Do you bake the cake itself a day in advance of putting on all the decorations? Do you put the decorations on the day when the customer gets the cake? How do you prevent things from falling apart?Basically how do you keep each element fresh...thank u!
I generally like to have the cakes baked in advance so it's less cleaning all in one day. I always aimed to have my decor completely on the day before pickup, but it didn't always work out that way. The outer decor will develop a crust no matter what so to keep the cake itself moist, I add in sugar syrup in each layer to keep things fresh :).
