Architectural reform event is part of a set of events called "reform events" that only happen in countries that have a parliament. Which explains why you've never seen it in hundreds of hours of EU4.
"We're all on the same page, except for Naples, who yearn for death and are being granted it."
My sides
One time I was watching one of your videos and my roommate walked by and said "why is there a little blond twink bouncing around in the corner" and since then I watch them when I'm home alone.
I do still watch them though c:
the seed has been planted, they'll be a vtuber watcher in 3-6 months
Seeing you in the comment section is like running into one of my professors in public (in a good way, lmao)
France: “You’ve gone too far this time Navarra, there’s nothing you can do to keep this alliance!”
Navarra: “Fuck England?”
France: “… Fuck England.”
Maybe someday God will forgive me for what im about to say.
Colonial Uzbek when?
🗿
@@Quarbit I have never understood what the Moai Head is meant to represent.
Colonial Uzbek sounds literally insane, so yeah.
@@Bloodlyshiva it's like 😐 but the shadow from the brow conceals the eyes
I just think it's funny
@@Bloodlyshivajust say “bruh” in place of the emoji and it essentially captures the same meaning
37:44 this is true actually the the king of Navarre inherited the throne of france in late 1500s. The king title of france after this was King of France Navarre until the french revolution.
A similar thing happened to Britain actually, where the King of Hanover actually wound up being the senior partner in a personal union over Great Britain, but the Administration just preferred Britain over Hanover, and by the time of George III, he never even set foot in Hanover. It put the British king in the position of an elector in the HRE, which became one of the most powerful blocs in the HRE. It only broke off in 1837 with the ascension of Queen Victoria, because Hanover didn't allow the ascension of women in its succession laws.
That was Henri IV. He was a cousin of the king but protestant. When Henri III died of unfortunate cicumstances, he converted (again) to Catholicism and became king of France. He was the king who did the edict of Nantes essentially ending the War of Religion in France (which killed around 20% of the French population). There is still a saying in France on the Kingdom of France and Navarra meaning when something is applied everywhere, universal.
"We hate you." "Hey we hate England too" "Okay we're cool." Classic French moment.
38:00 Yes it happened ! During the Wars of Religion in the 17th century, France was really scraping the barrel when it came to an heir, and with the whole civil war thing, we needed one with an army. Hence, Henry IV, Protestant king of Navarra, defeated the radical Catholics forces and officially converted to Catholicism to take the French throne. He’s also widely regarded as one of France’s best kings, and that’s why the Bourbon, his royal house, like Louis XIV are called King of France and Navarra
That intro is so true it hurts, hate it that some nations are so rng its just restarting until some miracle happens
Pretty sure Portugal always allies Ethiopia. Its part of Ethiopia's mission tree.
imagine being granada in 1518 seeing all the christians ignore them for decades and thinking you might be ok
castillian AI having their troops chilling in the islands during a war is such a mood
So yeah the France-Navarra PU dates from when we put Henry III of Navarra on the throne during the whole protestant thing. All our subsequent kings were called "Roi de France et de Navarre"
Navarre did "inherit" France at one point and it is exactly as you said. Google Henry IV of France to learn more.
During the french wars of religion, at the end the King was Henri king of Navarre, who became King of Both.
Colonial not spawning is very good for you. You will have forever to convert until Absolutism Spawns lmao.
43:49 with those sfx, the game can't decide whether to feel bad for you or to laugh at your heir dying
Henri IV was king of Navarra and became king of France. As you can imagine, he just went "yeah I'm king of France now".
27:27 gotta love the ottobros when they're your ally
Henry IV of France was originally King of Navarre.
okay kworby
okay dualrotorhelicopter
Very rarely Burgundy can choose to have a random Burgundian noble inherit rather than any of their royal marriages.
Venicean Constantinople is the most blursed thing I have seen today
Quarbit and achievement runs. Achievementbros we are so back
@27:43 the Scottomans have entered the game
In my Navarra game, Aragon got the PU on Castile. And me with French's help, i got the PU on Aragon. After that i got Burgundy inheritance with a random mariage.
Kinda glad you didn't get Burgundy, not only did it work out better with France but we got to see them do pretty well for themselves and thats always nice to see. When they don't die that is.
There were a few opportunities to get an heir on the throne and queue them up along hungary and austria though
I found it was more effective to grab land from Aragon, and vassal-sub them later, than to take the union in the first war. The union slows you down, and is only worth it if they keep Naples AND you have the allies to win both.
Man, this is one of those runs. Great time.
The Bourbons are "originally" the kings of Navarre...
Portugal reunited with galicia!!! It's. . . . . . . beautiful 🥲
That is one hell of a Burgandy in this run, especially given how the AI almost always loses it.
Castille with a Lancaster on the throne... cursed.
46:43 I’ve never actually seen an AI meme by culture converting an important province. That’s meme-y.
"To be Frank"... I see you 😂
Navarra my beloved
Plz plz 😭😭 I need a second part! I enjoyed soo much! Plz
If you think about it. You could have also made it into a Roman empire attempt, you only were really missing North and central Italy a portion of the middle East and both Anatolia and the Balkans (though that would be if you were attempting to do that specific achievement)
This is a better start than my Castile games 😭
Ethiopia has a mission that gives them an aliance with portugal FYI. This is why they were allied
I am shocked that you have not gotten architectural development event because I have gotten that event in almost every campaign!
Someone loves their constitutional monarchies 😂😂
Great campaign 👏
Take a shot every time he says "frankly"
Quarbit Navarra experience aka daughters come daughters go lol
Falling under a PU with Castile/Aragon is not so bad at all. They are often rivaled to France, England and other strong nations, which support your independence. I think that is in fact the easiest start...
I can feel my basque blood rising. Make basque culture great again my brother as we are spains best sailors
lin manuel miranda jump scare
Pope: "LEMME HATE YOUUUU"
Castile with a Lancaster. Geeze
Getting PUs over major european powers is always fun =D
When you fully annex a colonial overlord you automatically get all their colonial nations.
Wondering if there would be a way to flip a Personal Union. Change who is the dominant partner.
*clears throat*
streamer luck
Let's goo
Omg new video 🎉🎉
I did this achievement by getting Burgundy via the horse event😅
why didnt you full annex portugal so you could inherit their colony?
at 27:25 I mention that I don't want to annex portugal completely (which I didn't mention previously)
I was going to use portugal as a truce reset for castile (which was unexpectedly unnecessary) by keeping them alive and hoping they re-ally castile (which they did eventually)
but I didn't want the colony to break free before I had a chance to annex portugal
it seemed like a good middle ground, given my plans
Portugal usually can't be full annexed because they have a decision to move the monarchy to Brazil if they lose enough Europe land
@@Anselmer_ what does that have to do with anything?
@@bytelaw1711 Considering you wanted Portugal full annexed, and they have a way to prevent being full annexed, I'd say that it's a pretty relevant thing to bring up.
@@hirocheeto7795 i rarely see that happen and its easy to circumvent
If I hadn't seen your terrible luck in other videos id be suss on this opener. 😂
Should have Basqued in Roman glory
I really want to see someone do a chinook (north west u.s tribe) game where they take over every province that touches the pacific ocean call it the salmon run.
you would have to start as a tribe in the north west u.s, defend from europe who is coming west towards you, while you yourself sail west to fight the empires of asia.
please do it before eu5 😢
Your avatar reminds me of loid forager from spy x family.
any chance Poland into PLC? or trade Novgorod into trade Russia?
Historical Navarra is almost impossible to recreate in EU4.
Historical accuracy in this game is not a thing. How many wars realistically were “a total occupation where we brought our country to the edge of utter bankruptcy. To conquer like 4 provinces cause Europe would panic otherwise.”
@@nofoxgiven6561 oh assuredly
we want anbennar 😡🤭
ok now do re-reconquista! (preferably while still retaining at least 1 province in Iberia always)
did that one already! here's the first half: ruclips.net/video/uUqcF6sdDrM/видео.html
@@Quarbit im actually kinda mad your runt went so wel in both navarra and granadal. blessed iberia child.
Why do you run your crownland so low? The thought of that autonomy is killing me.
lower crownland gives you more money when you sell titles
When you are a one province minor you won’t have the autonomy change in your capital. Keep estate influence low and as you conquer land your crownlands increases, unless the mechanic has changed without my knowledge.
anbennar worldmap looking weird
navarra into rome?
Enforce peace is such a horrible mechanic
It doesn't give truce or anything
So your rival can enforce peace while they have a truce with you without any consequences
7:40 "fabricate a claim on grenada" ma man... you have claims on all of iberia
i forgor
10:50 The Ottomans just don't want the Armenians or Kurds to get any ideas
how the f do you have 5 diplomats this early 2:00
1444 Navarra starts with 4 (2 from base, +1 for kingdom rank, +1 for unique navarra government)
then just take the parliament issue for the additional diplomat
when's the next australia video quarbo
😟
Why do you have a creepy talking cartoon? You didn’t use to have this.
it's been 18 months, just let it go lil bro
Dude. Go buy a lotto ticket
interessting Navarra have many daughters :D to many
This ain't Anbennar. What the fuck.
Didn't i see Burgundy several times without an heir? so you could have probably get them on your dynasty too? At that point, you're pretty close to restoring rome as Navarra... come on, that's gotta sound funny to you
You still have Voltaires Nightmare umcompleted? So you never did a vassal swarm HRE run? Really? I expected more of you (I think i cheated this achievement by creating a custam nation in the HRE that could release a million opms like Krakow or Ruppin and got it day one but still: HOW DARE YOU).
RIGGED!
