I Thirst was written in June of 1974. I was in desert as an extra in John Wayne's last film. The song was written in Spanish. This was a day when it was raining and we were not able to film. I wrote the chorus and John Wayne wrote the first verse. My great uncle Ralph Brimfield lived in Carson City where we were filming. He wrote the second verse.

after 1995 for the most part the Cathedrals stopped using these songs in their programs after 1995, to push other songs, most of the time when they released a new album, the record company wanted them to sing all the new recorded songs on their new project, then they would mostly sing the songs George wanted to do, they got to where they hardly ever took request. I was a little upset with them a few times about it, but thats the way it was, George do the songs he wanted to to do.
