Theodoro: New best One culture nation
Inca: New best One faith nation
Very weird development that Quarbit became a "main" of the New World
It’s a positive one! Might show positive development for EU5 New World content.
He makes it fun to watch tho
the whole mummified rulers keeping their land was actually a huge problem for the incas irl, since most of the empire was conquered by 2-3 rulers and then all the ones after that had nothing left
I guess their government was some weird necroligarchy
Venice being in a personal union under France while France has the von Habsburg dynasty might be the most cursed thing I've ever seen
just your average habsburg-rizz at play tho... They could get a PU over the pope if they bother to put on makeup in the morning to fancy up their jaw-line.
I've seen arguably worse.
Try a triple alliance between Ottomans, Spain and England.
THAT LASTED 50 FUCKING YEARS
i swear weirdest things happen in europe when you play outside of europe
A venice unioned by france is one of the most cursed things I've seen in this game
Even worse, France has the von Habsburg dynasty
Finally, Inca. You earned a subscription for meowing out early access from Paradox.
for doing what sorry?

I can tell I'm getting old, because I'm still confused every time I see Blue Portugal for a few seconds.
I swear about 70% of my EUIV games have been as the Inka. this. this is the DLC I have been waiting for since I got this game in middle school.
Same. Inca or Sunda are my pet favorites
Inca has always been one of my favorites, glad they've been done proper justice!
Portugal taking those colonies and then immediately dismantling them was a heck of a moment.
"sire, we have dismantled these towns"
"Good"
"The natives are back again though"
"Oops"
Paradox made a new world nation fun?! Unthinkable
35:05 you in fact, did have a missionary guy
I'm referring to the fact that I didn't hire him, so he's not contributing to the 15.1% missionary strength
Great New World guide, can you make one for a Vinland Coastal World conquest?
Never give up.
@@sizanogreen9900 had no intention
@@rawwsetthat's the guide. Push through late game boredom to get every last province
I absolutely adore when Paradox makes these fantastic AU mission trees.
The Aztecs invade with more troops than you did on ck2
Man that looks fun, I liked them before too, I have a great memory of when I was noob, forming the Incas and then getting eaten by the Portuguese like 2 years after
in 11 years and thousands of hours i had no idea rebels spawned in their highest devd province
So excited for this update. The mayans were my first major campaign in this game and I cant wait to finally come back to them.
I love the inca. I like what they added here. But I feel it is a little bit too easy. What they seem to be missing is a real gatekeeper challange at the beginning.
My Anbennaraboo heart has the perfect solution tho. Just make the columbian exchange diseases a ridiculously apocalyptic disaster which they kinda were irl anyways.
Would make rising like an unstoppable phoenix afterwards more satisfying than just curbstomping the Europeans which kinda should be the more powerfull ones at the start at least...
@@NextBatterUp *EXACTLY.*
Thank you. My first playthrough with this patch was the Inca. Did the expansion too slow and didn't follow my missions well enough. Spain settled Columbia around 1490 and around 1492 they declared war on me and brought in Columbia, Spanish Mexico, and Portugal. I just ALT+F4'd.
Did you check what they wanted? 1492 is pretty early, so I don't know if they'd go directly for territory yet. It's quite possible you could do the same thing as I did in the video
@@Quarbit Yea, it was very early. Decided to restart and went WAY better. Didn't see a colonizer until the early 1510s, and even then it was in Brazil and La Plata.
I am addicted to the Incas in Universalis, kee up.
Thank god someone did an incan run. Plsss do an aztec one next
absolutehabibi did an aztec run if you want to check it out
@@nanafundesu i also wanna see the only vtuber i watch do it too.
Quarbit doing anything he can to not say Wanka. They're just Wanka's mate. Say it. SAAAAY IT!
nah because I *know* it'll be clipped out of context lol
Eu4 quarbing in the americas?!, you love to see it
With that much missionary strenght and a few ideas stacking (drop expansion explo later and take indigeonos admin diplo religios) you could do 1 faith fairly easily i believe. (You, not me im bad at the game)
I cannot wait to form the Great Chilean Empire
Just to see what it was like. I tried actually keeping the religious idols. Yeah -40% gold sucks but level 5 advisors are literally free and the Inca government authority bar is permanently maxed out so I get the full buffs and don't have to deal with things like inflation and i still have a ton of money
Can’t believe you’re the first person I’ve seen make sunset colonies
TheStudent has made a video about them with the Maya, and discovered some Fanny exploits. 250% tarrif effieceny go brrrr
*funny
I think with all the missions in this patch giving different nations 'natural enemies' it leads to them seeming to be more open to alliances with you if you aren't one of those.
Everyone shall Praise the Sun!
Could you please make an aztec guide? I prefer your way of showing each step compared to other creators
Great video! The Incas look really fun to play
What is it about this mans voice that almost makes me want to swap teams?
the altering of history being a core part of a nation's identity is genuinely horrifying to me!
what history? our nation began with the ascendance of our current ruler...
Resident New World Nation Expert, Quarbit of Norway
The separatists spawning in the highest dev is almost always true, not always, it will get tripped up at times, I have definitely had the game give me rebels on a different province, in my experience I think it happens when the original holder of the province doesn't have the same culture as the province itself, it seems to spawn it in smaller dev ones in this instance.
like 99.999% of the time it works and then the 0.001% you'll move your army onto the province and it'll reduce the unrest just enough to disqualify it, or yeah some other things ruins it
Hype for Part 2 and maybe 3!
I feel like you could have gotten a lot more conquest in the mid game if you were more willing to have vassals. Just seemed like the only real wall at that point is gov cap
Cool video :)
Why didn't you pay for unjustified demands when conquering all of Mexico though? It were conquest wars, right?
I'm not actually sure, now that you mention it. They weren't cobelligerents either. Maybe it's some interaction with new world territory as a reformed country, like with other colonizers. Could also be something from ideas maybe
@@Quarbit Since you reformed, you were no longer considered 'Primitive,' and non-Primitive nations don't take a diplo penalty for unjustified annexation.
Would it be worth taking the first exploration idea and hiring a couple conquistadors, then dumping it for expansion? It wastes some diplo but the conquistadors might be handy for tracking down the colonizers. I assume that explorers are no help because you can't get light ships until you reform anyway.
Nah, you can just ask for maps pretty reliably
Exploration comes in handy for diplo range if you want an early sunset invasion.
Expansion is a matter of taste. You can usually grow fester by eating European colonial nations than by colonizing yourself.
Ok it's been a month, so just thought I'd update everyone on the situation.
Firstly, AI is less aggressive now, the devs nerfed Castile and Portugal's habit to immediately attack you, they also no longer get claims on Inca. (what!?)
Also, The Monuments cost reduction for Inca got nerfed, along with the mission to upgrade 3 monuments now requires them to be tier 3 instead of tier 2 (WTF!). So, you need to fork out a total of around 14 000 ducats to complete that mission, which upgrades Cusco... by the time you can afford to even finish it, you'll be around tech 16/18 and well into the Absolution era, already having access to the building the mission offers early... lame. Devs just adjusted the mission requirement without even bothering to adjust the rewards too.
Meanwhile, they haven't even bothered fixing Sunrise and Sunset Invasion CV options. If you invade you can only... vassalize, yep, that is all you're allowed to do, you can't take cores either. Which means if you invade a big country and by the time you're ready to invade, the guys you'll be invading will be big, such as Japan being unified, china still intact as well as France, England and Spain (which all consolidate before 1500 now, for some reason UK always forms early in the game with the AI now being so aggressive). That those you do invade are too big to vassalize because doing so exceeds the warscore cap of 100! Devs FIX THE CVs!!!! GIVE US TAKE PROVINCE! FFS! What is the point in the CV if it is useless. To even unlock it requires you to build a Fleet capable of carrying an invasion death stack of 40. And to unlock it requires a lot of effort, reward that effort!
How tf did Venice fall unter a PU under France?!
Have anyone noticed that France had a Habsburg ruler?
tried to do this, result: monarch dies December 28th 1444 aged 24. Congrats.
well at least it can't happen a second time
probably
Lol I'm having so much fine. My expansion has been a lot slower. I reformed off castille. They had a colony in Hispaniola..any, as soon as i reformed, i declared war on them.
Im at 30% force limit and no navy.
I wasn't feeling well, and stepped away. Left the game running for like 2 hours.
I came back and 3 years had passed and catille had sieged down to bogota with a 30 stack and portugal had a 22 stack marching to liberate their argentinian colony.
I had 22k exiled in the jungle by brazil, and 12k sieging Argentina.
Long story short. I managed to get war reps from Portugal. Building navy to invade Hispaniola. Spain has zero manpower.
Me who keeps having Pachacuti die within the first 5 years 😂
given the extended wait, is it not a viable exercise to colonize north and go after the Aztecs?
Can you get a claim adjacent to an occupied province of someone you're currently fighting?
Inti-maxing will be a great thing to try.
LET'S GOOOOOOOO
Part 2 would be mondo cool
inca is my most played nation lol
lets go part 2
I'm playing this now. Spain have just appeared in Brazil I should be able to reach them in two colonies time(currently in south Colombia.) France have just started a colony in north Colombia right next to Panama. Should I cancel my current Colony and start a new one right next to France to reform faster. Downside they won't have colonial instruction spawned so I won't gain that from them. It's 1497 ATM.
I actually find cuzco easier than ever. I found it totally unnecessary to focus anything.
When I played Incas before, I went with Quito, which is arguably the worst country to pick! (They're not actually Andean culture, so I got to accept no-one after forming an Empire)
watching after a long time, bruh i thought the vtuber thing was a temporary bit haha
you mean a temporary quar-bit?
yeppiee
LETS GO
Everywhere but the balkans received new content 😭😭
I don't get nearly the same amount of Authority as you do doing basically the same thing, what am I missing? You jump by 25 authority before your first reform and then lowering autonomy gives you the other 25 you need while I get 0.05 or something for lowering authority and I'm still at 62 in 1461 no reforms done wtf
At 6:10, you can see I'm still coring multiple provinces.
At 6:52, I reduce the autonomy of those provinces after stating them (off-screen), which increases authority by 25 (5 per province, but more specifically because autonomy is reduced by 25% in each province. Each 1% autonomy change = 0.2 authority change, which *also applies to event rewards and missions*)
Don't raise autonomy, it has the reverse effect of lowering authority.
Also having high-autonomy provinces lowers the passive gain of authority.
Take authority in every event.
@@Quarbit must've been some autonomy event I missed that lowered it because I did reduce it... or I seriously mis-clicked. Another question, I'm in 1512, things are going okay, but I can't finish 'The Qollqas' mission as I lack 15% fort defence. I only have 3.9% from power projection, I have no idea where to get the remaining FD from. Just hire an advisor if I get one or if an event pops? Because you got it without going defensive ideas.
30:37 yes I used the advisor
28:12
TWO OR THREE?!?!?!?
First time trying this strat and my leader died within 2 years, leaving me in a 14 year regency. Rip, heh heh
bro just restart at that point 💀
@@Quarbit yeah, that's why I said it was my first try, heh heh
Yk Quarbit it took me a second to get used to you becoming a vtuber but its nice
this is the way
not ironmode?
I don't trust early access with ironman, I've learned my lesson with that already
I tried to block them from colonizing the ameicas by colonizeing thr cost first....BIG mistake. Ended up wasting my time, and now europe is to strong even without the new world. 😢 Wasted 10hrs gameplay
VON HABSBURG FRANCE?
NOICE 😮
I wonder if Synthist's video would have been any different under this patch?
ruclips.net/video/sTH_kdyYgy0/видео.html
first time viewer, and the AI anime is hard/ to watch/ first impression is weird... would much rather have you just be a person and show yourself. haha good video tho
AI? is that what the kids are calling face tracking these days? :P
The real question is: why would anyone colonize Europe of all places?
well, it would be a good livestock exchange at least. lots of arable land, lumber, and minerals. coal as well, especially in germany, poland, and ukraine
on a darker note, plenty of labour through the Inca's mitma system (resettling conquered peoples around the empire)
in the game you get the 3 end trade nodes, so that's pretty good
I liked gimmie my part 2 slop
pootis
Rgn.
I swear content creators just have stupid luck or I pissed off some god somewhere. Pacha dies in 1555 every time for me. *Edit This guide is great, I just have really unfortunate rolls for death chance.
we call it "streamer luck" around these parts
first
I can't believe Pdx expects me to pay for this bullshit. For people who don't know. Imagine Austria unifiying the HRE+ all of Western Europe that easily, in the first 15 years of the game, from missions. And no other nation is developed at all. This is the Inca experience according to Pdx. Also, Perú has no coast whatsoever, wtf. I guess the #1 region in the world producing blueberries, grapes, asparragus, etc doesn't exist, neither do the ancient cultures who constructed cities and farmland since 6000 years ago. Nope.
And they still have lvl 1 tech same as nomad natives. Even though there were 10-20 million people and many cities with advance urban technological development in what would become the area conquered by the Inca.
Well, what am i surprised about, Peru in Victoria 3 also has stone age tech, even though we had our 1st university un the 1540's and by independence had 5 all over the country, but i according to PDX we don't even know cattle ranching, much less know how to read and write by 1836.
would love to see this carried forward, how early can you get a one faith with this
