About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on RUclips.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr. Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine. Terada earned the title Master Sushi Chef by becoming the standing head sushi chef & can serve Fugu (Japan Licensed) to the public.

Chef Hiroyuki Terada is using the Minonokuni Matsu-1573 210mm Yanagi. Super Blue Steel. Can also be used for breaking down whole fish and chickens. But normally for slicing, sashimi, vegetables, meat etc.. This is Chef Hiro's custom specked knife.

Hiro, I never heard of you or your channel until I saw Guga's video of the Wasabi dry age experiment. I decided to check out your channel after seeing that video and I just wanted to say that I am a big fan now! I love your videos and find them so incredibly fascinating and interesting! I've had tons of these with salt & lemon, right on the beach. I used to pull them right out of the Aegean myself when I was living in Greece. But they were all medium size...fit in palm of hand. These are the largest, most meaty urchins I've ever seen!
Urchins jam packed full of iodine.
They have even larger ones and so good when coming off the boat.

The basic requirement for a host is to have a wider vocabulary than "Oh wow!" with wide rolling eyes at the most basic of thing. I get he's trying to sell it, but this shit sells itself. I fell head over heels in love with Japanese food whilst living in LA around 1985. As Japanese food is expenisive, and hard to find in northern England, Hiro's videos are a tough watch for me!
It’s not all expensive, the cheap stuff is just e-Coli adjacent.
Japanese food isn't expensive unless its sushi and seafood. Ramen, Yakisoba and the sorts are affordable. The cheaper stuff is definitely carb heavy though. I can imagine though in England, Sushi = Japanese food. When I was in London, I was shocked how expensive Asian food (even if you ignore the foreign exchange rate) is compared to back home of relative quality (I'm from Toronto), but it is expected when it is an uncommon cuisine with not a lot of competition.

Leo definitely gives it to you straight. He is opening himself up to different tastes and textures. It's not important to absolutely like something. That will never happen. What is important is to at least be open minded go try something. You don't have to like it, which it is clear from his reaction and also what he has been exposed to. But he is willing to try and give his own honest opinion about it and that's all anyone can ask for.
All we ask is to be open minded and try and Leo did just that. :)
i liked how Dana White instantly regretted letting his crew taste it, they were honest and his face screamed "hey cameras still on im gonna fucking murder you"
Here in greece we have small uni but we absolutely love them, we just put some very nice olive oil and lemon and eat it with sourdough bread, amazing delicacy! Sweet,creamy,delicious, and packed with ocean smell and flavor. It's a must try!

Sea Urchin is a acquiring taste. The first time I had it I didn’t particularly like it, but at the same time I kept ordering more. Even to this day I’m unsure I like the taste of the ocean in my mouth but I’ll never stop ordering it when I get the chance.

It is like needle if you step on it. Then the spines crumble as you try to remove them. We used to break them open when scuba diving because fish would come out of the woodwork to eat them. We'd break one, hide behind a rock and them spear a California sheepshead if they showed up. The first time I ate uni I thought it was slimy because of its texture. Took a little getting used to, but definitely like it now!

Where do you purchase your uni from? I have been able to find the 4-ounce trays, but not any live ones. I purchased some many years ago on a whim and they were delicious! I saw the ikura, but what was the other caviar? Osetra?
