FINALLY,someone scrubbing/shampooing not only their scalp but also the ENTIRE length of their locs.I always see people do these wash w/me vlogs and I'm like ..I just know their hair isn't clean..this video needs to go viral in the loc community lol!Take notes yahll!lol

I don’t see how because the scalp is where the hair is growing of so that definitely needs to be cleaned first. I’ve seen people usually cleans the shaft on the second wash and plus the soap is still going down the shaft as they rinse. If not, I mean that’s what a AVC rinse or detox is for eventually. I do sometimes have issues on shampoo still being my locs sometimes.

When do you rinse the aloe vera out or do you keep it in. I made a aloe vera spray with water and jojoba oil and use it daily on my locks. I wash my hair once a week. Sometimes sooner it all depends on the weather cause I like getting my dreads dry naturally. After I wash it with charcoal shampoo I make a mixture of fresh aloe and green tea and blend it and strain and then that would be my last rinse over my dreads. I leave it on until the next wash. Daily I use my mixture I told you about. I spray my scalp and mist my dreads and the ends and in the late afternoon again. My dreads are going for 6 months but my loctition said it look like one year old dreads. Iv learned to maintain my own hair now via crochet hook, holistic way. I'm doing a course end of month for becoming a loctition. I never knew my life could change for the better so much. I love creating dreads, I go into a trance and it's like my hands just know what to do. This course will show me how I can make money out of dreading peoples hair. You start with one client. And you rent a chair in a hair salon and built up your client list. From there you can start building q future doing what you love and also making people happy by helping them through a new transformation in there life and believe me you know when it's happening and it's awesome. I want all my clients to be happy and be able to open up to me for hair takes many long hard working hours. My loctition said I have a talent and I should persist my dream and see where it takes me from here. I'm just about done with my full head maintenance. I'm practicing before the course. It's coming out nice I am happy with my beautiful dreads. I truly feel more myself since I had dreads done. It feels like it's meant to be and cause I take good care of them they look healthy. At least when I need to fix something I just take out my crochet hook. I love that tool. I sleep with a satin bonnet every night and I know that it helps keep hair look good, less frizz. I actually like keeping my bonnet on for a couple of days If I'm at home, it makes it feel tighter and much less fizz. Helps to grow the locks faster I think or make them thicker,something like that. Thanx for this chat lol. Did not mean to be so long. But yeah girl. Try some green tea and blend that with the aloe vera and add about 10 drops jojoba oil. Spray morning and afternoon. Keep in fridge. After few months, about 2 months you will be amazed for real xxx
Thanks for this vid. I know I am late to the party. My sil wants locs so I sent her links to all vids about care of locs. I agree everything needs to be washed from scalo to ends Imo smells and gunk easily gets enmeshed into the length of the dreads more than the scalp. My advice is always that anything you wanna do with your hair requires a clean base to start off with and it all takes time irrespective of what you wanna do with your hair. If you're not gonna take care of it, then get a buzz cut. No style is an excuse for laziness. I had locs several years ago, actually decades ago and I cannot stress how much better you feel after a good wash. I used to dilute my shampoo and conditioner before application. It just made rinsing easier. Washing regularly meant I actually spent less time and money on my hair than doing a quarterly wash. I used to wash every 7-10 days and used a coil hairdryer. Mine wasnt very long, about chin length. I hav to add I got tired of it very quickly though.

@@shazexpressions cos I am a short hair girl. I LOVE very short hair. I have a great 3b curl which I just prefer wearing in a short curly pixie. I switch it up ever so often. At the moment I am growing it.Wheb I had the locs I grew my hair for a while. My hair is also naturally thin and fine, so the locs didn't look as good as a curly fro.

I work in a predominantly white environment and am surrounded by negative commentary (ignorance) concerning people of color, their lifestyles, and their hair. I will be trying this aloe vera process next wash day, hopefully! I use the leaf on my daughter's loose natural hair and love how it helps her hair. She'll be three in a couple of weeks and her hair is mid- back length.

Hi, I really enjoy this video. I'm new to this channel. I'm natural, but I only been platting my hair since it has grown out since my big chop. I was told to do an aloe vera treatment on my hair. Now seeing your video, I may try and do it with my platts in. I wanna ask you, how often do you do this treatment? I also seen videos of people saying that too much aloe vera can cause protein overload. I use aloe juice to moisturizer my hair. Sorry for the novel, your hair is beautiful 🙏❤️

Before getting locs i used aloe vera all the time on my hair. I wondered how it would do on locs. My question is, did you let it stay in your hair or rinsed it out? On my natural hair i would let it sit over night and rinse in the morning. I do use 100% aloe vera juice in my hair a couple a times a week, but never left the gel in.
This is my question too! How long does she leave this gel in after her wash?? I want to try on my husband locs but don’t want to mess up my current routine we are 3 years into his journey and his hair is thriving!!’ I just want to start using more natural products for moisturizing other than than oils! And thank you for your comments in doing to try on my natural hair

Please don't wring your hair out. It will weaken your locs. I just squeeze my locs. I'be had them for 22 years.
I recommend you look for fast hair growth fortified shampoo.

I actually left the Aloe Vera in my locs .I do that at times sometimes I rinse it off
I waited till it was completely dried and gave my locs a good moisturizing with my oils

That's ok lovie I got ya 😊 honestly I can't recall if I did wash it off in this video or not , some times I do and sometimes I don't wash it off , which ever way works wonders. If you do decide to wash it off you can let Aloe Vera sit in for like 1o- 15 even up to 30mins before washing it off depending on your schedule . Thanks for being here🥰#BLESSINGS

Hey queen, welcome to Sha'z Famz! Question; what products do you use on your locs cause that could be a huge factor of build up residue... Have you ever considered doing an ACV RINSE? That should loosen up the build- up from your roots down. I don't have root build- up , I really believe in natural products and less is best, like I've always said ... please keep me posted ok ... blessings
@@shazexpressions Hi, prior to using the aloe (for the first time and didn’t realize I needed to strain it) I’ve never had buildup. Used the same products for 4 years and had never experienced white buildup at the roots. Yes I done ACV rinse , did one yesterday to see if I can get rid of the white aloe residue may need to do another get to be sure it’s gone. Thank you for replying
