    • @yo2trader539

      The same model doesn't mean the same car. Due to differences in environmental standards, safety regulations and customer preference, vehicle specs and after-service is different for each regional market. It reflects difference in purchasing power.
      Thus, CR-Vs sold in North America, Mexico, Asia, China, and Europe all have different specs. In case you don't know, Chinese automakers have instigated a massive price war by selling vehicles at a loss, so foreign automakers had no choice but to reduce their prices in China. As a result, Honda has been cutting back in the Joint-Venture production and reducing staff in China due to less demand.

  • @maff257
    @maff257 3 месяца назад +9

    This is doomed to fail unfortunately because of the pricing. This was one of their best selling cars in the previous generation but making the middle ground more crowded by introducing the ZR-V (US HR-V) when they already had the HR-V was in my view a mistake. If they hadn't introduced that the CR-V would be priced where the ZR-V is in the range, which would be the correct price level for this car.

    Just put a hybrid Elegance model on the road for circa £40k so ignore the list prices. Deal also includes a 5 year warranty and 5 years servicing so given I was offered an equivalent Tuscon or Sportage for about £40/month less excluding servicing it’s not such a bad deal. The car is also noticeably bigger and more spacious than those other two cars. Works for me

    Civic has the same interior. It's high quality and very refined ;). The best on the market, people say. Of course, the prices of the cars are different. It's also good to remember that the CR-V is a bigger car than the others mentioned in the video. Also, other brands do not have starting price model with hybrid and four-wheel drive.
    After all these years the Honda doesn't have a gearbox, it seems hard to tell. 8 speed eCVT does give wrong information once again. No gearbox, no CVT, electric motor pulls and fixed gear. That's a fact!

      I don’t understand how the size of the car relates to congestion. It’s not as if it’s a lorry. Congestion is caused by numerous factors, though principally the volume of vehicles using the roads which is probably the highest it’s ever been. FA to do with the size of the cars.

    Im from nz and drive a previous edition Crv 2nd hand. Same as the UK (and Aust) new Hondas are just way too expensive for what you get when compared to other comparable brands. All those so called premium features are typically standard features in other premium brands and honda argues that you are getting a higher quality product (hence charging you so much) . Apparently I was told by an Aust car reviewer that Honda's strategy is profit margin first quantity second I.e they want themselves to be seen as a premium brand so they can get a bigger profit in each car they sell, rather than getting many sells with a lower profit margin (e.g Toyota?) Interesting strategy but I personally think they are a bit overconfident in their own legacy. They are way overpriced for what you get and no way they are at the level of other premium brands. People who buy them new are either through a business or is a die hard Honda fan. I just can't see how they are value for money.
    However I think when they are 2nd hand, they are a lot more affordable and value for money coz you will get all these "premium" features that you can't get from other brands at that discounted 2nd hand price.

    I have the smaller ZR-V and i don't see much difference in quality in the CR-V. The switchgear is all the same as well as the infotainment and the steering wheel. Also the spec on my ZR-V advance is nearly identical! And we get 50mpg easily and 7-8 sec to 60 mph using exactly the same 2.0l hybrid engine.
