I also appreciate those who have decided to subscribe to my channel just from this video! Lets remember that this is just makeup so lets not get too crazy in the comments :) I want this channel to be a positive space where people don't have to feel like they can't comment simply because they fee they may be attacked for their own opinion. You guys know I am ALWAYS down for constructive criticism because that is what will make me be better for all of you, but cursing each other out in the comments does nothing for anyone except cause more drama which we all know is unnecessary. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if that person does not agree with my review or how the product looks on me, but lets keep everything as cordial as possible. I'm an eczema baby myself. Tea tree really helps. Its one of the only 2 things that helps mine, especially on hands. What I've learned, since Im soooo sensitive to the sun and heat when it comes to eczema, is spf everything! I get my fave fragrance free lotion, as my skin hates like evthing, lol, and I add spf to it. I just get a travel bottle and make my own mix.; fragrance free lotion and spf 50 sunblock. When Im going to go out, I massage that on my hands and it has been wonderful for me. The lotion helps draw the spf into my skin, as spf is pretty thick. When I already have a rash or it peeks out, I use teatree and it helps stop my skin from itching and weeping, and its mostly gone, the rash that is, by the next day or just after a few minutes. When severe a couple of days. I just apply when I feel to, the tea tree. Make sure its pure. I use australian tea tree which is melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil. Its been great. My hands literally used to just get raw, and weep and bruise. I used to have to wear gloves in the summer to prtect them, but now with my lotion mix and tea tree, I dont have that prob anymore. Hope this helps you or any other readers. Excema babies, unite! lol ♡ Loved watching this vid :) I need to check out this brands color range.

    • @JoyceisJBT
      @JoyceisJBT 7 лет назад +4

      Rosa Rivera you're welcome! Also wanted to mention, the tea tree will dry that area, as its a natural antiseptic. I think of it as it killing everything thats causing the itch and weeping which dries that area. The drying, to me, is the best thing it does, cause for me, moisture to my iritatted skin just makes my skin more itchy. So dont be alarmed or feel you have to rush to moisturize that area after the tea tree dries it out. Its part of the healing ♡. I just put on more tea tree later cause after the initial dry up of whats irritating your skin, reapplying tea tree will put some moisturization back, but not an irritating moisture. I hope that makes sense. Like, think of when you shampoo your hair twice. The first application breakups the oil and dirt, and the second application gets to dig in and really clean the hair. tea tree is the same, first application it dries up the irritants, then second application it moisturizes your skin and just continues to help that area heal ♡ I get my tea tree off the site pipingrock, btw. They're really affordable. I get the 4oz. Tea tree has water consistency so just use a few drops. A little goes a VERY long way so don't be heavy handed with it. Mine lasts me a year or more. You can even put some in a travel spray bottle, as it initially comes in a glass bottle, and use it for your scalp if its itchy or dry, or to spray it on your hands. Thats what I do. :) Best wishes!

      The one thing to remember with any of these things is that yes it does have lots of coverage but it is on camera which is much different than irl. So when you put it on it does look kind of cakey but some people don't have a big problem with that. So it's rlly just preference.

    • @somebodynew1511
      @somebodynew1511 6 лет назад +2

      kodi keith *Just a grow:*
      #1 (and most importantly) This video was a "product review" - therefore she was explaining the product, and giving her input, not giving a make up tutorial. It was literally the *entire* point of making the video
      #2 You had the option to fast forward the video if her *introduction* to the product was so agonizing
      #3 Just because you have criticism for someone, doesn't mean you always need to express it - or that she or anyone else, really cares what *you* think
      #4 The "I like your voice, but..." & "you seem real" was a back-handed compliment... It's kinda like saying "bless your heart"
      #5 What qualifies you to give people "grow" advice? You obviously need some yourself, on how to NOT instruct people to do things the way *you* think they should have done them - that's highly egotistical - which is far more cringy than listening to someone talk.
      You prob shouldn't have even commented, if you were just going to be a "sugar coated bitch"

    My little girl has eczema and is actually going through a particularly rough patch right now. She's also 13 which is a rough age anyways. She just started getting the eczema on her face, hands and fingers. (Normally it's been in the bend of her arms, behind her knees and on her neck.) I'm so glad to see a RUclipsr showing their eczema bc it's so important for kids to see ppl like them represented in media. We all want to see ppl who look like ourselves. One of the things I love about RUclips is there isn't the same barrier to entry that typical media has. I see women and girls (and guys) with the darkest skin tone to the lightest and all sorts of body types. There are ppl with no arms and facial deformities and they are putting out videos and affirming the value of all ppl no matter if they meet societal beauty expectations. My daughter is pretty self conscious of her eczema especially on her arms where constant scratching and picking at the dry flakes has left some scarring. She puts socks she cuts the feet out of on her arms to hide the patches of eczema. She's so beautiful but bc of her eczema and her petite size has felt like the rashy runt. We live with my sisters family and her daughters are all amazons with skin that has no rash that tans easily in the summer (my daughter is very very pale and burns easily) and unfortunately my daughter compares herself to them. It breaks my heart bc she's so beautiful, so amazing and so imaginative . I'm definitely going to subscribe to your channel and show your videos to my daughter (even though right now she hates makeup-she more a climb a tree and tromp through the woods with her dog or play video games kind of kid) bc I want her to see someone who looks like her on her her favorite platform. She wants to start a RUclips channel and I want her to see that there are ppl who have the same skin condition making videos and doing well. Thank you for being so open about your eczema, it's got to be great for those suffering from it to see themselves reflected on RUclips.

      I know how you feel. I've had eczema since I was born. 21 years now. I was in and out of hospital. When I was small I was in Great Ormand Street until they couldn't take me any longer as I turned 16. (Since great ormand street is a hospital for children). Then I moved to another hospital. Now my eczema has improved that people dont even know I have it. Of course I still use my medicine to keep it under control because if i dont it will flare up easily. It also means I cant use soap unless its fragrance free etc. But it does get better. Eczema heals over time with right medication. ❤

    • @fifrosqui5764
      @fifrosqui5764 7 лет назад

      I'm not a doctor so don't try these products unless you have asked your doctor about it. I'm just speaking from experience. Bathing in Oilatum Junior bath additive is great for people with eczema. Its keeps your skin soft and moisturised and is fragrance free. Just be careful not to slip in the bath. You can get this prescribed from your doctor or buy it over the counter!
      Moisturise with diprobase cream as it provides intesnse moisture.
      I agree with the comment above. Elacon (momentasone) ointment is a very strong steroid and is good for people with eczema. However this can only be prescribed by your doctor.
      Alternatively i think there are more natural remodies to help your eczema too. I hope this advice helps! ❤. I have eczema from head to toe and is so annoying, especially when I have to get bandaged. I feel ya!

    really loved your review!! but im wondering if you would wear this foundation on a "normal day" (like every day make up) too or if it looks... too heavy for that? and did you wear it for like a full day because i would love to know what your thoughts are on the look of it after wearing it for a few hours :)

    • @kkatherinee9609
      @kkatherinee9609 7 лет назад +4

    • @sararodrigues5126
      @sararodrigues5126 7 лет назад +11

      I've heard that you shouldn't wear it on a daily basis cause it's so full coverage and it will clog your pores. It was made for movies and photoshoots specially.

    • @keepinupwnicole
      @keepinupwnicole  7 лет назад +20

      Great question! Personally I wouldn't wear this as an every day foundation because it is so full coverage. If you plan on wearing this every day I would recommend using a small amount and possibly mixing the foundation with a beauty oil to dilute the foundation so it isn't such extreme coverage. I would say this foundation is more geared towards special events and whatnot. To answer your second question, I did wear it for the entire day and I liked how the foundation looked at the end of the day and I believe that was due to me setting my entire face. If you don't set your entire face I am worried that the foundation will break apart throughout the day, and this goes for all skin types. I hope I helped! :)

    • @roseylazy2064
      @roseylazy2064 7 лет назад +2

      oli You could also mix it with moisturiser. That's what i normally do with my full coverage foundations to thin them down and also make them easier to blend.

    • @HannahCobana
      @HannahCobana 7 лет назад +2

      I love this foundation and use it many ways. Even though its very thick and full coverage its gorgeous to spot conceal with no other makeup on. I do it all the time when I wanna cover spots but I don't wanna bother with anything else. If you use a small amount though it looks and feels very lightweight but tons of coverage. I think the moisturizing element to it really helps it to not look too heavy and doesn't show texture much.

    To people that are worried that the product is too thick, this product was actually used originally as stage makeup. Stage makeup is usually thicker because actors sweat under the spotlights and stage lights. This foundation is supposed to stay on your face under harsh conditions like hot stage lights for multiple hours. I'm very glad that she likes this product because I've noticed that many reviews agree that it's a good product. Please avoid the fake product that is very cheap and doesn't look like hers. Her natural face (even the skin) is very beautiful... (once you get used to the difference between seeing it covered with make up and not.)
      I think many of these people only see their faces immediately after washing it vigorously to remove their makeup. Letting it rest overnight naked moisturized will let the redness reduce on its own.

    It looks really beautiful at the end with the full face, but I have a question and please don't think it's rude because I just don't understand certain aspects of makeup that well: if this foundation is such heavy duty coverage, why would you need to use concealer like on your under eyes and stuff? I've been using Dermacol as an undereye concealer for 2 years and it blows every other brand away. If you use it, I recommend starting with a very tiny amount because a little gives amazing coverage. You can always build on it. My first tube lasted 2 years and I just replaced it. If you use it as an overall foundation, it won't last 2 years, but it will last longer than most other foundations.

    I have bought 3of them ...make SURE you get your color right....I was not use to the make up first.(use extremely small amount) but you will LOVE it (sponge is better).. and you need matte powder finish ...LOOKS FANTASTIC...at the end.😉👍💜💕🌷

    the beauty sponge is revolutionary. the brush accentuates skin texture and it's especially horrific for dry skin that's prone to dry patches.

    i love your videos and the quality is amazing but the audio is kind of weird. Do you use a separate microphone attached to your camera?

    • @keepinupwnicole
      @keepinupwnicole  7 лет назад +9

      Aww thank you so much! I do use an external mic and I just realized what you're talking about. I edit my videos on my laptop so the audio sounds more crisp than on my phone! Ugh. My apologies. It looks like it's time for a new mic! Thank you for informing me of this issue!

    For everyone considering buying the product on Amazon I would look at the reviews. A lot of people are saying that the product listed on Amazon isn't the real Dermacol. I'm not sure though because the one she used looks full coverage and how it should. Just an FYI

      Yes definitely be careful and cautious when purchasing this from anywhere but the Dermacol website :)

    I had eczema for five years on my face and it kept getting worse, four months ago I got rid of it but five months ago it was horrible. It look like someone punched me on my neck and face. I cried because I was embarrassed to go to school, so my mom took me to the dermatologist and in three days of using the cream my skin got better. I had it on my arms too. I would watch so many videos on RUclips daily on how to get rid of eczema. I tried everything and I thought it was never going to go away. But thank God it went away I just wanted to say I know the struggle and I hope and pray your skin gets better💕

    I bought the next shade up from my preferred shade and chose 2 free trial tubes ,1 lighter and 1 darker, to custom blend my shade (depending on the season, summer or winther) i love it. A little goes a long way.

    People complain a lot about the shades, which is understandable, but you also need to remember that it's made by a brand from the Czech Republic. Most people there are fair/light, so it makes sense that the shades are limited to those with fair to medium/tan skin tones.

    I absolutely love this foundation. I also have eczema as well as sebbhoric dermatitis and this product doesn't make it worse. It covers my tattoos and acne, which is awesome when needed (tattoos). Also, I don't need a lot of product and use a basic foundation brush to apply it. I saw the ad on Facebook and bought from there (not Amazon) for about $13. For the price, it's a GREAT product!!

    This is the first foundation I've found that has as much pigment as LimeLife's! Fortunately, we have 16 amazing colors with more colors coming soon. Danessa Myricks has created 6 more exclusive colors that will help us find the perfect shade for women of color, plus matching powders too. So exciting!

      I feel you need a bit darker shade. It looks way too light and you can see the difference between your real natural coloring & this shade. It is seen at your hairline & in your hair. It doesn't seem natural.

    I love this product but had to order a few shades to find the right one. A little goes a long way! I'm more oily so I use a good primer and set with powder. I have yet to try using my setting powder first beneath the foundation as other makeup artists have suggested. I have sensitive, blemish-prone skin and this product does not cause me problems! It wears well all day with a few powder touch ups for my oily spots. I never looked so good :)
