhill sometime after 2006. Don’t know what happened but every BK barely tastes better than gas station food. The fries are horrid
I absolutely loved the McDlt! Wish they would bring it back.
The problem with burger king is they tried to get away from their family friendly eatery origin. They began with the "wake up with the king" commercials with weird sexual undertones. before that they got rid of their burger king kids mascots. they are trying to appeal to an older audience, but they forgot its kids who will consistently pick fast food over a restaurant not adults
In 1999 I was working graveyard shifts at Carl's Jr and for 6 months I also worked day shifts at the Burger King across the street. Both businesses used the exact same char broiler, same company same model everything. At Carl's Jr, we had touch screen computers that showed the cooks what people ordered, and at Burger King, they were still doing that thing where they had to repeat your order into a microphone so the cook could hear it, but no other way for the cook to know what to make, it was weird. At Carl's Jr, we were making burgers by putting the frozen patties into the char broiler as they were ordered, and making them fresh. At Burger King, even though it was the exact same char broiler, they would premake like 30 patties and put them into steamers, and the very last step of every burger was a 5 second zap in a microwave.
Gross
I live in the Netherlands, and all in all I think they're both pretty good. I tend to go with chicken burgers, and I do think I'd rather have a McChicken over a Long Chicken, but sometimes the Long Chicken just hits different. BK's Twister Fries are out of this world though.
Quick edit: McNuggets are easily the best. BK's nuggets don't even compare.
If you ever come to the US you need to try Chickfila if you’re a chicken fan
@@DrButterscotch49
I'd argue Popeyes is has a better chicken sandwich, if anyting Chick-fil-A does better its their cookies and lemonade.
European fast food is amazing.
American fast food is poison.
I never leave Burger King hungry, where McDonald's always feels like a light snack to me
I've had both and because I'm from the Midwest White Castle takes the crown. However I've since moved to Florida and White Castle did open the largest one down here and I will still drive about an hour to get some. Also White Castle has frozen food which allows people like us who don't live near them to eat them.
it would be cool if you did a video of Beyond Meat vs Impossible Foods.
Why I go to BK, for the Impossible Whopper.
The fake meat really is made for burgers. While it doesn't taste exactly the same, it's close enough and tasty enough that I don't really see any reason to eat regular burgers anymore if the alternative is available.
@@planescaped I've had enough now where I actually prefer Impossible. HOWEVER, only when it's from a restaurant like BK. If I make an Impossible Burger at home, it's terrible and I don't know why.
@@apollomacgregor6534 try seasoning the ground Impossible before cooking it! I always do salt, onion powder, cumin, garlic, paprika, and pepper and they turn out great
I used to love the Burger King in my neighborhood. The Whoppers were so delicious. Several years ago the place went way downhill and nothing I ever get there is good anymore. I've only been there once in the last couple of years and ordered the Bacon King and it had so much mayonnaise on it that I couldn't eat it. I think I'm just done with it.
Send them an e-mail carefully explaining your grievances. At the very least they should give you a voucher for another chance.
I swear, everything is hip hop beef wars.... Gotta luv it 😅
I like Burger King's burgers over McDonald's, but I like McDonald's fries and breakfast meals over Burger King's.
I love BK!.. I usually go for the whopper but I got a spicy chicken combo the other day and it was great! I even asked the dude at the counter if he could toss just ONE onion ring into my fries and he gave me a whole medium size for free!
Best Channel when it comes to breaking down business analysis
You should do another video on how they competed for the kids market. Happy Meals vs. Burger King Kid’s Club, etc.
Love ‘em all - including Shake Shack, 5 Guys, In-N-Out Burger, Hardees, Carls Jr., Red Robin, FuddRuckers, Wayback Burgers, Wendys, etc (But franchise owners and managers are everything)
I miss the old BK chicken nuggets shaped as crowns cause they tasted better than the ones they have now
Really enjoy these Versus videos! Great content
LOVE this channel
McDonalds tastes "ok" but sits like a rock in my stomach and makes me feel sick.. Burger King tastes so delicious and digests perfectly fine. I have eaten two double whoppers, two burgers and a large fry before, all in one sitting and still felt good(back when the app came out and you could abuse the discounts, haha).
“I dunno, I didn’t go into Burger King”.

Great video as always. The one thing that I was expecting you to mention that didn't make it into the video was the kid's meal war of the 90's and early 00's. Long before my time McDonalds obviously started the Happy Meal and Burger King had to introduce the Kids Meal to compete. The Kid's crown was the thing that finally put BK's kids meal on the map and in the 90's the war began ramping up as kids networks and movies became a thing resulting in a fight over licensing agreements for the toys that came with the meals. In the early 2000's I was a kid who had outgrown the kids meals when Burger King introduced the "Burger King Big Kids Meal" along with the advertising campaign on the new full-time kids networks like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. The ads made the meal cool, it was the perfect thing for kids that were too old for the happy meal and too young for an adult meal. I was the target market at the time and as a result Burger King became my favorite fast-food restaurant at the time when I understood for the first time what it meant to have a "favorite fast-food restaurant"! McDonalds eventually introduced "The Mighty Kids Meal" as their version of the Big Kids Mean but it was too late! Burger King had already became my favorite fast food restaurant, I prefer Burger King to McDonalds to this day!
I remember!
Then there was the gold-plated cards in promotion for Pokémon the First Movie. For a while, Burger King was the place to go for kids meals, as both my mom and my friend's mom would stop by locations across the city to collect them all for us. I still have a full set in the den at home.
@@SelecaoOfMidas I still have all those gold plated cards! 😋
@@SelecaoOfMidas I remember the twilight new moon promotion in their cups with stickers that would peel off, damn good times
That's an interesting point to make. The crowns really helped because even as an adult you could take one and it's goofy. But the M box with Happy Meals isn't a souvenir in the same sense and isn't as usable outside of childhood.
Thank you for keeping you videos short and to the point!
Very informative and to the point.
Burgerking is better any way over McDonald's because flame boiling brings better taste to a burger the real reason McDonald's do well kids like toys it's more family friendly in that way
Well even that McDonald's got the most customers burgerking wins in taste
What do you think about a video of the XFL?
I mean, I have always loved Burger King because of their unique flavor and texture for double cheeseburgers 🎉
Generally speaking I gauge my preference for McD's & BK on a per food item basis which is a complex way of saying I like them both. Which restaurant I go to just depends on my mood at the time.
Always good to see a new Company Man video.
I like that Burger King occasionally adds stuff to their menu for me to try. Like I enjoyed when they had chili cheese dogs, they're actually pretty good. I also enjoy Arby's for the same reason, every month they have something new.
The introduction of “Satisfries” was the last time I stepped into a BK with any regularity.
This is the only video that made me feel like a snob for eating at McDonald’s 😂
I have thought Wendy's was second to McDonald's, and that BK stat blew my mind! Nice video 🙆
My local BK got a new franchise owner and they run it like the navy. There's always a line at the drive thru bc everything's fresh so you gotta wait. Overall though, their locations are hit-or-miss, they either have quality and waits or no quality but quick as hell
How did you not mention chicken fries?
Honestly I don't go to either, but when I'm in a place with in-and-out I'll go there multiple times on one vacation.
Burger King is my preferred location but something I learned from one franchise made me laugh. The location was across the street from a McDonald's in a seaside shopping outlet. The owner said they only exist there to eat at McDonald's sales, if they make their sales goals they are more likely to "need to close for maintenance".
This rivalry, is still going on in Australia(where Burger King is called Hungry Jack's), where just 2 years ago Hungry Jack's introduced a Big Jack which was clearly supposed to be a copy of the Big Mac. They advertised how it's better than the big mac and all that stuff. They even had a chicken version of it, just like Mcdonalds had recently introduced in Aus. As you can guess Mcdonalds sued.
A chicken big Mac sounds a little big wack to me
I always believed the slogan that "the burgers are better at Hungry Jacks". I much prefer a Whooper with its tomato rather than a Big Mac with its extra piece of bread lol
I have no idea how mc D’s got so popular, it’s just bun, pattie, cheese oh and .05 of a gram of lettuce!
Great stuff not!
