A slight correction, there are 2 dragons still existing in the lore, the more famous one is the Golden Dragon searched for by the Golden Kobolds in Haless.
And one other in "the new world" aka Alentir, in the Ynnic region who is praised as a god by the people in its region, i think its either a mission or a decision, but you can converse with it and if your lucky get a Dragonborn 6/6/6 heir
hence the cheeky "in theory" statement
There’s also supposedly the sleeping Dragon up in the far north no?
"In theory" he says. I've seen your balrijin save.
I did some digging, and apparently there are a few more, back in the day you could summon one as the Kobolds with a large enough horde (Cant Confim)
You also fight one was Black Demense, though i did hear that what you are doing is reawakening a dead one with necromancy, though im not sure about that part.
Those are the only 4 mentions i could find
You're
"Lorent is kind of like England and Gawed is kind of like France" my eye twitched hearing that, Lorents whole thing is pretentiousness and wine, and Gaweds whole thing is pretentiousness and shit weather
map colour association go brrr
Lorent is definetly the France counterpart. They focus on wine and have little vassals ar the start and the names of their cities are very french-sounding.
Yeah this mission tree is rather old, i am doing The Command right now and boy ohh boy is the mission tree cool! Bit of a spoiler but the mission tree changes based on where you are campaigning
The Command is incredibly fun.
You just gotta know how to deal with its two main disasters. If you don’t, your run is finished
Oh, I didn't realize The Command got missions. Guess I've gotta load up Anbennar again
The Kobolds are one of my favorite races in Anbennar.
Honestly though you should to a Harimari run!
anbennar has to be my favourite mod for eu4
Ah Anbennar, the mode i still fear to touch as i just don't want to re-learn EU4 but love watching for the shenigans you can get up to.
I recommend it, there's nothing really to learn. For the most part it's just eu4 with a magic system that you barely get to use, (tied to a personality trait)
You can start with a more vanilla-like country like Verne to get used to the geography and the main events of the game, as well as some basic mechanics like the mage and adventurer estates.
After that you can go deeper on new campaigns. Say getting into magic as the Magisterium, artificery as gnomes or kobolds, escann mechanics as an adventurer state, dwarven mechanics as a dwarven hold or expedition and so on.
There really isn't that much to learn, the learning curve isn't comparable to something like MEIOU and taxes
A good starting nation would prb be the magistirium or some opm in escann
@@ravivik3378 Bro what? You're trolling
Lezz goo
Anbenaar campaigns is literally Hard-core fantasy Lore Galore
No geology post because I know fuck all about the geology of Anbennar. Check out the next Quarbit video of the regular world to see more geology posts
the dragoncoast mountain range was formed by the tectonic interactions between the west cannorian and gerudian plates, it contains minerals such as iron, copper, and small deposits of gold. (idk lol)
@@QuarbitGaming that sounds like fairly standard ore generation for an orogenic province (a region of mountain-building)
For future kobold runs, I recommend redscale rather than bluescale. While they do have a bit lower dev, they have a better ruler, better trade, can attack the gnomes immediately for feudalism, and can still annex bluescale in one war.
Personally I always attack bluescale while im already occupying all of mainland gnomes and am just waiting for ticking warscore.
great Quarbit, now I have to start a new playthrough
(love it ! Excellent video mate..liked that you explained the RP side, these EU4 playthroughs are always interesting)
If you ever visit anbennar again I would recommend playing one of the adventurer nations to the east, my personal favorite is iron hammers into hammer home
Lorent is definitely the France of Anbennar instead of Gawed with their vassal situation at game start and being the general enemy of the EoA
Plus it sounds more French and they make a lot of Wine 🍷
I'd say it's a mixture of both England and France, considering the whole civil war situation and it's similarities to the war of the roses. Gawed is more of a typical Slavic nation analog, something along the lines of the commonwealth.
Quarbit playing the Kobolds for his first game is shockingly weird
Kobolds, the second most adoptable little kreatures in any RPG, only behind Goblins
Please make more anbennar content it's simply amazing
You played kobolds like a boss for someone who doesn't know the world of Anbennar backward and forward ^.^
Strongly recommend Venail if you want to see the new world a bit its pretty insane when you dig through the mission tree
Yeah I heard him say 'colonies were eh' and thought immediately 'someone's never done a Venail playthrough and gone full elf imperialism.
@@therat1117 who knew that Aelantir had so many AA batteries lying around
@@Infidi Eco-friendly ones too!
Please dont state that Anbennar has just 'more' missions than vanilla, it prb has x2 or x3 by now with the recent halless update, even opms have huge mission trees
Based off what I know about the lore I think it is more accurate to say that Lorent is Anbennar's France and that Gawed is Anbennar's Russia. However the analogy that they basically have the Engish-French rivalry is 100% correct.
Isn't Grombar moreso Anbennar's Russia?
This was a great video!
19:16 Stars Elf are only Moon elf that have retaken there legacy and since ascended back to there origin basically if you play as Venail you have a crazy path you can go to create Aelnar quite fun to do whit the ambition to conquer all of Aelantir and depending on who win the civil war or if you avoid it manage the ruinborn as either a integrate part of your Empire or battery cell to fuel your ambition yeah the elf on this mod are kinda a hole
broke: integrating ruinborns
woke: battery go brrrrr
Ah yes, the mod that made me fell in love with EU4... Can't wait for a video while you play as Elves...
Fun fact the releasable tag of eaglecrest uses tanned kobold hides as armour
I expel the kobolds everytime lmao
>:(
@@QuarbitGaming in my defense, they horde money, and I need money
Gnomepilled
There is actually quite a bit in Alentir (the new world) for (some of) the natives, but if you want a really interesting colonial game, play as Venail: they are elves that claim to be descended from the Precursor civilization which formerly owned the entire "new world" (the reason for the big, perfectly circular crater). Their mission tree has them migrate from their starting island to build their own empire in the new world. This is a really interesting and fun way to play, once you have migrated... well. You'll see.
When I finish my Austria playthrough I'm going to give these guys a run. Thanks for the recommendation!!
My personal favourite nazi elves
By "youll see" i think you mean become either pure evil in 3 ways and only 99 percent evil one way.
@@liamtan865 you mean the ruinborn don't want to power up my flying castle?
@@Infidi yes.
This is a pretty neat mod, not really an EU4 player but this has me intrigued.
This was a great video! Perhaps you should make another with one of the newer/better mission trees?
Frosthide is very fun. they get an immortal demon as a ruler and whenever you conquer a region you end up decolonizing it and moving all of its dev back to your main ogre area
I expected dwarves so you could diggy, diggy holes, but this was good too
It's the other way. Gawed is like England and Lorent is like France.
I’ve been enjoying my Kobildzan run quite a bit.
Gawed kinda shattered after their first war against me and have never recovered, but Lorent is still putting up a huge fight.
Always saw Lorent as a decentralized Angevin Empire, at least if you follow the lore, and Gawed as a decen./medieval France. I think western cannor was one of the regions that didnt get an update since launch, just minor modifications.
Well, there were some mission trees added (Great Ording and Reveria, for example), but big bois like Lorent or Deranne really need an update
@@TimPaler Yes, forgot about those, but aside Reveria and Derenne the other lorentish minor dont have a great affect in the game (and lore). I hope that when the update on the region comes both Gawed and Lorent get more decentralized in the form of vassals since, acording to the primer at least, they are the most feudal nations in the west
@@TimPaler Since they are major global colonial powers, we are waiting to redo them until we have sarhal and insaya filled in.
This is better then all DLCs PDX release recently
I've been playing Anbennar for a while now, and my favorite run was definitely Azkare. They might lack the flare of the Jadd or the pride of Aelnar, but goddamn are they satisfying to play.
Gnomes and kobolds are archenemies
well, a settlement in the new world unites kobolds, goblins and gnomes into one state and it seems to work out for them, so not really (just like goblins and dwarves which used to be friends in the mod before dwarves got greedy)
The small island off the coast has Damestear (and it never goes away). Develop it a bit.. infinite money.
Anbennar slowly becoming mainstream - fantadtic!:)
Kobolds are cool, they become Gnomes v2 after they get Artificery. Try Feiten next if you want to demonstrate some of the newer Mission Trees.
I'm 100% sure this mod is where paradox got the idea of expanding and branching mission trees.
I really like play dwarves in this mod. Very unique.
ANBENNARRRR!!!!!
do a castanor run, or a dwarven run. let people experience the full might of anbennar
i think that lorent is more like france and gawed is like russia cause a lot of their ideas are about manpower
Gawed is more PL-Commonwealth inspired, however most of the nations don't have clearly defined parallels, and take inspiration from a lot of both real world stuff, and stuff from the maker's imaginations
Gawed is a lot more like poland, they have an entire estate that seeks to abolish the monarchy in the 1600s and establish a magnate-led republic (which is kind of culture inclusive, seeing as it's called the northern league and annexes bjarnrik in the lore)
@@neighbourpl7317 i've never played them i just saw their ideas, but now i see
Developers said that Gawed was inspired by the North from Martin's saga
more kobold runs are welcome
all hail the kobold cannon
Do Adshaw next if you haven’t played them yet, my favorite country in Anbennar (their MT expands A LOT)
YES YES YES!
3k hours in eu4, probably 1k alone in Anbennar so much content in it.
i found this mod a month ago and still havent touched vanilla since
Sometimes you just need to tip your hat to the sheer talent and dedication of our modding community. Cheers!
Kobold supremacy.
kobolds have a really hard start.
the gold scale kobolds have an easier and harder start, but their mission tree is amazing. probably my favorite campaign so far.
Appreciate it,
I worked hard on that baby!
please do more anbennar videos
"Maybe Star Elves I dunno"
😬 Definitely not Star Elves
Kobolds are great but my favorite race are definitely the trolls
Bro you should check out Order of the Iron Sceptre/Esthil/Black Demesne. Maybe the best tag in the mod so far.
Anbennar is the Kaiserreich of EU4
Kaiserreich is very over rated though. It guts the game in favour the story. It's good for one or two game but after that it's just super tedious because you know what's going on already but have to sit and wait for the game to force feed you more lore to play the game.
@@JesusChrist-bx8ge exactly
Sexy lizards? Count me in!
Anbennar in Vic3? Holy shit when??? :OOOO
Big troll crush puny lizard man
no
Victoria3 is getting an Anbennar mod eventually? :o ohooooooooo
I am so happy that more youtubers are playing Anbennar. I hope you check out some more Anbennar sometime, I'd love to see more content end up on the channel. It's a bit of a lore binge but there's so much cool stuff in this mod that makes me reluctant to go back to Vanilla sometimes.
He was playing a Harpy supremacy campaign before he started this one.
This mod changed the way I live my life
Wow doing all that from memory and acting like you are reacting to the game is actually really hard. This video is the reason I started playing anbennar and I am watching it again. What a mod, one of my favorite eu4 videos btw.
part 2?
unlikely, given the performance of the video
@@QuarbitGaming aw, it seems anbennar videos are cursed to poor performance, first laiths video, now this? Corin why!? :(
Eu4 dnd be like
Based Bluescales
does anyone else think there are lots of weird things happening in the game now that never used to happen?
my recent playthrus castile & portugal keep getting beaten by morocco & tunis
aragon beat castile in my current playthru, france beat castile, then hungary beat austria & conquered them entirely,
then hungary got a pu over france (much bigger than hungary) and now russia is fighting a war against hungary to get france as a pu
meanwhile brandenburg seems to nearly always get eaten completely, denmark and sweden do miles better than they used to
my last playthru bohemia easily beat austria & took them out completely
i think the game is going completely in the wrong direction. its supposed to be a historical strategy game.. the ai now does completely random stuff
its not even slightly predictable... for me, i like a game where its mostly historically accurate with a few minor changes here and there.. not all completely
random, otherwise we might as well play a game of thrones modded version of eu4. morocco was colonising all the west of africa on my last playthru...
they have completely messed this game up!
please continue the save
Told you
MOREEEEEEEEEEE
team should make a vicky 2 mod instead bc vicky 3 is scuffed af
More anbennar? :(
Gawed is more Russia than England. "England" is Venail. Sea Elves.
Not really. England ain't racist enough and GB was historically very successful (and fought the nazis) while Aelnar gets kind of crapped on by everyone after they do some "uncool" things (become the nazis)
I beg for colonial run
Huh, strange
Imo when talking about most ambitious EU4 projects you simply cannot forget about Voltaire's Nightmare. Not only does it add countless new provinces but it adds some missions, start dates, great projects and so innumerable new tags.
Does look like Europe to me
the world is loosely inspired by earth
I love anbennar so much but I really need a better pc, late game is unplayable
is it just some guys dnd campaign mixed with eu4
given the existence of adventurer factions, probably yeah
Actually it was one guys university dissertation on world building
Anbennar is a great mod in itself but i still learned to hate it because of the completely mental development team behind it. they overdevelop humans and dwarfs and leave the rest mostly alone and some parts of the world almost not touched at all. Other than that they believe that the only thing that makes the game worth playing are their disasters they put into ALL of their nations one after another and not just one no .... a ton of disasters which are completely overloaded and designed to completely ruin your nation ten times over. I played almost everything in this mod already and by now i refuse to play anything that has any of their disasters in it because it just ruins the game. And those options i have to play get fewer and fewer every patch. soon i will have to drop that mod.
how tf poeple commenting on this hours ago it shows that it was published 1 minute ago?
Probably Patreon or Donator's early access.
