The funniest thing about the Raj is that the developers initially wanted to give it the HRE mechanics but apparently EU4 does not allow for the existence of 2 HRE at the same time so they had to create an entire different system to recreate it.

@@owentucker6215 Yeah i'm sure they are keeping an eye and some features looks really interesting (like pops and the ability to have more than 1 HRE) but even if the game came out tomorrow i think it would take more than a year before they released anything IF the game was really good to mod. For a while anbennar will continue to live on EU4.

I actually recommend playing as the Command at least once. With the added challange to complete the final Mission before 1650 for maximum reward. That is harder than I thought it would be

Venail is a fun nation to try out. It's all about an exodus to the new world and creating a new Elven empire. It has a special disaster that leads to multiple different outcomes depending on your choices. The discord has a nice graphic if you want to look at all the options. (One of them lets you have a cool magic lady)
I think k in the cannon lore of the game, this empire is meant to fail. That's why it's so hard. I almost wonder what letting it break apart and then continuing as the ruler looks like.

to give a comparison as to how much of a money printer the Gulf of Rahen trade node is when I was playing Ovdal Tungr (the copper dwarves in Bulwar with very strong trading/merchant mechanics), about 100 years into the game and 1000 dev later, the value of my main trade node was only *slightly* higher than the Gulf of Rahen node insane
Verne is pretty fun for humans. Start as a middling power with the potential to become HRE emperor, situated to become absolutely massive by swallowing busilar and ebothril. You’re a colonial powerhouse, I usually like colonizing up into escann and forming castanor. Helping out wyverneheart. Then uniting Anbennar. You’ll be absolutely flush with cash by 1500 if you do it right lol

When the next update comes out, you should play one of the Southern Alentair(?) Ruinborn has all three regions are getting a lot of content for you to play with and it would be the most ideal to show off the Ruinborns, which like Humans or Dwarves, there is so many of them that each playstyle is different
The expectations some of the Anbennar devs have of their players are a little strange. I was told that if I started playing anywhere with the sun elves by 1600, I was pretty much supposed to have taken all of the Raj already
I will say, I hope you install the Eagle Hobgoblin Submod when the wheel finally turns to the Hobgobbo race. They're interesting and do more than just Go Goblin Mode on Haless and mass-conquer. They *still do that*, they're still Hobgobbos, but they've got a lot of fun little quirks that make them feel very different to the Command. If you do decide to go and play The Command for Hobgobbos, their unique mechanics can still make a fun game, but there's only really two points where things are difficult.
To have fun with the Command it really helps if you treat a normal run the way you would treat a challenge run for other nations (IE, "finish the mission tree by 1650", or "only use X types of troop", or "roleplay according to your leader's traits".
Saw the AI Raj unify in a game where I was getting absolutely shafted by the Command. excellent ally in the short term but I’m really scared of what it’s gonna look like when the hobs are out of the picture
It's pretty crazy luck honestly that none of the major powers you have to deal with Jadd, Command, Xia and Bianfang popped off so you didn't have to deal with a lot of outside issues.
The raj is, on paper extremely powerful as long as you don't suffer the collapse events, which keeps others at bay for a while and gives some breathing room, because they calculate you as not worth the hassle. But in reality you're a paper tiger (hah).
5:15 Obviously you couldn't with the regency, but it makes your game 10x easier if you declare war on the Command while they're in that war. Winning it removes the strongest power in the region, and helps massively in dealing with the disaster. Even starting your own war, you'll just be in the one with Sir, so you can't separate peace, but just occupy/have Sir occupy their capital and the warband capitals, and the Command splinters

nah. I basically only play anbennar anymore. I think it is normal. Base game is bound to get stale eventually for most players. Some will move on, some will turn to modded EU4 and among that Anbennar is top tier.
I haven't watched the video yet, but isn't this country straight up doomed to fail? I saw people sharing stories of their attempts and it it didn't seem possible to pull out of the *first* disaster chain.

The Dhenijanraj is like playing Sim City with a 2 year old having control of the ability to cast Meteor Swarm at will

Playing Command is ok. Playing AGAINST the Command on VH is the real challenge. They get up to 2-3M manpower by the 1600s.

the dwarves in the pho mountains are fun, you have one/two provinces entire game and vassal swarm.
They also do a lot of sneaky magic shenanigans, which is very unique and fun.
Get ready for a comtinent wide magic circle. Another good dwarf run is the beer hold.

i always play this on VH so i didnt even know the command could implode lmao xD they usually show up with a million men army 150 y into the game
they almost always win the Sir revolt without player intervention, so you're not missing much

I super recommend your elf run be Varamhar. But its quite an elaborate tree, so might be a better stream campaign

Regarding 'needing to replace the minister', you could have subsidised the enemies of your rival in the war he is having and gained PP that way.

I've never been able to get a hang of Rahen mechanics
After you're done with races you should do a region playthrough because the gameplay for the different regions are so vast
The Harimari are my favourite Anbennar race, but i've never played the Dhenijanraj, it looks tough.
