This is my interpretation of the iconic (and very spooky) song from Hocus Pocus. Stealing children to gobble up... it's so dark! ...As is my video (sorry about that).
This song reminds me of all the lore of dark creatures stealing children in the night if they wander or misbehave. This is also a tribute to those beasties, from faeries to namahage to Baba Yaga!

It's an original score for hocus pocus. It's not a real poem by edgar allan poe or anything.
That's just a rumor. So the original lyrics from the movie are correct, and there's no additional lyrics.
You must be referring to Erutan’s cover. She stated that she changed MAGIC to SHADOWS. I like both. 🙂

Kate's version, Karliene's version and your version are just really up there, so I hold this song quite dear to me! Of course, Hocus Pocus is a brilliant film too! ^0^

As a heads up, this poem has been falsely attributed to Edgar Allen Poe all over the Internet. It was someone in Myspace literally over a decade a ago who added the extra lines to the song and lyrics which were originally composed for the hocus pocus movie.
