      Your system is leaking air somewhere. You didn't test for leaks. Where is the AIR coming from inside the container as water exits ? It's coming from a leak . ALSO, the pipe going into the TANK must be filled . Find the air leak.

    This thing works. The pump is the drum placed above the well which pumps water from the well and outlet water will be moved by the gravitational force, so siting is very important. If raised the outlet pipe above the drum, you make atmospheric pressure to be more than the outlet drum pressure thus why you see those bubbles. But it can pump water from the well to the drum and from the drum water will flow to the lower side not climbing the hill.

    • @rvlifestylelivin

  • @thornyturtleranch4u

    It works. I always take a 2 inch hose, about 7 meters long and i siphon a container on flat ground by lowering the hose over 45 degrees. More water is in the hose over the 45 degrees than what is needed to raise over the edge of container. Its even siphones hard off the bottom even though there is no down sloap from the exit end of the hose, just a gradual slope maybe 3 times the volume of the lift.

    Heron's fountain principal.
    Proven and high school science.
    Drum pressure pump is what you're trying to simulate.
    Don't use hoses, hose designed to hold pressure not vacuum and will collapse and cause loss of pressure. 1 way valve needed at water pickup. Prime the pick up. Air trap needed between your drum and outlet in your design, prevents the drum losing vacuum pressure.
    Pretty sure your drum has air leak aswell vacuum should achieve a lock on the water unless air is bubbling back into it from outlet and I didn't see it bubble so air coming in from top somewhere.

    •  2 года назад

    Your setup is completely different to most of the videos. 1 significant fault in your demonstration is you did not prime the inlet pipe- for the record it works perfectly well in Australia 🇦🇺, we have been able to lift water from a depth of 30 metres using this technique NOTE - this only works if the uptake and the discharge pipe or pipes are proportional in the following- 1);intake must be charged ,fitted with a non return valve, pipe diameter is 25% smaller than your output pipe so as to create the vacuum great enough to pull the water upto the header tank.

    • @HostileRespite
      @HostileRespite 2 года назад

      @ Your first explanation was correct about vacuum forces in the drum. The hoses are a big deal, but cannot stress enough the importance of the mass of water in the tank. Gravity pressing on the mass cause increased negative pressure in the vacuum.This is why the 55 gallon tanks in the other videos draw so much water. There is a great demonstration in one where they use a plastic barrel and the negative pressure utterly crushes it. The tank you built should have cause SOME vacuum, but I wonder if there needs to be a certain minimum mass to cause the effect to gain enough power to perpetuate from gravity?

    • @seetheforest

    I have a problem with my farm pond it has a bad problem with turnover in fall it is a drainage pond and has no spring or stream feeding it.
    I'm trying to figure out a way to circulate the water is there a way to use a syphen pump under water taking water from the top of the pond and circulating it to the bottom?
    If the outlet point is lower in the water than the input point could this in theory work or would I be wasting my time?
    Also if it is possible to create circulation and run water from the top of the pond to the bottom I could add a ventury effect at the flow away from the drum adding air into the water and aerate the water going to the bottom of the pond?
    I haven't see any videos on this I would be vary interested if it works.
    The problems I see with this is the water at the top of the pond is warmer and less dense than the cold water at the bottom, also the water at the bottom has a lot of water pressure pushing the water back up the pipe I'm trying to force water down.
    But I was thinking maybe I could use a ram pump lower or at the same level as the input pipe it could be used to force the flowing water to over come the water pressure at the bottom pushing the water to a lower point the waste water from the ram pump would be put back into the pond and would help add aireation to the middle of the pond, a check value at the end of the pipe would prevent water flowing back up the pipe, I could also add a tesla valve along the way to insure the water will flow only in one direction.
    Not sure if any of this could work I've see a lot of videos like the one described here but I've never seen any videos putting the water back into the same source it was pulled from.
    I believe it is impossible because if it worked it would be a perpetual motion engine so there has to be some point when the pressures would equalize but I was thinking if I just had to add water to a drum from time to time it wouldn't be the end of the world, if I could get it working for a few hours during night when the pond needs air the most it would be fantastic.

    • @seetheforest
      @seetheforest 2 года назад

      @ I went a read some of the comments on your vid. I cannot believe the arguments people make. Like "you didn't prime the inlet pipe" but that would just start a syphon backwards and most videos have a manual valve to prevent that when filling the barrel. So that argument is wrong. Then I saw "you didn't put a check valve on the inlet pipe" which again would make it impossible to prime the pipe unless you turned it upside down or put the check valve at the end of the inlet under the level of the water. Again something that isn't in any of the videos. They show pipes and open fittings no valves. Also if you add a column of water on top of a spring controlled valve you have even more (much more) resistance to flow up.
      This is why I try to never argue with ignorant people. They simply cannot believe facts and want to believe a hoax or magic. If this "pump" was real wouldn't Einstein or someone hundreds of years ago figured it out and make it a common system?
      It's just someone making a syphon and calling it a pump to hoax and get views on RUclips.
      Note I admit some of the "systems" work in the videos but they cannot sustain flow without the discharge end lower that the source level. So they work because they syphon not pump. No barrel and pipe system will pull water up from a well to above ground level. Never ever!

      @@strawman9410 there is more to it than what was presented here.. the size and shape of the container being used. For starters .. has to be a little bit larger in size that what is being used in this video.. because to get adequate flow and suction.. the input and output piping have to be larger. Also they cannot be made of rubber .. the level of suction that is needed to complete this cycle will collapse the rubber hose.
      Also the 1st example in this video does not have hot glue sealing the lid.. this should have been redone and not counted. This is where the air was more than likely coming from not allowing suction to happen.. the second test look at all the hotglue around the lid.. if he had kept the second container on the table only to provide moderate lift the system did and would have worked..
      No it is not going to pump water to any level above the " drum pump" but it would allow the suction to happen and the water to flow out in-between the drumpump outlet and the ground which is in most cases higher level than the water source..
      I've seen Rice farmers use this same system to move water from a glowing river to a dried up rice field 50 or more yards from the water source..
      The trick is getting the drum pump high enough to allow gravity to do its job , also just as you stated .. the inlet/ suction pipe vs the outlet pipe has to be correct as far as diameter for the suction to take place

    the term "free energy" they use is not using Electrical pumps... it works on me as far as syphon is concerned, that's the only purpose for it, transferring water from point A to point B, the source must have abundant water like rivers or well... it will continue forever as long as the water on river wont dry up...

    If there is vacuum in the raised container, then the air pressure on the outlet should prevent the water flow. Both inlet and outlet are subject to air pressure. I don't think it works. Flow into this container under vacuum is called a "flying syphon".

  • @brangiexx
    @brangiexx 2 года назад +2

    Thank you for your video. However your test appears flawed. The liquid can not empty from the container without causing a vacuum. if your container was properly air tight that quantity of water could not flow out without sucking air back in through the outlet. Also the inlet pipe needs a non-return valve at the bottom and it needs to be a charged line before opening the outlet. the outlet pipe needs to be at least 2-3 times diameter of the inlet. The outlet pipe also needs to be charged before opening. The general principal as far as I can tell is the combined weight of the water in the container and the outlet pipe are what is used to draw water from the lower water source. I would like to see you do the experiment again with these adjustments.

    •  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for your comment Brandon I am preparing a new video with a bigger model, it has a non retorn valve and a vacuum gauge, it is going to be interesting, I will waiting for you there, I will make a spanish version first and then an english version, best regards.

    I have seen a number of videos concerning this type of pump. The conclusion that I am coming to is that this will not work continually without recharging the drum with water as I suggest that the water in the drum will reduce. Therefore the system works from the kinetic energy of initially lifting the water which is finite.

    •  2 года назад

      thank you for your comment, in fact this method doesnt use kinetic energy because is just a syphon, on the other hand, a RAM pump is a real "free" energy pump wich uses kinetic energy taking advantage to water hammer. best regards

    There must be a high suction within the container. Otherwise it just equals out.. The container has possibility to collapse, so use small hose in and out to decrease the suction needed. You have air leaks even at the ball valve it leaks pressure. Everything must be sealed for high pressure, so high pressure connection fittings of pvc require sanding and glue for no leaking at higher pressure. Not ball valves also you might use pvc tape aka teflon tape for no air leaks. you have things looking right.. but that pull needs to be strong enough and the container must not capsize and no iv thumb ball that's to slooow.. it's about overcoming the pull with vacuum pressure and volume pull. not hight and gravity, don't forget to prime aka fill everything first.

    I agree with you pressure is still dependent on head not weight of water. But one comment on the first experiment. There shouldn't be any continues flow to a point it drains the tank. Water displaced was being replaced by air. meaning the tank is not air tight. Air is coming in somewhere replacing the water flowing out.
    I still want to see the calculation using Bernoulli's principle if weight and movement of water in discharge pipe can't really generate excess energy. Maybe do a third experiment to use 20x the tube length you used, generating more flow momentum to gain a bit of differential pressure due to flow. Don't let any part of discharge tube to be lower than source. If there is truth in this concept, I would say Bernoulli's equation should show the amount of free energy.

    Like others have said. You experiment is not the same. You need a check valve/foot valve on the intake pipe. The intake pipe must be primed. You are also using tubbing. It flexes too much. Your seals on the tubing need to be tight. That glue is not good enough. Every time you move the tubing it the seal is disturbed. (use tight grommets).

    Uh, guy.. uh, you forgot to fill the input tube.. the vacuum created won't be strong at all with so much air. This system works only when full at first use. Any water drawn from the output side will create a vacuum which draws in to replace it- water from the source, or input side, but only with the buffer tank and both of the sides filled first from the top. The water when it fills the whole space inside the tank and the pipes -what happens is all the water starts to become trained, or combines into one flow direction- which is felt even at the source inlet pipe.

    Exactly. It is useful if you have a high obstruction like a mountain or wall in between the water source and destination. This demonstration is perfectly in line with the so called "Free Energy" systems. Water goes in the top and out the bottom. In fact, the water supply could go in the bottom and still work. It's a basic siphon. The level in must be higher than the discharge out. I can do the same thing with a bucket of water and a garden hose. Nothing earth shattering!

      I would not waste the time. A siphon works on the principal of two vertical columns of water connected over an arch or U shape. The weight of the longer vertical column is greater so it lifts the lesser vertical column. In solid representation it would be as a balance beam scale. Fluid flow just adds a dynamic principle to the process. His illusion had one vertical column and a longer horizontal column. Gravity pulls across the horizontal column not along its linear length so the greater mass in the horizontal column is irrelevant.
