Your Fall palette is perfection!! I like to add in a deep wine color to mine, because we have so many maple trees that color from golden yellow to wine red - almost purple.

The Fire Engine Red is just right for some of my leaves and it is no on my list to get. Birmingham ink is one of my favorites too. What a great idea! I’ve only got as far as Diamine Golden Sands in Lamy Terracotta [M nib] for start of October - set up before I moved house on 30 September - watching you during rests from unboxing. TTFN🤗

That is an interesting line-up of pen/ink combo's. I have the same 3 Jinhao model pens except my X-450 is Steel with Gold trim. I also used it to install a Zebra G Calligraphy nib in it. It takes a little effort to reshape the nib to get it to work properly. I like the Alt-Goldgrun matched with the 9019, but I had another thought on the ink you might consider. That would be Diamine Spring Green, but then also from Diamine is Woodland Green & Sherwood Green which are a bit darker. I recently got a bottle of the Fire Engine Red, and I'm a bit anxious to use it once I clean the pen I had in mind to ink it up. Enjoy October!!
Hey Jim, it's not necessarily a dark green colour I was after. Both inks you suggested I find more represent the varied shades of greens that signify Spring to me. I much prefer the olive-green nature of Alt-Goldgrün that signifies Autumn to me. And I dare you to use that RO ink. It's a gorgeous, bright and fiery red. Also, I've heard of Zebra G Callig nibs but have not had the chance to use one as yet. Do you do a lot of drawing with it or mainly writing?
@@wildlyimaginable Fair enough on the green ink. I do have other red inks, but I will get around to using the FER pretty soon. Honestly, I'm not much of an artist so what I try to do is some doodling rather than drawing. I'm also writing with it at well. I tend to have a heavy hand and since the nib has such a sharp point it's helping to train me to use much less pressure. And I have plenty of time to practice!!
@@zeus52452 Me too, more of a doodler than an artist. Been having fun drawing small 9-box Zentangles as a way to use my ink up each month. Makes sense about the G nib's purpose for you. I saw that it had a sharp point and was wondering if I should get then realized it would probably be more interesting to have than a need.
Thanks Donna! I have a long list (15 at last count 😆) of Vinta inks on my wish list. So, I am only now finding out about Noodler's founder am not pleased. I stopped purchasing the inks a long while ago but not because of that. Their inks were always inconsistent (especially the Baystate Blue that heavily stained a TWSBI pen that took ages to wash out. 😤). I received that Southwest Sunset in a ink stash someone sent to me. Got 5 in that stash and Southwest is the only one I kept. Makes me feel ick about products with backstories like theirs.
@@wildlyimaginable That's the sad thing. There's some really fun colours but I just won't. I also agree about the inconsistency. That much batch variation would drive me crazy. The vintas are sheeny goodness and some mad combinations. They will be a real problem for me when they start being more available.

Living in South Florida - I miss the change of seasons so much 😢 I love all of the inks as swatches but not all as writers - I have a hard enough time reading darker inks, much less the lighter ones! Will be curious to here your thoughts after using them for a while FYI - I pull the boots and jackets out if the temperature reaches 60 degrees (that’s how you know you are a true Floridian 🤪)

I love to see the properties in a larger swatch but it's the writing example that matters more to me. I am always intrigued by the results and my feelings about the PIPs I choose at the end of the month. 😆 Except for BPC Root Cellar, which I was hoping wrote more golden yellow than the lighter brown that shows up (😒), I'm good with all the others. As for boots...I get you girl. Temps are 45 - 67-ish degrees here and I love these lower, cooler temps right now.
I maybe could have less pens inked up, if I were to stop buying new ones! 😂 In addition to my cute M2, I bought an Asvine P20 in Amber, and it seriously writes soooo well!

Autumn is my favourite season... I love the cooler weather, the 'dimmed' sunlight and the warmer colors of nature 💛🧡🤎 So obviously, your currently inked is a 10 😍 I've had Alt-golgrün in several pens since June, I love this ink !

Yu-yake (sunset) I even write random stuff just to see those beautiful colours in action and stare at them 😂😂
Wow RC! I had vaguely heard there was an issue with brand owner for Noodler’s but admit I did not do much research then. After your comment I did, and found a post on Reddit that goes into much more detail about him. 👀 WOW! Definitely makes me rethink having these inks in my collection. When you know better, you do better.

It's spring where I am but loving these fall colours.
Let's be real, these ink colours are for any time of the year, for all seasons, but definitely represent Autumn well. Happy Spring! 🪴
My fall colors always include a nice plum too. I seem to get my inspiration from fall mums. The colors of those are so lovely

I think my two favorites are Root Cellar and Alt Goldrun
I’m so glad I’m getting to use BPC Root Cellar in a pen. So far I’ve only used it once to mix inks. Thoroughly enjoying writing with Alt-Goldgrün.
I like the Noodler's orange and the Rohrer and Klingner green the most.
Very fall choices all around Gracs 🍁🍏🌰

Vinta inks are a delight. I stopped using Noodler's some time back even though some of the colours are nice. Nice fall spread there.
