Can you explain what you mean by distorted? If you're wondering why it isn't a perfectly straight line of reflection that is because the mesh has a normal map and spec map to break it up
It should come bundled in. Just make sure you have a recent version of the software. It can be found here: gyazo.com/d997eff81a68449b6717da5627a4bff9. Let me know if you're still having trouble :)
www.dropbox.com/s/s1ywcd095u1s1r1/asdf.jpg?dl=0 Hmm weird, I DLed the latest version, 4.1.5, off their website but my UI looks different than yours and doesn't have it.
@@dmismedeng5995 If you have all your uvs straight and in the same direction you actually don't need a direction map. You can just apply a hair shader and it should work. Most hair shaders have an attribute the let you pick the direction of the specular
This video is very useful! Thank you so much for sharing it!
No worries!
How do I paint the direction map??u(r) don't need to paint?just paint v(g)?1 means root,0 means tip?,b channel don't need to paint?
Thanks for this tutorial! Question: Your light seems a bit distorted even before adding the position map, why is that?

@@StoffCreates That's exactly what I meant. I need to work more on my normal and spec map then! I'm gonna do some studies, Thank you Christoph!
@@PieroStuff No prob :)
Is that tangent normal drawing angle brush a custom brush you made? Or is it an add-on from somewhere? Can't seem to find it within Krita.

Which software did you used to paint the Direction Map?
I used Krita. It's free to use which is great too!
