Not to mention the price, no words can describe glorious greediness atp They thought making a fully customizable gaming keyboard was a good idea, but they forgot to make a good product in the first place. History just repeats itself
I must say, I'm quite disappointed with the review. The hall effect switches used in this keyboard don't have pins, which leads to excessive rattling. Pins are crucial for stabilizing switches and reducing play, so this oversight significantly affects the typing experience. It's possible that you may have forgotten to mention this important detail in the video, but it’s something that could greatly impact the overall quality of the keyboard. I'm also concerned that the keyboard may sound "hollow," but unfortunately, the video doesn't offer a thorough sound test to verify this. It would be helpful to see more in-depth testing from another reviewer who can focus on the acoustic performance. Additionally, I find it unprofessional that you're engaging with viewers in the comments in a dismissive manner. Many are sharing their opinions and concerns about the keyboard, but your responses-often along the lines of "you're wrong" or "it sounds and feels great to me"-come off as defensive. Open dialogue and constructive feedback are essential for creating a trusted review community. I hope you take this into consideration for future content.
Additionally, you're misrepresenting the pricing. The version of the keyboard you mention as starting at $89 is not even functional in that state. You need to purchase switches and keycaps separately to make the $89 version usable, which can easily drive the total cost up to $200 or more. This is misleading to potential buyers, and I think it’s important to clarify this for viewers.
Thank you for the feedback. As for me engaging with the viewers in the comments, you’re probably right I should stay away, but I love interacting with the community. Now am I pushing back, no not at all, a viewers is expressing their feelings and so am I. I’m not being rude or disrespectful. Now I do agree I should step away from the negative comments that are not constructive, I have been getting much better at that, but I was so excited about this product, truly loved it, so maybe my passion got the best of me and I engaged with the negative replies as well. So in that area yes, I need to get better still. These days I usually post a video and then go for a motorcycle ride, unfortunately we have a hurricane inbound and I couldn’t do that here, so I sat on the computer and got involved. I will get better at this. But again I do truly like this release, I think it hits many great spots for consumers. PS: another video on the GMMK3 will be inbound as well 👍
@@Tlads21 Yes, that's correct-magnetic switches typically don’t come with pins, including the Leker switches. However, it would have been helpful for the reviewer to mention this detail, especially for viewers who may be new to the hobby or looking to get into it. After all, many people rely on these reviews to make informed decisions.

I personally think it sounds ok. Not amazing but not bad. I think a lot of the extra cost comes from the customisability and the convenience, so you aren't getting much value out of it compared to cheaper RT keyboards. I also think that 8khz and wireless isn't the most necessary thing in the world for a keyboard, there needs to at least be measurements for their latency to justify the extra cost. @@B_M_A i said he mentioned it in the comments, he’s getting all defensive about how this keyboard starts at 89$ but this is misleading as yes it does start at 89$, but not the pro version, meaning not an aluminum chassis. Not to mention the other stuff that you have to buy.
Ok he might be not mega savy with modding boards but that’s just irrelevant to the convo, as other HE boards are better sounding stock. Not to mention the price, no words can describe glorious greediness atp
They thought making a fully customizable gaming keyboard was a good idea, but they forgot to make a good product in the first place.
PS: another video on the GMMK3 will be inbound as well 👍
He switches don’t have pins, like the leker switches. Unless there is a new gateron release I am unaware of no magnetic switch uses pins
@@Tlads21 Yes, that's correct-magnetic switches typically don’t come with pins, including the Leker switches. However, it would have been helpful for the reviewer to mention this detail, especially for viewers who may be new to the hobby or looking to get into it. Providing this kind of context is important, as it helps set expectations and gives a clearer understanding of how these switches differ from others. After all, many people rely on these reviews to make informed decisions.
@@Tlads21 Lekker switches have 2 pins xd
Glorious really put themselves far, far below the competition with this one. Now we wait for user reviews.
I love the keyboard but I may take it back. Over 400.00 price is just too weird for a keyboard.
Surely choosing to go w/ Hall Effect switches must've done this sound test dirty?
it plays a part but wooting and others sound WAY better than this so most of this is just typical glorious not having aclue
Listen to an Akko/Monsgeek HE sound test, or even a sound test of more budget boards like the IROK NA87 which cost
You lost me at 289 euros!!???!!!??? No f@#$ing way
Glorious are about 3 steps behind with this board. You can already get better quality boards for less than half the price. For example, you can get the bridge75 HE that totally destroys this glorious board with its sound and features and it only cost $109.
Keychron Q1 HE. No rattle, yes it’s only 1000hz wireless and wired and doesn’t have dual switch use. But it come out to $220 USD for a metal build, if I’m correct it’s half price. Insanely overpriced this company’s too greedy
Wooting 80HE
@@B_M_Atrue it’s a better experience I might get one myself., But it’s plastic at $200 and no wireless capabilities. Where as keychron Q1 HE($220) and Monsgeek MW1 HE($109-$129) just with not as good of a software. This keyboard is just sad. $409 for the same thing 😭 (being Metal, wireless, and Hall effect). The only advantage you get is dual use of mechanical and Hall effect switches. But not much people are going to use both.
This is a dreadful product no matter which way you flip it, overpriced for every variant, sounds absolutely horrific
This thing is an absolute mess. Sounds terrible and is more expensive than pretty much any equivalent alternative.
Keychron Q1 HE complete is 219
Wooting 80 HE complete 199
GMMK Pro 3 complete 369
Your sound "test" made it obvious how bad it is while you sat there and claimed otherwise. What a joke.
That's what you get when a company buys a review
What switches from other brands are compatible with this keyboard?
That intro was some of the best trolling ever. I thought you were serious for a second. Wait, that was trolling wasnt it? The sound is trash and the price is trash. This video had to be a big parody.
I’m confused? Or are u trolling?
@@TheTechne You made it seem like the keyboard is amazing, when clearly it's not. That's either some top-notch trolling, you are shilling, or just that out of touch with the current market.
@@jasonjennings8465 I stated in this video, as well as many times before that I am not a keyboardist, nor doing I agree with the snobby keyboard community space.
This is truly a perfect keyboard for a real life consumer like myself and many others!
@@TheTechne Not when you can get a better product for cheaper. You've been around long enough to know what a good keyboard sounds like. Give yourself more credit. Non-enthusiasts will choke on the price and go with a different brand. Enthusiasts will choke at the price and quality. Then go with a different brand.
@@jasonjennings8465 price? Dude it starts at $89, the consumer and pick what they want to allocate features and price.
packing so much? Not seeing anything new or exciting here. Just another 75 with a knob. Glorious are not great. I have a GMMK Pro and it's pretty crap if I'm honest, and I'm not seeing anything that makes me change my mind about this one. It sound quite poor. massively overprices, and massively outclassed by some much cheaper boards these days. Glorious... late to the party as usual.
Sorry but that keyboard does not sound good at all, it sounds awful, and even the cheapest versions are not good value at all compared to the competition that's out there right now. The higher priced versions are straight up robbery and the review itself sounds like a shill.
But imo, it at least offers more functionality than the asus Azoth extreme.
100$ keyboard from Ali sounds better, and no SOCD/snap tap as wooting or razer but still that pricey... come on..
you are not qualified to review keyboards if this is considered your best keyboard ever.
Is the space bar as clacky sounding if you orient it in the "correct" position?
When did keyboard community became so elitist? Sound is subjective you know. Yes they dont sound like lubed switches but they sound petty good for a stock version ....
WAY over priced with everything else that available on the market.
It starts at $89
@TheTechne that's for a 65% barebones ... no wire. For that price you can get the Mongeek MV1W V3 which is Bluetooth wireless, and full aluminum and for this to get that cheap you lose all of that.
@@TheTechneyeah but that's for a non-wireless 65% bare Bones. You can get a full aluminum wireless 75% keyboard some places for that and a fully built one for $129 from Keychron/lemokey or Akko
@@TheTechne where
@@TheTechne $190
Would rather get the Wooting 80HE than this lol
Why? Hype?
@@TheTechne half the price. They listen to their customers and add features somethings within a week. Haven't seen any other manufacturer act that way. Most don't make any additions or improvements and if they do it's a new keyboard and you have to buy that to get those additions/improvements.
It's more affordable and it looks better imo.
@@TheTechne Nah cause you are paying for much better sound much better software and just more quality wooting is a small brand while glorious is a huge corp smh just say you got paid you cant actually think the gmmk3 is a good keyboard for that price. maybe if it only cost like 180 for aluminum case and poly plate but that will make it cost so much more. stock wooting is meh but 10x better than what this sounds like.
so much people here talkin about how bad it sounds yet dont understand the concept of a silent switch
I will keep using this 45 dollar Klim Shift that is far more bang for the buck than all the high dollar crap on the market.
Soon as I saw the coiled cable, I knew everything I needed to 😞
Say i have the old gmmk pro, can i use my old switches on here? On top of that can i use the old switches and get the benefits of changing acutation and all those other features?
you can use your old switches, but to adjust the actuation you will need HE switches
@@TheTechne sweet! Thanks for taking the time to answer my question 🤟
It’s crazy how overpriced this is. Also sounds like hot garbage. I thought Asus has shit keyboards, but this takes the number one spot. Also, no browser software and he switch with hole at the bottom, the lube will leak
Spectacular red, black and white. Amazing video
Does this keyboard or does this manufacturer have the full keyboard, or are keyboards nowadays really are just these crappy 65% version?
Flip 6p might be the board for you. Everything you need with the possibility for a southpaw numpad.
sounds bad
Pov the worst sounding keyboard.
its an amazing looking board but my god. the price to customize is just astronomical.
Its compleatly over priced and doesnt sound that great for what it costs . If somebody is willing to pay the premium just for the custom part i dont realy see it . If you want pure performance you get a Whooting and just put it in a metal case for custom builds you go Keychron . What is the target for this the Apple guy who brainless spends money becouse shiny
All the comments in here tell me you're broke without admitting you're broke. xD There is a huge difference in build quality between the GMMK3 and a Wooting, both have their respective applications and both are actullay good choices, its all about your budget at this point and the people bashing the GMMK3 couldnt cry broke more, Pocket white knights come to the rescue to bash me but I say ya'll broke and mad....
spacebar looks upside down no?
@@Watcher369 I always flip all my sb’s
Love the concept! I'm always excited at sites that let you build custom stuff like this. Even the original Motorola Moto X had me going crazy and that was just picking the shell and button colors and adding text lol. As for this, I checked out the site myself, it's fun but I don't see myself buying into it yet. I am still using a GMMK2 (your review of that helped me decide by the way) and I still am having fun customizing that myself! I swapped out the original switches for Gamakay Pegasus silent tactiles and flashed the firmware on it to use QMK so I could use it with Signal RGB.
Now I'd maybe be a little more onboard if we knew how available all those little customizations will be on their own. If I could start with the basic prebuilt initially, but maybe every so often head to Micro Center and buy something swap out that'd be neat. If glorious can support this board well and add more and more ways to customize it, that'd be awesome.
we need a keyboard strap/ band like wootinghe
Great video techne ❤
People complaining about the board and the subjective opinion of sound completely miss the purpose of the channel.
