After you scoop the aloe Vera gel out you're suppose to let it soak in a bowl of water for about 45min or until the aloe turns completely clear, cuz doing so flushes out the natural latex that's in the aloe. The latex in it is toxic to humans especially if you ingest it. Much Love, Respect and Good Vibes to you 💙 🙏

People please please please please strain your aloe juice/pulp if you don’t when it dries it leaves the “most” amount of white fibrous bits that’s impossible to remove from locs. Otherwise you hair is beautiful. 😊🇬🇧

My first set of locs I made the mistake of not straining NEVER again tho. I now strain twice through cloth and freeze into small batches mixed with a little vitamin e oil to preserve it. I then use as & when needed as a moisturiser so in fridge it’ll last up to a week, definitely softens my locs. No need to be afraid just be carful. 😉🇬🇧

I use to use aloe so much in the beginning 3 years of journey but then I stopped.. I think I’ll start back for sure I notice a difference in my hair now and then. I also never had scalp issue until I stopped. I see a correlation 😅 so I will definitely get back on board starting tonight ❤
I would use aloe gel to retwist my locs or make flaxseed gel. I love it!

I love this regimen!! I’ve been trying to figure out a way to apply the gel from the plant but I sort of do this just not the full regimen but I will do this for in between my washes bc I don’t want my locs to often being that I don’t put products in my hair but oil water and aloe Vera for retwisting ! ❤

So I am month 2 into my locs and I just did a aloe mask before washing. Now I have flakes 🥴. I blended the juice with Avocado oil, a squeeze of key lime juice & raw honey. Hair feels amazinggggggg but the flakessss 🥺 how do I get rid of them.

l would advise you to cover your locs with something silky satin whenever you may be exposed to the sun for a long period of time.

It really won't do anything if you apply aloe to your first day locs make sure you keep something to cover your hair if you're not gonna wash it immediately.

After you finish with the rest of the aloe do you put it in the fridge and continue to use it or you pour it out

Aloe Vera contains antioxidants, enzymes , vitamins A & C and the list goes on. And yes you can refrigerate it but it won't stand for too long , no preservatives . Then, I started applying Aloe Vera
I was worried that if I did earlier, it would unravel . I got soft hair
It always leaves residual in my hair
How long so you Recommended this be done on someones locs. Also do you have any tips to storing the áloe verá juice

I would recommend leaving it in as long as the person feels comfortable
I personally leave in the gel 10/15 minutes if I decide to wash it off on that particular day ... A queen gots things to do lol
I'm trying to figure out a method to preserve it longer
I normally just refrigerate it; it lasted up to two weeks so far without any preservatives
You can also freeze it in ice cube trays if you make a lot then thaw it out when you're ready to use it.

@@shazexpressions I retwist once month, when I started my loc journey, I retwisted and styled every after two weeks. My hair care routine is wash with shampoo then moisturizing with plain water and finishing off with Jamaican black castor oil and coconut oil then I let it set

Casteroil is really good it will help with the thinkness from your scalp
My advise on retwisting is try to go a few months no retwisting allow your locs to rebuild its strength and see what happens
Double up on your hair care / oil routine always apply water on your locs before using oils this method will allow your locs to lock in the oils and its nutrients..please keep me posted Queen
